Watching this series since this is the ship we sail on to Hawaii in January 2024 and LOVE that you took the time to share the Therma Suite pass. I have it for our 18 day cruise to Hawaii, my partner wouldn't care for it, love the heated loungers as well and the ice water they have available. Another home run series, thank you!
Just found you all! I love HAL and have cruised them for over 25 years. Cannot believe it. I started cruising in my 20's on HAL. One thing I love to do.....is go to the outdoor hot tub at night and look at the stars. Your virtually alone and it is outstanding!
I hear people saying the picture or video doesn't do it justice..... being there on that cruise, it is absolutely true. The most majestic sight I have ever witnessed!! Bleak, desolate and awe inspiring only scratches the surface. Thank-you EECC for setting this cruise up. Bucket list item checked off!! Next up Greece!!
I've just watched a number of your Alaska videos, very well presented, thank you so much for wetting my anticipation. Getting the itchy feet for my 7-day land and 7-day cruise out of Anchorage in 111 day's time (but who's counting). I've got an aft balcony on Royal Princess for the cruise. This will make USA state 49 that I have road tripped, only Hawaii to go.
Fun to watch you compare Pinnacle on the Koningsdam vs The Nieuw Statendam. Jason I have had the mushroom soup and it is delicious. We got the chef to give me the recipe!
Alaska was our last cruise before the shut down and was planned as a one time cruise to Alaska due to the significant difference in price over a traditional Caribbean cruise, combined with the additional travel costs from Atlantic Canada. WOW were we ever blown away and changed our minds. We sailed CCL but it was a Journeys cruise and it was 9 days from Vancouver and we got to sail Glacier Bay National Park and up to John Hopkins Glacier as well. They explained that John Hopkins is only accessible to the ships after the 2nd week of September due to seal calving season so we were doubly lucky. I 100% am a believer that cameras cannot do justice to the awesomeness of Alaska. Every turn we went around was another overload to the senses, I almost felt exhausted from trying to process it all. Alaska is now going to be a cruise we take every few years.
We have only been on 1 cruise and that was a cruise tour in Alaska. It was the most incredible thing my wife and I had ever done. Glacier Bay was absolutely breathtaking. Watching the glaciers calving into the water was very awesome to see. I truly hope to get the chance to return someday with our son. An absolute dream come true.
Alyssa & Jason...your videos have become some of the most informative videos about cruising on youtube, yet they are filled with your fun filled adventures and your senses of humor! Love to both of you!
O my goodness that guy that was next to you in hot tub with brown beard o my goodness I need to go to alaska haha. Thank you for video it was so amazing. I like you 2 so much. Lots of blessings to you
Loving the sound with this vlog series - very stranger things ❤ on a more serious note - we have already looked at when we can make a return to the Alaska
I’ve been enjoying your Alaska series. We’re so excited to experience our first ever cruise next month in Alaska via Koningsdam-Vancouver which we are locals.
On my cruise to Alaska in August the glaciers was so beautiful. It rained every day, but it was still beautiful. I enjoyed your video. On my cruise for mother's Day on the Celebration, I have the spa cabin, so I'll be able to try the spa.
On the Eurodam instead of going to deck 3 I went to deck 5 and out and watched. I may not have had a close of view but there were only 3 or 4 people out there so I kind of go a private view. I loved it !
Great vlog, can't wait to go next June. Jason we are from the south, next cruise pack some Tonys with you and have the chef throw a little of that on your steak. Yummy 😋
Just cruised from Vancouver to Whittier(including Glacier Bay) and then on to Denali for 3 nights. It wasn't a vacation. It was a life changing experience.
pinnacle - my sister and I both say the mushroom soup is the best we've ever had. She really enjoyed the crème brule so much that we made a second reservation just to go back for the soup and creme brule. my favorite though...Tamarind YOU MUST go to Tamarind. That is all.
Hi! I watch all your videos and love them! I am considering an Alaska cruise either 23 or 30 September. Do you think that is too late in the season to.enjoy Alaska?
We love Pinnacle Grille but we had the Filet also so maybe they just do that well. Agree with crab cakes. I'm from originally from Maryland so I'm a little picky
We’ve only been on a few cruises & both were in balcony cabins. They give me comfort being able to look out of a window while you’re resting, when you’re out & about you stay busy so your mind is elsewhere. Long story short, I’d absolutely have to get a balcony for this cruise because of one word … magnificent! Alisa, you looked so relaxed & comfy on those big pillows I had only 1 thought, hmm I want whatever she’s having! I always look forward to y’all’s videos, that whenever I see my notifications, I’m always hoping it’s from y’all! 💛
Important.that we get to see the glacier and we do whale watch on our trip im looking forward that we taking the Holland America cruise line so from seattle
Just wondering when you have videos on your phone. Do you upload directly to RUclips or computer first. We are cruising around Australia and I have having issues uploading my videos on my phone to RUclips. Any suggestions.
We are watching you two at the steak dinner and Angel commented on how this is a good look for you Alisa. She said your hair makes you look good and younger. Sorry we missed this one.
Now is the time to go see Glaciers as leave it five or ten years and they may have all melted if things continue at the same rate. One on Iceland has retreated over 5 mile in as many years. One place in the Scottish Highlands that had a covering of snow that remained all summer has melted this year for the first time ever. Crab Cakes? More like Crab Balls but that may have been a bit rude for a menu. An Alaskan cruise may be out of my range as would involve a flight or two, pet phobia, so may have to make do with a Norwegian Fjord one from England (Dover, not just a ferry port), taking in Scotland, Scapa Flow and the Shetland Islands.
We’ll be there next June on Ovation. I’ve heard HAL is the preferred way to go but after two cruises on their ships we weren’t impressed with several of their venues so we’re sticking with Royal. You didn’t mention what month you filmed this but it sure looked cold.
The reason a lot of people recommend HAL is because they have permits to get into Glacier Bay. Some of the cruise lines don't. All of alaska is beautiful. And then there's Glacier Bay.
Just booked an Alaskan trip next year! Quick question, is a 10 am flight on disembarkation day too risky? I’m afraid I won’t make it off the ship in time and get through security at Seattle airport to make the flight back home..any thoughts?
I have to say because you put down Carnival Cruise food……we just got back from their cruise to Alaska the early part of July, 2023….. their main dining room food was the best I have ever eaten in my life. It looks like some of the other cruise lines go for the look of the food (executive chef style) and it does not look as good as Carnival. Just my two cents worth.
Just came off a 4 day cruise (no time for a longer one) I LOST 2 pounds because the food was so lousy..everyone was complaining. Good for my waistline damn lousy for my attitude. I want your food!!!
Nice! Your videos should be seen by more viewers. May I repost your channel without changing anything on the clean platform named Ganjing World? Thank you!

We came over from Ireland to travel Rocky mountaineer to Vancouver then koningsdam to Alaska for a once in a lifetime journey. Absolutely amazing 😍
Amazing 😍

I was on that ship last month! I already miss it!!
When we were there in the mid ‘80s, we sat on the bow at tables, in the sunshine, and in shirtsleeves.
I was there 13 years ago on the Zuiderdam. What a fantastic trip!

Wauw those views 😍😍😍😍 i sure could stand on the balcony watch for hours ( 😅 but well wrapped up 😜)
Thank you for sharing this with me. I remember this one and I love it.
Epic view of Alaska. The bloopers are funny to watch. Cheers.!
We took this exact cruise in July. It was amazing!
Food looks delicious, no complaints from my eyes.

My 2 favorite cruises to date: Alaska with glacier bay and Norway fijords
Norway is on our list!!
Alyssa & Jason...your videos have become some of the most informative videos about cruising on youtube, yet they are filled with your fun filled adventures and your senses of humor! Love to both of you!

Isn’t Alaska the best??

Everyone is so quiet on the deck while looking at glaciers. It is like everyone is trying to be respectful to nature.
Yes! It is a magical experience!
FYI the glacier you should at 2:01 is an unnamed glacier and the one you show as Reid is actually Lamplugh!
Love your videos, if you haven't tried Tamarind on HAL yet, it's a must do. Best drinks and dinner onboard--better than Pinnacle and Club Orange.
On the Eurodam instead of going to deck 3 I went to deck 5 and out and watched. I may not have had a close of view but there were only 3 or 4 people out there so I kind of go a private view. I loved it !

Or Buc-ees Steak seasoning! The chef might nic it though😁
Love love you hair at this length!
Thanks for sharing. Which month was it? Did you use binoculars?
Just cruised from Vancouver to Whittier(including Glacier Bay) and then on to Denali for 3 nights. It wasn't a vacation. It was a life changing experience.
Yes!! Alaska will do that to you!

That view is why the word serene was invented.

A balcony is a must for Alaska! I can sit out there for hours and gaze at the beauty ❤️
💛

How much was the week pass for the spa? I’m curious
What month were you in Alaska😊
September
Just wondering when you have videos on your phone. Do you upload directly to RUclips or computer first.
We are cruising around Australia and I have having issues uploading my videos on my phone to RUclips. Any suggestions.
You should be able to view our videos on your phone, computer or tv at the same time. They are uploaded to RUclips but can be watched on any device.
Given that you guys have cruised so many times, on many different ships, how would you rank the koningsdam?
on the Rotterdam I was in the thermal suite daily
We are watching you two at the steak dinner and Angel commented on how this is a good look for you Alisa. She said your hair makes you look good and younger. Sorry we missed this one.
We missed you two!
I thought you had to wear a jacket to dinner on Holland América?

Girl, I love your new haircut! It is perfect for you. Very attractive!

Chunks of water in the ice 😂😂😂😂
💕
Glaciers cracking and falling in the water.
That’s global warming for you.
awesome guys
