You who were the only one cold Could you see that the snow was warm and white Christmas is coming here You who wove the angels’ tears You warm up when the tears turn to ice Christmas is coming here Winter shows a sky so clear And promises the darkest nights will become day And the night will become day Take us home when the winds wander Down all the mountains and embrace the smallest town Give a human shelter Hold my heart, warming hands Feel that it burns, feel that it has one life Give a human time The angels give us a singing valley Where we can live together in lonely days And days become years You who made the riddles of winter Whispered of snow for a thousand years before we Learned the song of life Carry us on the strongest wings Strengthened by hope and we will rise because Hope has a child And it shows that even in a winter so deep There exists a sky so full of light Christmas is coming here Christmas is coming here ♡°♡°♡°♡°♡°♡°♡°♡°♡
Great reaction, man. How good that English speaking people dare opening up their hearts to beautiful songs performed in other languages than their mother tongue. ;-) As a Norwegian I obviously do understand the lyrics and the whole atmosphere in this song gives this cosy feeling of winter and Christmas. This beautiful song is written by Aurora herself, and the melody is (as mentioned in another comment) influenced by traditional Norwegian folk music, and I can add that the song technique that she uses here has a touch of that as well, which gives the song credibility for my sake. This is the real thing. This is beautiful and your reaction makes me happy too.
You are on the track to Norway and I love that you get into Norwegian music. I hope that you have the english translated lyrics. Norwegian folk music can be enchanting and pleasant to listen to.
You who were the only one cold
Could you see that the snow was warm and white
Christmas is coming here
You who wove the angels’ tears
You warm up when the tears turn to ice
Christmas is coming here
Winter shows a sky so clear
And promises the darkest nights will become day
And the night will become day
Take us home when the winds wander
Down all the mountains and embrace the smallest town
Give a human shelter
Hold my heart, warming hands
Feel that it burns, feel that it has one life
Give a human time
The angels give us a singing valley
Where we can live together in lonely days
And days become years
You who made the riddles of winter
Whispered of snow for a thousand years before we Learned the song of life
Carry us on the strongest wings
Strengthened by hope and we will rise because
Hope has a child
And it shows that even in a winter so deep
There exists a sky so full of light
Christmas is coming here
Christmas is coming here
