Akshan’s moveset just feels like a never ending ‘yes and’ statement.
"oh, so his W lets him go camo like Twitch, that's cool. oh, it's indefinite so long he's near a wall? i mean, that's not the worst, it's just a worse Evelynn passive, really. wait, he also tracks enemies who've recently killed his allies? and gains movement speed when moving towards them? why does he have Warwick's entire W as PART of his own W? AND he gains mana regen if he's facing a nearby marked target? wait, if he kills a marked enemy, he gains 100 bonus gold? i mean, i guess that's supposed to incentivize you to specifically go for your marked targets, but- WAIT. he REVIVES HIS ALLIES IF HE KILLS A MARKED TARGET? WHY DOES HE ALSO GET BONUS GOLD? WHY DOES HE EVEN REVIVE PEOPLE? WHY IS THAT A GAME MECHANIC?"
seriously, there's a fucking reason they removed the revive summoner spell ages ago. i despise Akshan's W to the very core of my being. i firmly believe it is the most unbelievably broken ability in the game in the terms of game satisfaction and balance.
@@Dracon350 he stole 3 identities, gives free money and even have revives on 1 ability and it still isnt even the main part of his kit, like wtf was riot thinking
Akshan's character arc: kills warlords for vengence, gets reformed, now kills warlords for fun
Akshan's story seems perfect to start a new adventure. Somebody like Swain or the black lotus or Azir wanting to get ahold of the revive gun could be an interesting plot. Maybe it brings back Mord. He can be a story hook, mcguffin side character. And I think that's perfect for him. Especially since his warlord hunting status quo means he can always be doing his own thing too.
It would actually he interesting if more street level stuff was what he wants to do. Like, so many superheros go on to fight world ending threats and suff when they started up to fight allyway muggers. Maybe he sees this, and is content with bringing justice to the everyman. I think it's a interesting thing, to choose (and enjoy) the lower stakes stuff despite having the ability to be fighting the watchers with the heavyweights
Akshan is weird because his design is really complicated but his gameplay is really simple. Like he has a million passives but when you actually play him, you just swing around and auto-attack.
Its true but he gets so much more for just playing the game like everyone else that is the problem with him.

@@giomongta6961 exactly my take. the rest of his kit is honestly not so bad, i'll even let the bonus gold on his W slide, just take away the stupid fucking revive. retcon his absolver, hell, the whole ruination event should be retconned anyways. they did Yorick SO fucking dirty.
his W actively punishes the enemy team for playing well. it completely removes the down time of his teammates being dead, and therefore completely removes the lead the enemy SHOULD'VE gained.
If I recall Akshan legit started out as once of the champion team devs own fantasized OC character in terms of story and background, which was then cultivated into the champion we know today
Story-wise, Akshan's sort of like a comic book superhero, where he doesn't have anything that he HAS to do, until a villain/antagonist shows up for him to actually come up against.
On June of 2021, I myself was about to dispose the video "game" League of Legends from the disk space of my PC. Until the charismatic crazed maniac version of Batman was revealed, and I just shit my pants and was hooked by his infinite charm and awesome coolness.
He's literally the reason I started going to the gym (to look like him), and from that I just went on self improvement and becoming a better person (still improving). Though I kind of stopped playing the game, I still keep coming back to play him from time to time.
The way I like to interpret Akshan lore is that he couldn’t revive his master (forgot the name) due to the time limit of the artifact, so when he did kill the assassin, it wasn’t for her, but for himself. In his background, it says that he lives with just one rule: “don’t be a jerk”, so the way I like to interpret him it’s that his is more like a wandering vigilante, doing whatever he feels is right thing to do, on contrary to the sentinel whole thing about not interfering
I just thinks he’s neat, although I did not watch or seen the Ruination event
This more conversational, chill tone is a great mix with your usual content. It's also really interesting hearing your opinions on champs that you haven't really made a video on or expressed your thoughts on in length. I also like watching you just play the game, it's nice to see someone who doesn't really play with the intention of winning so much as to show off the champ they're talking about

There are four (akshan, yuumi, fiora and nilah) champions who i think are bad for the game and with all of them its just a case of remove the unnecessary nonsense and they'd be a fun healthy character. Akshan epitomises this the most.
His kit is a little random but super fun, he has 5.passives and he needs none of them. Just keep the double auto attack and thats it. Also he needs actual lore

I've loved playing Wild rift and watching Content from Creators like Nickyboi made me try Base League and weeeelll. I love a lot of things about the game but my dream game would be in the middle of the two. Also wish could be a shorter game mode because having someone constantly try to tell you off while they are your support who ditched at the start then complained about me dying to everything because could not do anything.....I think I just needed to say this but practicing against bots until I master a character.

Rare Akshan main here. I think that despite his admittedly complicated kit he's actually demonstrated himself to be one of League's most consistently balanced Champions. The revive is nowhere near as big of a deal as people make it out to be (it really comes into play only once every few games) and the rest of the kit (yes, even the stealth) contributes to his major gameplay idea, that being that he's a cross between an ADC and an assassin. And imo not only is this gameplay very, VERY fun but it also has very clear cut weaknesses (no utility beyond revive, extreme squishiness, difficult time getting out of combat if enemies know how the hook works etc.).

Reviving in games has always been controversial, I mean look at Mercy from Overwatch for a good example.
I think that if you wanna balance him a bit more make it so his revive can either only be done if he ults or he can only revive one person at a time and then it goes on long ass cooldown. I say this because in Aram specifically he’s broken as hell.
the only games where reviving as a mechanic was understandable is RPG's and mmorpg's. because rpg's are mostly a group effort, your gonna need your whole squad to be alive to fight with you. so naturally reviving you allies is kind of a no brainer.
The sound effects not playing bug happened to me too on my last caitlyn match yesterday.
lor really captured him well. He has 9 reference cards one of which is trimodal and at the end of the day he just bonks things and draws a couple cards. maybe gives spell shield if you're feeling spicy.

His vibe is a cross between Rashid from SFV and Disney's Aladdin. It feels like they started from a Persian-styled treasure hunter and then were like, "Wait, we need to make him actually noble in his goals, what can we have for his capital-c Cause?" And his tale of vengeance is cobbled together around that, but doesn't GO anywhere.

I think we need a shuriman warlord champ, and maybe they killed shadya but are otherwise quite a good person (by warlord standards) and so Akshan gets something to do, a connected champ and maybe some more character developement
I’m excited for Alistar. I know he has like no lore, but one story that expands on his character is all that’s needed. I would personally make him an Optimus Prime “be strong enough to be gentle” type as he helps the down trodden and oppressed
The sound effect thing........I have had that happen to me twice, where I cant hear ANYTHING that any of the 5 enemies do.....had to reconnect both times for it to work again

Yea ..... i haven't got it over yet, that event spoiled the entire champion for me.
Quick edit: i think from 2021 the only champions from the ruination i actually like are gwen and vex. And like, i can stomach gwen for a bit, but vex is just too funny to ignore, i like that gremlin a lot.

I have the sound effect bug about half of my games no matter the champion. It's really disorienting especially if it's the auto attack sound that's missing it actually makes csing way harder

I feel like kindred and the other death spirits should have a problem with Akshan's existence like dude is fucking with their whole thing.
They actually hotfix buffed akshan, and have continued to buff him, he's only gotten nerfed for attack speed but buffed crit same build. People just exaggerated he was overpowered when he really wasn't. Yes Akshan has a LOT of text, but in reality he isn't 200 years at all, he's pretty simple and not overloaded like people say cause he really only does one thing.

Akshan was actually released ridiculously weak and got one or two hotfix buffs.
Also the Invis is necassary as he is a roaming midlaner and without it he has no proper way to roam. It's like Talon without E. As well his ultimate is so awful to use. I actually hate using it cause it feels useless 90% of the time. The passive though is a bit silly and honestly could've been simplified.

I've had issues with audio just not loading in different ways for a season now. Sometimes it's my champ, other times theirs. Sometimes it's the FX or music or VO or announcer... or just nothing at all. Very random Very ticketed & very much RITO gives no Ef's.
