We felt the outpouring of love to our core…💫 It truly helped carry us during this very painful time for our family. We appreciate your patience during our break, which allowed us time to grieve our loss the best way that we know how. In today’s episode, Gia and Envy discuss the unexpected loss of her mother and their personal process of healing… If you have ever lost someone that you loved, you may relate to today’s episode and you may also find friends in coping ❤️🩹
We missed you all and it feels good to be back. So much has happened during this time. As you all may know by now, we are pregnant with baby #6. My deepest sympathy goes out to Gia and her family, Gia I know exactly what you are going through I lost my mom in October and it is the most horrific thing I have ever experienced, I hear it’s gonna get easy and I haven’t gotten to that phase yet, however Gia you have beautiful baby coming which is truly a blessing…..Congratulations to Gia and Envy 🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Sending you healing energy Gia … my mom passed away 3 years ago…. We were extremely close like you were with your mom. My son was 6 months old when my mom transitioned and having to take care of him, my other children and hubby is what helps keep me going. I totally believe your pregnancy is divine timing for you and your family. Grief is an unexplainable process far more than literature defines. Happy you are staying positive. I lost my dad a couple years ago. We had to put him in a “drawer” in Puerto Rico because my brother and I couldn’t afford a proper burial 🥺 we still have time to move him. We are saving money currently to get him out of there. The drawer is so high thy we can’t even touch it or bring him flowers. Breaks my heart. Makes me so happy that your mommy is in a beautiful place. You are so strong Gia. I know this has to be so hard for you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

It’s good to hear you be honest about your journey in pregnancy with miscarriages and in vitro.Seeing a women with 6 children you think it’s easy breezy, but when you speak on other things that happened in between your successful pregnancies you bring other women hope. Happy to see you guys back!!

Healthcare Administrator here: In regards to recording medical it’s for physician liability and their malpractice insurance. It’s up to the healthcare provider and medical records also belong to the treating healthcare provider. For example if you see Dr. A and then Dr. B. Dr. A sends your records WITH the permission of the patient to Dr.B. Now Dr. B wants to send you to a specialist. Dr.B. is not allowed to send the records of Dr.A to Dr.C WITHOUT Dr A permission. The records belong to whoever provided the care but need that providers permission to send to anyone else. The secondary owner of records is the patient. If records are released personally to the patient it IS legal for the patient to give their records to another provider.
My mom is going through the same thing. I am trying to prepare myself for what is about to come. Thank you for all of your advice. there is nothing that can prepare you for this. sorry for your loss. I know one day I am going to get that call from my sister as well. God bless you both!!!

I relate to this episode in so many ways. My mom was recently murdered and when envy said it happens unexpectedly that hit home. Death hurts regardless of the way it happens but when it happens unexpectedly the pain is hurt so much more.
And also, with my first son. We tried and tried for years but it didn’t happen. We stopped trying and boom i was pregnant.

I laugh and joke about some of the funny things Envy does or says but the way he cares for and loves his wife and kids is something I’ve never seen before. Love y’all
I watch my granny go through this EXACT same thing. I was so RELIEVED inside of the EXTREME HEAVINESS. The biggest feeling I felt and the biggest thing I said was. I'm so relieved because she was not herself and she is now at peace. No more confusion. She was such a woman of dignity and elegance and that disease presented her so different and change her life completely. I was grateful to God and she went in her sleep. Which was perfect for me... love to you Gia for sure!!!
I’m just watching this & the part where Gia is talking about her “Healing” in a way is Healing me. I just lost my Dad in November to Covid & it has been… a lot. However, hearing what she just said about thinking of him whole & healed & w/ Family who “left” before him & being happy to see them & be w/ them makes me feel Good. Wow Gia, I've been listening to the pod at work for years now and I related to your story the first time you discussed your mom’s conditition. My maternal gmom passed away from Alheizmer's. She was 84 when she passed and I'd always felt bad that she lived life that way but the way you're describing your feelings about your mom transitioning given her state of mind is a beautiful way to look at it. Knowing she is with God and could never fully express herself or be happy in her final years of life helps put things into perspective. Now I'm tearing up at work...
I'm not a parent but can only imagine how hard those feelings were for you while pregnant. I never viewed my gmom's life during that difficult time as suffering as I was just a teenager but just about everyday since she's passed I have looked at it like that and life feels empty without her presence. On top of that the thought that my mom, myself or my siblings might end up like that crushes me everyday. You always seem to find some sense of peace and you explain everything so eloquently even when you're expressing your thoughts on the fly. I appreciate you willing to share with us. Praying for health, strengh and neverending happiness for you and your family. 🧡

It’s the law of attraction. I think that’s why women don’t get pregnant when they try so hard. Same for when people try so hard to find love and then when they let it go, they serendipitously find their soulmate. Congratulations on your blessing 💕💙💕💙

So happy you guys are back. My grandmother had dementia before her passing- it was extremely hard for my mother but I believe she gained comfort in knowing she was happy and wholly (of sound mind) with God. Sending love to the whole family. 💕

Gia , you could not have expressed your feelings about your mom any better. I have lost my parents, my sister and my 19 year old son (in 2017.....worse pain of the 4). But exactly what you said about being comforted by knowing that they are at peace in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY thing that brought me through . It’s very true what Gia said I was trying for 4 months to get pregnant. Tracking my period and being intimate during my ovulation days. And I “gave up” I let go. And ended up pregnant. It must be something.
Honestly i feel her pain because i barely talk about this but my moms heart failure has been so rough on me.. watching her slowly decline and she had a stroke recently and fractured her foot in the process but yes.. that pain and suffering is hard and trying to hold it together.. but i hope God sends her so much love and good friends to help her cope through grieving.. grieving is no joke especially while pregnant so i hope God just gives her peace.. meditation helps.. but good energy is the best remedy.. Gia.. God bless your family.. in this time..
You have my condolences Gia and Envy! This conversation needs to happen in our community. I have been the designated person in my family to handle everything emotionally and financially. I’m the “strong one”. When my mom passed away almost 2 years ago, she didn’t handle her life insurance business properly. 🗣PEOPLE these conversations NEED to happen! Funerals are very expensive! Be responsible!!
I am a native NY’er but living my best life in Bermuda. I have grown kids and now in my second marriage. My husband and kids know I want to be buried in Bermuda, I’ve been climatized and don’t like the cold NY winters. All I ask from my kids, you make a yearly trip and come see me 🥰

Gia my mom had several strokes and had bad acid reflux which gradually messed up her digestive system. I made the decision to move her in home because I didn't want her in a nursing home. I took care of my mom for over 9yrs until she passed Nov 20th 2019. I had a nurse there when I went to work and my brother and my moms sister helped out. I was close to my mom also. I'm a strong person raised in the church always believing in God. So I got through it believing when God is ready for my mom it's his will and she won't have to suffer no more. I cried for a few days to release all that was inside of me and felt better because you can't hold it in. So for me God and my family got me through and they told me to start celebrating her life. I wish you nothing but the best for you and your beautiful family. When your baby is born one day you will hear your baby laughing real hard by his or herself that will be your mother making your baby laugh. RIP to your mom. 🙏 💛💙💜💚❤
