We also looked at maybe moving to merida from cancun, but when we saw the prices in merida we backed off. in cancun we rent a 2b 2b apt with huge size pools (2 in the residencial, they are like in the all inclusive hotels), gym, apt is modern and furnished (new) with 14K. Safe area, right across a mall. It's 15min drive to downtown and we don't have a car but we take combis, bus, and occasional uber to go to the beach or downtown.

Do you prefer an apartment over a house for any specific reason? Just wondering bc I’m looking too and it seems like a house would be less expensive than the apartments but I’m wondering if there’s some unseen cost I’m not considering.
I had a house last go round and just don’t want to deal with any kind of maintenance this time. That’s probably a good idea to do a video on pros and cons and why I’m insisting on an apt this time altho yes houses will run cheaper. Another point is family size. All my family was with me when I had a house, this time it’s just me and my daughter so I prefer that sense of security
