I'd suggest using up the free services and then when your free services run out, get hold of a decent mechanic whom you can trust and get the work done from him. Also, learn to do basic maintenance service such as oil change, polishing, etc by yourself. Trust me, you'd save a lot of money and your bike will thank you. Ride safe guys. Always wear a helmet. :)

even on the purchase of new bike the second week the change the part under warranty which is defective it is company manafacture fault it should be replaced new.unless it is damaged by the customer.some customer do not know what is warranty or gutantee also the manufacturer defect.
In this reason if they don't do proper service or ur not satisfied with service then u can complaint to service head of dealer still if it's not resolved after 2times of service then directly u can complaint to honda call centre then those dealers will be back of u till complaint closed....

I have tvs ntorq. Last month i have gone to service center for periodic servicing. While taking delivery of my scooter i asked them for billing in which they charged me 600 rs for oil change. I told them you have changed my scooter oil during my last servicing and scooter had run just 700km. Then they discussed something with the technician and removed oil charges from my billing
never give your last free bike service to the same company. they will do something either change your new engine to old or carburetor change. secondly if possible don't allow them to change your engine oil you yourself change it at home according to the manual description change of engine oil is very simple, watch youtube.
Very true man maximum company service centres are fooling people, I personally switched to a garage mechanic who would do the same job for much less and honestly wouldn't advice you anything wrong which gives a blow to your wallet .

It's really informative and useful for lot of vehicle users after paying their hard earned money to purchase the dream vehicle.. I would like to add 2 more important points with respect to this. 1) Be it your Car / Bike / Scooter, please make sure to deliver the vehicle on the same day of service. Also, if possible try to get in the technical bay instead of sitting in the AC waiting lounge and reading magazines 😀 Reason -------------- SALES Executives / Technicians will use your vehicle in your absence riding short trips that too rough handling if the delivery is not on the same day of service.. Post to that they will just clean it and apply some perfume and tyre gloss and hand it over to you.. Anything can happen during that time either vehicle damage or any uncertainties I've seen that doing this to one of the vehicles..even I've reported & escalated to the head office on behalf of my friend.. 2) While booking your new vehicle.. I advise you to take latest stock.. For ex..If it's Feb / 2021 then go for the same month maximum possible by Mid of Jan 2021. Bcoz these showroom people may even give test drives using the new vehicles instead of taking their Demo vehicles which is meant for the purpose.. Vehicle idling in the showroom is equal to buying a test drive vehicle 😀 I find some time seperately for all my 4 vehicles with Special care while doing service.. Note : Any investment we do in the vehicle is like investing our blood & sweat ( For those who are earning money by doing hard work ) #Mainly for vehicle lovers 👍 Thanks for this awesome video..it's highly informative for lot of vehicle users..Keep updating videos like this.. I have a similar experience. In my Honda shine, service personnel suddenly started saying, you need to change "Ball racer" on every servicing. Two consecutive times I agreed but I had a doubt in my mind. So next time I told them not to change. After one year, still my bike is running smoothly.

You're absolutely right bro, I'm using tvs ntorq since 2 years I was facing an issue regarding noise from clutch cover I've visited service center they told that clutch shoes will be replaced which cost around 3800. But when i took my ntroq to other shop ( not tvs service centre) they opened the engine and checked it, the noise was coming from engine due to some loose part. Now i'm happily using my ntroq without any problem. The service centre only earn money they don't care about customer. So i recommend that don't visit service centre you should visit any other shop whose mechanic will deeply check your vehicle 👍
One more thing. They buy drum to buy oil, and refill empty bottles daily. And they charge you for retail pricing of that oil. Actually drum comes at cheaper price

So true brother. I had Hodibaba 115 (since 2005), my brother's friend ( a mechanic) insisted to never give in service center. Instead do the basic oil change, air/oil filter cleaning at home. And honestly, I will say, only clutch plate and sprocket set was required to be changed after more than 1 lac km in 14 years. Tyres, bulbs, break/clutch wire, break pads were as normal expenses. Overall you can say no engine issue and no mental issues.

When I gave my bike for servicing, it had about 1 Lt petrol. After servicing it was totally drained and not even starting. After complaing to manager they filled a little bit..
Very true. First step to enable these all scam is to tell customer that they will have to leave their bike and collect it next day or evening. Surprisingly most of the educated customers do it without much argument which encourages such scammers to do more loot. Ideally service center should give appointment and allow the customer to supervise the work in a lobby right in the front of the work space such that it won't create any disturbance and enable transparency. But unless customers fight on this point and boycott such service centers this will never happen. Bike companies already know everything about this but they don't bother to take any action. So it's customers responsibility to fight against the wrong.

My service centre mechanic has been asking me to change front disk pad, rear brake shoe & chain-sprocket since 2 years on my Unicorn 160. I have personally inspected them, they are fine.

Activa free service is a scam. Don't fall for it. Go and buy your preferred engine oil and change it at a local mechanic every 2500 to 3000 kilometers. That's it. Edit: Don't use Honda engine oil either, I had very bad experience. I personally use Mobil engine oil instead. I am very much satisfied with Mobil engine oil.

There is a serious concern regarding the engine oil . There is a concrete proof that they don’t obey the users manual which is during servicing when they change the engine oil they don’t pour the recommended quantity of the engine oil. For instance, in yamaha FZS fi V2 they pour only 1 liter which isn’t in accordance with the user’s manual . When u replace the engine oil along with the oil filter then u should add an extra 100 ml of oil . This norm is seriously violated by the Yamaha service centers.

Bro I respect your suggestions but this is 2019, if we try to raise our voice on service center they just say get out of our service center, we don't need customers like you. So now the situation is like we should accept whatever they do and give. Your suggestions are so good and very helpful. You told to call to their customer care. Now a days no body cares about who calls. If they get a call from their headquarters, they'll jump to another brand/company. Then the loss is to the company only, so they also won't say anything l. Please don't feel bad for saying this, if the headquarters really respond then there is no need of your video also.

I have served as a service manager of a motorcycle service center for quite a few years and I concur with your assessment. But the scams you are referring to are just the tip of the iceberg, the list is actually much longer. The main problem with these service centres is that the employees are paid meagre salaries so they resort to illicit ways. Usually these service centres are like mini chor bazaar I couldn't survive so I left the job to prepare for Government services. Note: Befriend the mechanic who repairs your bike, if needed tip him a little, you will get a quality and cheap service.

Baat imaandaari ki hoti hai. Aap service centre se karwao ya street mechanic se, dono ghotala karte hain. Mere ghar ke saamne wala mechanic bhi mujhe chuna lagaya jab mai ghar shift karne wala thha. Bas gaadi chalne layak bana diya. 4-5 km chalte hi petrol khatm. Purana mobil daal diya. Kick maarte maarte toot gaya. Phir 5300 rupay kharch ho gaye achhe se thik karwane me. 30-35 ka mileage dene laga thha. Mujhe bola gaya ki carburetor change karna hoga. Lastly ek sardar ji jo ki ek engineer hai, usne kaha ki gaadi me koi problem nhi, bas roz chalaya karo. Ek baar service karte hi 45 ka mileage diya. Ab 65+ ka mileage dene laga hai pehle ki tarah. Sochiye ki gaadi kabadi wale ke paas jaane wala thha, usko bhi fully rescue kiya gaya. Unauthorized mechanic bhi gaadi ko kabada bana dete hain.
Tips 101: never sit on lounge or sitting room! Stay beside bike. Doing it almost for many years. Be friendly.. to that limit, that they will hesitate to say u go out. 😀

I faced this kind of scam in New Delhi, I visited a Honda service station to get serviced my new Activa, and a 15 year old boy who was mechanic in that service station was alloted to me, and he didn't change engine oil of my scooter I was stealthily observing him, but he lied to me that oil was changed, so everyone here should demand one thing when you visit service station for services, please ask the feedback form and write down that service must be done under the cctv serviliance, I think it will solve our problems. And let me tell you that I always ask service centres for feedback form and always writes down that service must be done under cctv serviliance so that we can observe what is being done to our vehicles. Unless the Government takes strict action by conducting raids and closing down the vehicle dealerships and service centers conducting these scams , the common citizens of India will be cheated by these dealerships with impunity , however the unfortunate reality is the Indian Government has taken donations during their election campaigns before being elected from Industrialists who manufacturer the vehicles sold in these dealerships , hence the Government will look the other way ignoring the common man and his problems.
Same happen in hero too , most important thing is customer are not educated and company take advantage of that . Be aware and stand aside while service don't feel rode to yourself it's our right to know how engine work

सही है दोस्त.. छोटी मोटी रिपेयरिंग की जगह सीधा पार्ट्स बदल देते है। User manual के हिसाब से कभी भी सर्विस नही होती है। Free सर्विस में तो खाली oil change कर के गाड़ी दे देते है। Free सर्विस खत्म होते होते पूरी गाड़ी बिगड़ जाती है। फिर मजबूर होकर 3-4 साल में नई गाड़ी बदलनी पड़ती है। गाड़ी कभी भी छोड़ कर ना जाए ऐसे सर्विस सेंटर पर।

biggest scam i encountered in my hero pleasure service,they charged me 500 rs for gearbox oil leak fix,they changed the seal and the bearing ,billed rs 480 ,thats high and the second thing they have not changed my filter only clean it with compressed air.made my mind to sell that junk hero vehicle and buy any other company.

TVS is know for its poor services and low quality part ! Bought a scooty way back and got tricked by those service center !

Also, if possible try to get in the technical bay instead of sitting in the AC waiting lounge and reading magazines 😀

SALES Executives / Technicians will use your vehicle in your absence riding short trips that too rough handling if the delivery is not on the same day of service..
Post to that they will just clean it and apply some perfume and tyre gloss and hand it over to you.. Anything can happen during that time either vehicle damage or any uncertainties
I've seen that doing this to one of the vehicles..even I've reported & escalated to the head office on behalf of my friend..
2) While booking your new vehicle..
I advise you to take latest stock..
For ex..If it's Feb / 2021 then go for the same month maximum possible by Mid of Jan 2021. Bcoz these showroom people may even give test drives using the new vehicles instead of taking their Demo vehicles which is meant for the purpose.. Vehicle idling in the showroom is equal to buying a test drive vehicle 😀
I find some time seperately for all my 4 vehicles with Special care while doing service..
Note : Any investment we do in the vehicle is like investing our blood & sweat ( For those who are earning money by doing hard work )

I have a similar experience. In my Honda shine, service personnel suddenly started saying, you need to change "Ball racer" on every servicing. Two consecutive times I agreed but I had a doubt in my mind. So next time I told them not to change. After one year, still my bike is running smoothly.

You're absolutely right bro, I'm using tvs ntorq since 2 years I was facing an issue regarding noise from clutch cover I've visited service center they told that clutch shoes will be replaced which cost around 3800. But when i took my ntroq to other shop ( not tvs service centre) they opened the engine and checked it, the noise was coming from engine due to some loose part. Now i'm happily using my ntroq without any problem. The service centre only earn money they don't care about customer. So i recommend that don't visit service centre you should visit any other shop whose mechanic will deeply check your vehicle 👍
One more thing. They buy drum to buy oil, and refill empty bottles daily. And they charge you for retail pricing of that oil. Actually drum comes at cheaper price

Service centers won't sell spare parts out of the workshop. You buy there and get them fixed there.

I had Hodibaba 115 (since 2005), my brother's friend ( a mechanic) insisted to never give in service center. Instead do the basic oil change, air/oil filter cleaning at home.
And honestly, I will say, only clutch plate and sprocket set was required to be changed after more than 1 lac km in 14 years.
Tyres, bulbs, break/clutch wire, break pads were as normal expenses.
Overall you can say no engine issue and no mental issues.

When I gave my bike for servicing, it had about 1 Lt petrol. After servicing it was totally drained and not even starting. After complaing to manager they filled a little bit..
Very true. First step to enable these all scam is to tell customer that they will have to leave their bike and collect it next day or evening. Surprisingly most of the educated customers do it without much argument which encourages such scammers to do more loot.
Ideally service center should give appointment and allow the customer to supervise the work in a lobby right in the front of the work space such that it won't create any disturbance and enable transparency.
But unless customers fight on this point and boycott such service centers this will never happen.
Bike companies already know everything about this but they don't bother to take any action. So it's customers responsibility to fight against the wrong.

My service centre mechanic has been asking me to change front disk pad, rear brake shoe & chain-sprocket since 2 years on my Unicorn 160. I have personally inspected them, they are fine.

Activa free service is a scam. Don't fall for it. Go and buy your preferred engine oil and change it at a local mechanic every 2500 to 3000 kilometers. That's it.
Edit: Don't use Honda engine oil either, I had very bad experience. I personally use Mobil engine oil instead. I am very much satisfied with Mobil engine oil.

There is a serious concern regarding the engine oil . There is a concrete proof that they don’t obey the users manual which is during servicing when they change the engine oil they don’t pour the recommended quantity of the engine oil. For instance, in yamaha FZS fi V2 they pour only 1 liter which isn’t in accordance with the user’s manual . When u replace the engine oil along with the oil filter then u should add an extra 100 ml of oil .
This norm is seriously violated by the Yamaha service centers.
The best way to get rid off this is don't go there. Avoid them

Bro I respect your suggestions but this is 2019, if we try to raise our voice on service center they just say get out of our service center, we don't need customers like you. So now the situation is like we should accept whatever they do and give. Your suggestions are so good and very helpful. You told to call to their customer care. Now a days no body cares about who calls. If they get a call from their headquarters, they'll jump to another brand/company. Then the loss is to the company only, so they also won't say anything l. Please don't feel bad for saying this, if the headquarters really respond then there is no need of your video also.

I have served as a service manager of a motorcycle service center for quite a few years and I concur with your assessment. But the scams you are referring to are just the tip of the iceberg, the list is actually much longer.
The main problem with these service centres is that the employees are paid meagre salaries so they resort to illicit ways.
Usually these service centres are like mini chor bazaar I couldn't survive so I left the job to prepare for Government services.
Note: Befriend the mechanic who repairs your bike, if needed tip him a little, you will get a quality and cheap service.

I faced this kind of scam in New Delhi, I visited a Honda service station to get serviced my new Activa, and a 15 year old boy who was mechanic in that service station was alloted to me, and he didn't change engine oil of my scooter I was stealthily observing him, but he lied to me that oil was changed, so everyone here should demand one thing when you visit service station for services, please ask the feedback form and write down that service must be done under the cctv serviliance, I think it will solve our problems. And let me tell you that I always ask service centres for feedback form and always writes down that service must be done under cctv serviliance so that we can observe what is being done to our vehicles. Unless the Government takes strict action by conducting raids and closing down the vehicle dealerships and service centers conducting these scams , the common citizens of India will be cheated by these dealerships with impunity , however the unfortunate reality is the Indian Government has taken donations during their election campaigns before being elected from Industrialists who manufacturer the vehicles sold in these dealerships , hence the Government will look the other way ignoring the common man and his problems.

सही है दोस्त.. छोटी मोटी रिपेयरिंग की जगह सीधा पार्ट्स बदल देते है। User manual के हिसाब से कभी भी सर्विस नही होती है। Free सर्विस में तो खाली oil change कर के गाड़ी दे देते है। Free सर्विस खत्म होते होते पूरी गाड़ी बिगड़ जाती है। फिर मजबूर होकर 3-4 साल में नई गाड़ी बदलनी पड़ती है। गाड़ी कभी भी छोड़ कर ना जाए ऐसे सर्विस सेंटर पर।

Chain Sprocket set is new scam they only tighten and adjust the chain. But bill the customer to tune of 2-3k.

Scams se bachane ka sabse best solution hai ki parts authorised service center se kharide aur local garage se kaam karake lele. Bandha sab kuch samne karega aur batayega bhi ki change karne ki jarurat hai ya nahi. Inshort Local garages are more reliable then service center mechanics.

biggest scam i encountered in my hero pleasure service,they charged me 500 rs for gearbox oil leak fix,they changed the seal and the bearing ,billed rs 480 ,thats high and the second thing they have not changed my filter only clean it with compressed air.made my mind to sell that junk hero vehicle and buy any other company.
