While Rogal Dorn and Constantin Valdor wait for a couple high-ranking Astartes to arrive to a top-secret meeting about the current defense of the imperial palace, Dorn tries to make some casual conversation with Valdor, but since both of them aren't accustomed to anything but war, they fail to even make smalltalk about anything other than logistics and war. Thats when Valdor speaks this phrase, that they were meant for more than just endless war. Definitely my favourite moment from the whole book.

@@mordredpendragon1235 It's not that any one individual doesn't WANT peace. The Imperium of man in 40k is incredibly authoritarian; you do or you die. If you speak out against the Imperium's motives: you are either killed, you disappear or worse; you reappear as a servitor. Not even Space Marines are safe from this ultimatum, as they were literally made for war. The Adeptus Custodes themselves have literally slaughtered an entire chapter of primaris space marines for less. Hard times breed hard men, hard men create easy times, easy times breed weak men.
@@mordredpendragon1235 Aside from WH 40K you said something quite intresting here. Like it's not human like to want a war wich is not entarelly true, in a way yes but not exactly. Why todays people love peace instead of war ? Because we are simply used to it, in medieval times humans were used to wars because smaller or biger conflicts were everywhere. War is one of the most Human thing you can think of, just because we live in times of peace doesn't change that. If we would live in times of ethernal war like in WH 40K than peace would be something unimaginable.

I love the images because all custodians are artists, musicians etc. I can see them playing music in battle cause theyre so elite (before the codex at least)

Actually, feminine named custodes go back pretty damn far.
The custodes are strong, honorable, stoic, vigilant , glorious and many other things. Aspects crucial to what the faction is. Male has never been one of them. It literally doesnt matter. While i think the retcon is unnecessary, It. Doesnt. Matter.
Except all the pieces of Canon from the first Rogue Trader book, to the 8th and 9th edition codices explicitly saying that they were all male.
@@Sweetness71775 Nop. The only piece pointing to it were talking about recruitment generally.(Recruiting from sons of, and such.) The writers been wanting to add female custodes for a long time and have been generally careful about not making it impossible in lore(not perfect but careful.) - once again I point to feminine custodes names from early on.
Sadly - for your - the higher up who knew and argued incels would get angry if they added female custodes was circumvented and the writers got to do what they actually wanted.
Don't worry, you don't have to interact with actual woman irl, that's optional.

I love this. This is the only custodes piece I've seen since Keepers. My only problem is with the pronunciation of custodes at the end. To summarize, apply the convention to astartes.

About Soundwave, I've tried it. The challenge is that Soundwave has a unique robotic voice that the AI cannot generate something like it. I tried to apply a robotic filter to the vocals, but the quality is currently poor. I'm thinking about how to do it, I also really like Soundwave.
@TheAutomaticSinger honesty it might be better to try a more normal voice cybertron had a almost dj like soundwave and bot all soundwaves have the voice as much as I love it it whoud be easier and probably easier to understand that way

It kinda bothers me that he said “custoads” instead of Custodees.
The idea is great. But this is lacking. The verses aren't round. I don't feel the power such a song should bring accross. It nice, but it is not great. AI still has to learn a lot. But thank you to the creator anyway.

For me It does not fit on the lore even how much they retcon it because their so many story and lore to the custodes and they did reveal all their face more than the spacemarine and their the sister of silent they are like the female custodes

Custodes don't use geneseed, the limitations of which are why the astartes are all male, since the custodes are made from scratch starting at the genome it makes sense that there could be female ones. Hell, since it's a possibility the emperor could have just done it out of curiosity about the results.
