Really glad to see more character interactions in demos. Even though this one had less than Alhaitham’s, it still felt really nice to see the characters actually talk with each other and have full on debates during these demos!
Edit: This has been done on previous demos a lot. I guess I just haven’t really noticed them until now, lol…
hope they keep doing more of these.
The game should only focus on that tbh, characters are the main reason ppl play this game, not talking to random meaningless npcs.

This is why I love Candace so much. She is so motherly with silent anger that you don't want to mess with. Her and Dehya are very straight forward but Dehya would spare you cos she's a softie on the inside while Candace will rip you apart. Some of you misunderstood Dehya's reaction to Candace. She wasn't scared that Candace showed up; she wanted to calm down the situation because she didn't want to see a head roll from a fellow merc. It's clear from the jump that Dehya wanted to simply incapacitate the other mercenaries (hence using fists instead of killing weapons), whereas Candace skipped all that noise and went straight for the kill. Since most Eremite mercs grow up together in a way, it made sense that Dehya didn't want that guy to die when she could've prevented that from happening. I highly doubt that someone who could casually shrug a thrown spear back to its owner would have any reason to be genuinely afraid of anybody.
She's scrared, candace is a demigod, she could just lay them down at the same time if she wanted to
@@jcx10-lc3lb from what we know so far, there is nothing to suggest that she's a descendant from any god. It's confirmed from her mouth that the story of being descended from King Dehsret is just a story that they say about all who are in guardian position. At best, she's a human that's been blessed, which is the same for every human gifted with a vision (it seems her eye may give her access to other powers as well, but that doesn't change her human status). Dehya may be one of those who believe in the descendant story and would have respect due to that, but fear would be the last thing in the heart of a merc that's literally seen every angle of the fight.

When I saw Candace my jaw dropped- Character trailers bringing other characters in too is really awesome. With what they did with Alhaitham, I hope this is becoming a pattern.
Um, they did that long before Sumeru. Xinyan had Aether, Klee had Jean, Albedo had Klee, Eula had Amber, Raiden Shogun had Yae Miko, Itto had Kujou Sara, Gorou also Aether, Ayaka had Thoma and Ayato had Sayu.

I like this. Candace is soothing and serene on the surface, but clearly she has no problems eradicating intruders. Dehya is fierce but kind of heart, and uses her fists more than her sword so that she can beat some sense into people rather than kill them. Also I'm seeing a lot of Yang Xiaolong in Dehya.

some limited characters like nilou and etc getting good because they released a good pair for them.. for standard banner, i dont think so. And there is not gonna be a new element anymore for now. Keqing getting cracked because of dendro, but dehya is.. thoma also getting buffed because of dendro since he can play burgeon. Dehya application is very slow so we wont expect her to do anything related with dendro for now

@@xylojade Some 4 star characters, like Lisa or even Collei and Kaeya have lore to them that could indicate they could qualify as a 5 star under the right conditions (though in Collei's case, that would probably be a bad thing to have happen). Candace definately falls into that catagory, being a decendent of the Scarlet King and the vague references to her golden eye being somewhat special. Honestly, considering how she got her Vision, I kind of feel Beidou deserves to be 5 star. That girl is a monster.
The attention to detail at 1:25 she used up all her Q ability and the mob is still alive and kicking. This trailer really showcases dehya's damage. Props to hoyo.

That is if you literally never reached anything beyond 30 star ever without the lucky 5050 meta pull 😂
So Meta pulls are pretty much useless really, you put more primos into it than you'd ever get from it, if you don't like the character, never get it

Truly the buff of all time
Hello Hoyoverse team, I hope that you are doing well.
It's been a week officially since Dehya launch and Hoyoverse hasn't pronounced anything yet regarding the character issues.
Issues like during her burst she gets caught with bubbles or gets frozen so you need to jump in order to release her, canceling her burst doing so.
Low multipliers compared to other 5 stars and they are divided by atk and hp so it´s gets difficult to build, not mentioning that that's one of the causes of her low dmg.
Here is a detailed observation and recommendation from a User which I agree on regarding Dehya.
Issues:
1. The Fiery Sanctum field, her main ability, and Gold-Forged Form (passive) is not available all the time.
2. She cannot reliably keep other on-field characters alive because there is a 8 second downtime on Fiery Sanctum, and a 9 second downtime for Gold-Forged Form. At this point, it would be much better to choose shielding units like Noelle, Thoma and Layla, or choose healers like Barbara and Bennett.
3. She does not apply pyro consistently.
4. Her damage is very underwhelming, especially with an elemental burst that is only used for dealing damage. Moreover, her elemental burst does not trigger Xingqiu's Rain Swords or Yelan's Depth Clarion Dice.
5. The player loses control during Leonine Bite. Even jumping, something that is essential when frozen or locked inside a bubble, cancels the remaining duration of the burst.
6. Her constellations mostly only serve to increase her underwhelming damage, and do very little to improve her gameplay.
Please consider the following improvements for Dehya:
1. Raging Flame, as well as Incineration Drive, should reset the duration of Fiery Sanctum. This can ensure consistent uptime of her main purpose: damage mitigation/transfer. Furthermore, the damage mitigation granted by Fiery Sanctum should be higher. Having the protected character take damage defeats the purpose of a bodyguard.
2. Gold-Forged Form state granted by her passive Unstinting Succor should last as long as there is an existing Fiery Sanctum. This further improves Dehya's bodyguard utility by keeping the on-field character upright and able to do damage by increasing the duration of resistance to interruption.
3. The coordinated attack from Fiery Sanctum should occur at intervals much shorter than 2.5 seconds, and should apply pyro with every attack. This improves Dehya's utility as an off-field support/DPS.
4. There should at least be a mechanic to increase Leonine Bite's damage based on the damage taken by Dehya. Or have Roaring Barrage trigger Xingqiu's Rain Swords or Yelan's Depth Clarion Dice. This would give Leonine Bite the damage fitting of such awesome animations.
5. Even better, remove the auto-attack of Leonine Bite. Give control of the character to the player. Instead, have Dehya enter a different state and grant her increased attack speed.
I have wanted to play Dehya since her reveal in the 3.0 trailer. To finally get her but not have a comfortable time playing her due to her many issues is incredibly disheartening. It pains me and many other players to see the character that we have waited for so long be so underwhelming.
I, along with many other players, hope to see much-needed improvements in Dehya's gameplay in the near future. We hope that we get to fully enjoy one of our favorite characters to the fullest of her potential.

Honestly, Dehya is so bad in game that it ends up reflecting negatively on the character herself.
Dehya's character design is a promise. You see the gauntlet and the torn clothes. The unique, snappy animations. You hear the theme music and all of it just screams power.
And when the game design fails to deliver on that promise, it becomes harder to take the character herself seriously.
Damn, they put so much effort into this amazing trailer! That must mean she's going to be a really popular character that everyone pulls for, with insane damage or support capabilities, right?

For anyone confused about why the Demo ''repeats itself''
Spoilers ahead:
The first fight shown makes it seems as if Dehya was completely ruthless, and the Eremite implies she stole from them. On the punching sequence it looks bloody and directed at the face, as if to kill. Something Dehya wouldn't do to a fellow Eremite. This may be a representation of what people that don't know her fear. As they most likely have heard of the Flame Mane feats in combat, but the other side of her doesn't get passed from people to people. This first fight is not real.
This is already explained in the Teaser video where she donated lots of her $ to the orphans, but did so ''anonymously''. She likes to do acts of kindness but without taking credit.
Then the REAL scene begins and the story changes, she is only stopping the Eremites from intruding Auru Village. This time the punches are directed at the abdomen, and she ends up saving the Eremite and even covering for them since she knows Candace as the protector of Auru Village would do ''anything'' to people that threaten the peace in the village.
So in short the Demo shows that the reputation she has built in combat makes her to be feared by people, but also shows us that not everything is at it seems in the surface. Same way her selfless acts of kindness to others without looking for recognition is not something many are aware of. Shows the bond she still has in some way with the Eremites, while still sticking true to her ideals, and putting them in their place when needed.
she kinda reminds me of Kuki in a way. women with reputations for being fierce and scary, but are just trying to look out for those they care about, while still staying true to themselves
So that means the trailer was badly conceived. It wasn't clear the intention behind the repetition of the scene at the beginning.

A reminder to have respect for yourself, respect for Dehya, and respect for others when discussing her situation. Wish if you want but understand that at the end of the day, Hoyo *did* make her trash. People have a right to complain for better, F2P or not. She deserves better and the fault lies solely on Hoyoverse for how she's turned out(I would say "will turn out" but it's all but assured now). As someone who wanted her the most since she first appeared in a teaser, my disappointment, and literally everyone else's is more than justified. So please, if you cannot be sympathetic, at least show a modicum of empathy for those who are rightfully upset that a character they've wanted for months now, even if they get her, was treated this badly and will be shelved indefinitely by the end of this upcoming patch for new characters. I love Dehya, I love claymores, I love pyro, and I was just looking forward to playing her. It just feels awful that my hopes I had since Sumeru came out are basically destroyed.

See the only thing hoyo did bad was not letting its player bade know of the future characters they are about to relase.
For eg when dendro was introduced and as we came to know about the reactions, hoyo could have just said that as the reactions to are quite new they will be releasing some characters complementing the reactions along with normal proper sumeru characters. So the player base would have at the back of their mind had some expectation towards characters like oh okay this is the niche dendro character I can either avoid or save primos rather than treating these niche characters as normal 5 stars and comparing with other 5 stars.
Clearly hoyo didn't do that and because of that dehya is taking the toll. This character has one of the best support arc in whole genshin in an archon story ever and nor beacuse of hoyoverse is facing the heat of bad review, the same thing should hv been for nilou.
Blaming Hoyo is waaaay too broad of an act. Obviously the art and writing team treats her with love. Meanwhile, it's the kit designers who fucked her over.

Dehya's state is ridiculous. I demand a patch fix asap. I don't even understand how could you screw this up so badly. Dehya needs not just a buff, but a complete rework.
The mechanics of this character are
just some kind of clown fiesta and
I'm not even talking about her
scales and stats... She's not
unpleasant, she's IMPOSSIBLE to
play. Why does her ult take E when
the only way to avoid interruption in
squads with her is this field, since
units with shields with her do not
make sense and then what little E
does makes no sense? Why can her
E cast, which grants interrupt
resistance, be interrupted by itself?
Why does her ult take her E if the
only way she can restore her energy
is with this skill? What else
character in the game can't
regenerate energy to himself with
his ultimate ability? Why does her
ult cost 70 energy when it can't be
properly charged, normal attacks in
it are not considered normal
attacks, cannot be accelerated and
work with any skill that works with normal attacks (hello Xing Qiu and
Yelan), and instead it gives damage
close to a flaming flower and lasts 4
seconds with a cd of 18? Why can
an ult be interrupted even with a
FREAKING JUMP when the game
mechanics sometimes require you
to do that, like pop a bubble or get
out of a freeze?!??! Why does her E
deal damage to the top of the
enemy hitbox, causing many
enemies with high hitboxes to not
even activate the functions of the
only squad she could play in, unable
to explode buds? Why does the
interrupt protection not last for the
whole duration of E? Why does a
five-star character whose
constellations directly indicate that
her role is a Main DPS have the lowest
damage scaling parameters IN THE
ENTIRE GAME? Normal attacks? I
won't even talk about it. They are
nonexistent. Pitiful attack speed,
worst DPS.
Why this particular 5* character
performs much worse than any
existing 4* both mechanically and
practically? Why is she so absurdly
illogical and bad in every way? Why
is she so raw?
To hell with practicality,
interactions, mechanics, scaling and
strength…. Why are there bugs even
in the idle animation of the
character?! The sound of her lines,
stretching and moaning can
continue until the end of the line
while she is just standing in a stock
pose without animations, both in
exploration mode and character
view, despite the interruption of the
animation by the start of the
movement, opening the window or
the pause menu.
Why is there a bug that she can use
her ult and stand on the water
surface? Isn't this crazy ridiculous?
Jumping totally cancels her useless,
unrechargeable expensive burst
with unjustifiably long cd, but this
doesn't? Did you gave up on her in
the middle of programming? Did

this be in the live version of the

Dehya is the character that probably deserved the most love and the most care out of every other character in the genshin community. Yet you made her the worst 5 star ever.
Here's the reality. The real problem is not Dehya herself, the real problem is that you just did this to a 5 star worth equivalent to a Raiden Nahida or Yelan. Both units cost the same like 100 or 200$ or whatever but you get almost no value out of Dehya. Her looks are not enough to make a good unit. Do you even understand this concept?
