Art Nouveau refers to a particular style. Belle Epoque is a period of time.

Merci, Paris did things with style, it wasn't content with the most practical or cheapest. Baron Haussman changed the topography.
It swept a lot of medieval Paris away. The Chateau St. Pol was instrumental in the House of Valois. Some married into the English royalty. The chateau has largely gone but parts of medieval Paris mainly religious, Notre Dame and Sainte Chappelle survive, the era of , Guillaume de Machaut etc. Also the odd passageway. The Conciergerie of course and probably parts of the Louvre and the chateau of Phillip Augustus. Henry V of England passed away at the Chateau de Vincennes.
I do love the Belle Epoque and the Impressionists too.
Great if you could do likewise on medieval Paris please.
Much obliged and merci beaucoup for all of you work and the entrances of Hector Guimard with his own typography.

One more very enjoyable presentation, yet, I was surprised that the icon of art nouveau in Paris was not even mentioned. It is, of course, the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. While my wife was shopping (for hours sometimes) I took my time to take some stunning photos of the art nouveau.
Pity, it can't show some of the absolutely stunning photos on this site.

Wish France stay competitive and influential more than just looking back to the period of " La Belle Epoque" only! Dated history will not last forever though. ☺Modernize and elegant France needs to catch up in 21 century! 😁

I'm told that Paris is behind the times as to internet connectivity. It's available but not fast, ubiquitous or reasonably priced. IF that is true it would tend to support your comment.
