The Alchemical Magnum Opus loos like a neat 'distillation' (haha, see what I did there...) of the tarot's alchemical themes and may very well end up on my wishlist too! I do enjoy dabbling in the Thoth, but have yet to explore the thread of Alchemy that runs through it, other than that five hour Lon Milo Duquette video on the subject that mostly just left me with more questions. I'll definitely keep sharing my creations as I make them, it really is so much fun experimenting, and taking a feeling, a thought or experience and turning it into an object. I have a feeling i'll want to go fun on woodsy with the next one. An oil that smells like the forest in the late spring would be incredible!
Thanks for another lovely video. I agree with you about borders -- in general, I do prefer borders over borderless. The first deck I trimmed was my 2013 copy of the Wildwood. I've put that one up on the wall in the shape of the wheel of the year and purchased a new one to use with borders. As far as tuck boxes go, Lo Scarabeo's are the best. Love that non-tucking bottom. I've been using the Golden Art Nouveau tarot by them -- surprisingly beautiful art, a bit slimmer cards, flexible riffle-friendly cardstock and a sweet orange color palette on the card backs has kept my attention for months already. That said, I know have the Surrealist Tarot on my mind!

But people like you who have reached out to someone affected--and shown your support as beautifully as you have--certainly restores the faith. And as for those decks...😍 Fountain, Pagan Otherworlds, Majestic Earth, and Hush...I have those as well and really need to work with them more. Like you, I've slowed my consumption and feel like I can really revisit and nurture what I've neglected--and I've done the same thing with reversals! I found myself reading them less and less in the past year or so simply because I kept buying new decks and wanting to get to know and appreciate their artwork right-side up! But I do love the nuance they can bring and have been gradually returning to 'em. 😊
Reversals just seem to change the whole perspective of every reading in a really dynamic way. A whole different beast when there's reversals there. I think you're on to something about wanting to see the art right side up when a deck is new. That could be a part of why we see fewer readers using reversals these days. xx

My heart breaks for Ukraine, and also for people in some other countries who can't live stable lives due to their governments not allowing basic human rights. Your perfume oil blend sounds so amazing, I can almost smell the sweet orange, bergamot, cypress, and the little flower which I forget what it was now. I imagine it's very calming and grounding, besides being nostalgic of a happy time in your life. And your homemade spread book is such a great idea.

The Alchemical Tarot is the first deck that I've felt I needed to deep dive with. As soon as I feel like I can commit the time I'm going to get the book and probably do a depth year just so i can study with that deack and learn about alchemy. It would be cool if he made the 7th edition a sweet orange with copper edges! Copper doesn't get enough love.
I think it's definitely the prettiest version of the deck so far! I've been working with it a bit now and it's a lot less intimidating than I initially thought it was going to be, so I'm really excited about that! xx

I'm loving the blue Alchemical Tarot. I was looking into that deck a while back but then my Spirit Keeper's came and I knew I wouldn't be able to dedicate the time to study Alchemical Tarot. Just days before the war broke down I have received a bag from Ukraine. Check out Woolberry bags. Their Etsy shop is now closed due to the events that are unfolding. However, I haven’t seen any messages on their website. Best quality felt bags! I had a small one for years and now I got this larger one. Made in Ukraine. I'm loving the blue Alchemical Tarot. I was looking into that deck a while back but then my Spirit Keeper's came and I knew I wouldn't be able to dedicate the time to study Alchemical Tarot. Blue is my favorite color though so if I would pick it up I think it would have to be this edition lol. Definitely a classic. Loved seeing your favorites as usual :)
