Futaleufu, Chile a beautiful little Patagonian town in the pre-Andes, easy to get there from the Argentine side at Trevelin, Chubut (a Welsh colony town). I spent a about six months in this area when I was 19 and have absolutely loved it ever since.
You should visit Jordan, its incredible went there in January, people are so hospitable and theres so much to do and see. Petra, wadi rum, dead sea, Amman. Very easy to navigate with Jett bus also
Amazing content! Found your channel yesterday and already have seen 6 videos. For your South America trip I highly recomend you to spend a lot of time in Chile. From the Atacama desert at the north, passing thru the vineyards and green valleys at the center to the incredible forest and glaciars at the south. You gonna love it! A place you MUST go is Cochamo, is a national park similar to Yosemite. Cheers!
Thanks for subscribing and watching man! Ohh yes we are 100% doing the actama desert. Potentially more have planned too much yet! Thanks for the recommendations! ☺️
I always love to see your travel videos. Glad you're home so you can get some some rest and home cooked meals! I look forward to your future travels the year!
Great video. So excited for your South American videos. I've been wanting to go to Costa Rica for the longest time but it's a bit of a tricky and somewhat expensive part of the world to get to from New Zealand. One day. Thanks for the great content in 2023. I found you when I was watching Philipinnes videos before my trip in June and subscribed straight away. The videos are well put together to show where you've been and with advice for other travellers without making it too long or personal vloggy.
Just came across your channel yesterday, instantly subscribed! You guys are so genuine & just seem so lovely! Also cutest couple ❤I'll be following along for sure. Best of luck 🍀
Even i joined your channel with Philippines video!! Loved that series, even i talk to Philippines, i definitely talk about you.. it is still in our bucket list!!
Bro. We were in Sri Lanka at the same time. My friends and I rented a tuktuk for 3 weeks. Saw it. Was epic. I'll never go back. Ha. (We both know it will never be the next Bali)
Good on you guys. I have always been a little bit doubtful of how much people make but you guys present quite an honest approach to it. Hope you keep it up. btw I am surprised you haven't hit India and Nepal. Great for budget travel plus lots to see for some good content.
I'd love to see you road trip the Midwest, USA. You might really be surprised by how kind the people are. Door County, Wisconsin; Kansas City, MO; Des Moines, IA; The National Parks; Ohio; The Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Can also highly recommend Jordan 🇯🇴 awesome friendly people, unbelievable scenery, amazing food 🥘 check out wadi ghuweir, & water canyoning siq trail wadi mujib
It’s completely different scenery eg to green Bali, but unless you have been there can’t capture on film it’s like the gran canyon especially around wadi musa beautiful, and wadi rum try go before it becomes over run with too many camps! Keep travelling guys! Glad you could catch up with your families
Loving your videos. My boyfriend and I are doing a lot of travel in SE Asia and South America starting in April and your vids on SE Asia have been super helpful. Do you have countries in South America you are planning to visit? We look forward to seeing them
Hey Joel, Can you take the train from Hatton to Nuwaria Elia as I will be doing Adams Peak in Hatton. They advised me In The station to go back to Candy and catch the train
Careful backpacking around Latin America. As you mentioned, it's not safe at all like backpacking around Asia. You'll be a target everywhere, just be mindful of that and try to travel in groups as people are much more desperate there. It literally has the highest violent crime rates per capita on earth. They are completely unfazed about murdering you if they have to. Happens to tourists everyday from Colombia to Argentina to Brazil to Venezuela to Mexico.
Ive seen Philippines and even know a girl that lives in there. She sent me so many beautiful places and I will go there thanks to You guys and her. Already seen some content from Iceland and want to ask you how is it to travel from such warm place like SriLanka to so cold Iceland!
Let me tell you it’s been so cold here in Iceland it feels like -17 Celsius with the wind! But a great adventure we can’t wait to share! Thanks for watching!
Joel and Amelia lets put somethings into context Sri Lanka is just coming out of a financial crisis bankrupt and 110% inflation now down to 10% to keep the government running they had to borrow from the IMF which require the govt to devalue the currency 1 pound sterling = 425 rupees good for you bad for locals the reason that 3rd class was full the govt makes travel affordable for the locals allowing you travel in 2nd class at a great price I have been to the Uk number of times a three hour train journey would cost about 40 quid or more. The locals are hurting but they put on a smile and happy face as life goes on I live in the US and born in SL with Irish Malay heritage I hope you look at a country through the lens of its history and past Happy travels
Of course we know and understand about the situation in Sri Lanka, we do our best to always help out the locals! I hope by sharing these videos others are inspired to visit the country!
South America is not dangerous. Have you been to Croydon? Haha. I’ve travelled solo there, zero issues, like everywhere else, just be street smart. Enjoy 😊
Appreciate you having the balls to adventure travel and sharing the journey with us! Looking forward to your travels in 2024!
Thanks for watching! So much more to come this year! Bigger and better than ever!

Aww thank you so much! Love this comment! :) Costa Rica is probably as far away from NZ as possible ahah. Lots of South America videos coming soon!
Costa Rica, Monteverde, and la Fortuna, fantastic places. We did east to west coast. Barely touched the country but these were my favourite places.
Ahh awesome man! Costa Rica is a dream of ours! I'll write these down! Thank you :)

Hey Joel,
Can you take the train from Hatton to Nuwaria Elia as I will be doing Adams Peak in Hatton. They advised me In The station to go back to Candy and catch the train
Yes, you can get on at Hatton and stop it Nuwaria Eliyuh, no need to go back to Kandy, a waste of time!

2:11 Amelia, What's your favorite episode?
Come to South Africa 🇿🇦
It’s on the bucket list! Emilia has been before and is eager to return!
Did you need any premission to fly your drone in Sri lanka? If so, how did you get it?

What was ur total budget for 5 months please
South America is not dangerous. Have you been to Croydon? Haha. I’ve travelled solo there, zero issues, like everywhere else, just be street smart. Enjoy 😊
ahaha, so many people have said the same, I think it's more the unknown for us as we are so used to Asia!
💟💟🌷🌷💞🇱🇰👌
Can I ask what budget you are setting for South America? I am heading there in a few months after SE Asia :)
Is the gear you use still the same as your last video
