92 was as close and as fiercely contested as 93 with nothing in it. 10 minutes into the second half of the 92 decider queensland were actually on top even though scores were 4-4. Then Laurie grubbered from the half way and set up the try to ET which swung momentum. In 1993 Blues played amazingly well in game 1. Got lucky in first half of game 2. Then were hammered in game 3. 1994 there was a clear advantage to NSW in the forwards after QLD lost Lindner and Bella. But for me 91/92/93 was the peak 3 years for close origin football.
As I said yes NSW were the superior side was in 92 and 94, but they were lucky to win 93 and I didn't think that they deserve to win the seires that year they barely got away with game 1 and they were gifted game 2 by Eddie wards bad decisions on the first half of game 2 especially the amount of tries he turned down on QLD but at least game 3 said it all about the seires and showed who were the better team that year I believe and by the scoreline in that game.
In game 3 I think the twin sin binnings in the first half galvanised queensland to performing well in the second half. That and Kevin Walters came on the field to replace O'Neill at 6. :) For me game 1 was the series. If Hancock doesn't give away the silly penalty game could have been a draw.
Stuart/ Daley were so far above Langer/Walters as a combination. Kevvie left the Raiders as soon as Ricky joined, he knew he wouldnt get a run in first grade at either 6 or 7 ( his original position )

He certainly didn’t leave to play with his twin brother and be closer to home. Also 4 premierships to 1 says langer and walters was the better pairing. Both great pairing of 4 exceptional talents but langer and walters are the ones with the runs on the board.
@@troystaunton254 Stuart Daley won 3 premierships and came a close second in another over a 6 year spell, against Walters and Langer, and I’ll always argue that the 1993 winners was a raiders certainty till Ricky broke his leg round 21 , they towelled the Broncos round 19 when both full strength and a NSW side full of raiders won S.O.O 3-0
