I guess to rephrase my question, I don't think eldritch/abstract was the 100% correct term, but it felt like a completely different style than PMD. This is especially true in Isle of Light with the chaotic and chopped sound effects and even breathing samples. As for the artworks, most of them are in black and white and I assume that's done on purpose to promote the general theme/atmosphere of the setting.
the art being in black in white is done for 2 reasons 1. to be symbolic of the characters not being able to experience all that the world has to offer, making the colored end credits image impactful for both the viewer and the characters 2. as an homage to a pmd comic that inspired the artstyle somewhat
Will there be any more PMD rom hacks in the future? Like a rom hack starring Kubfu? Or one with a team of Meowscarada and Delphox? Or a sequel to Sands of Time? And will Halycon get an update?
