I love how friendly the actual animatronic version of him looks. Even more friendly looking than the toy animatronics from the main franchise. Really differentiates between the nightmare version of him
A small detail I just noticed but absolutely love is how the nightmare version of Foxy has much smaller eyes compared to everyone else, showing both the knowledge of Foxy being used as a cruel mask against the viewer, but also showing that the viewer KNOWS who's behind that mask to a point, yet unable to see much more than just the eyes out of fear
Readimg this I just notice how Foxy's mask when it first showns its covered on blood, cuz the brother was the nearest to crying child when the bite happend
Another detail about the eyes: in the beginning where the first animatronic was singing, they had round pupils, typically meaning they weren’t predators, but after it started switching to the other animatronics, the eyes became slits, like a predator cat. This also goes for Bonnie, but I just really like the change from human-like to apex predator.
I like how the foxy mask is depicted as bloody and worn out because it was worn by Michael when crying child got chomped. Maybe it symbolizes crying child’s resentment toward his brother and the mask he wore.
I’d say that it’s covered in blood because, in the mind of a child, a plushie having its face torn would be like tearing the flesh off of an actual fox, and it is heavily implied that the mask used by Mike is the missing head of foxy
At first I thought Nightmare Foxy’s second set of teeth were a reference to how the animatronics had visible white teeth but also the inner endoskeleton teeth. But after reading some comments, I realized that it also references the fact that the Crying Child’s fear of Foxy is mostly fear of the Foxy mask. The inner teeth as well as the smaller eyes set further back his head both reference that there is a human hiding behind the mask. Also, the reason all the Nightmares are so smooth is that the masks were probably made out of smooth plastic.
Small correction: this is not from CC's perspective as many in the comments keep saying, it's *Micheals*. He's having the nightmare, we see him wake up at the end. The second row of teeth and sunken in eyes are because he knows who's behind the mask, he knows there's a human in there. It's him. He's that monster that killed his brother.
@@Justapikachu577 What if this is CC/David's nightmare, seen through Michael's eyes? (Except for the end part with Michael seeing CC/David) This could be the case with the ShatterVictim theory being true, where all things associated with Freddy's are haunted by CC/David and his memories?
The Nightmare Chica is genuinely the most disturbing of the designs, it's uncomfortably smooth and kinda plays into the fear of massive open mouths ready to swallow you into darkness.
Also her rapid head movement looked like that of an actual chicken. It's like a terrifying play on what is organic, mixed with the mechanics of an animatronic
I love the subtle differences between Nightmare and his Real Animatronic counterpart. It makes the child’s nightmares seem more realistic, instead of being complete different but horrifying versions of the actual animatronics, they are just slightly different yet still terrifying which makes it all the more perfect
I gotta say, the way that Nightmare does not seem at all in control his own anatomy/unstable (eyes seemingly growing and shrinking at will, etc) and him not being bound by the dimensions of the room (seemingly too tall for the closet) just made my fucking SKIN crawl and I applaud you for that He really feels like some impossible creature a kid would dream up
Dude. It makes me think that the presence of Nightmare in Michael's dreams completely warps everything because seeing Fredbear in any form causes all of the trauma to flood in at once.
During the scene where he is sitting in front of a brain 1:40 , some black liqud comes out of his mouth and falls onto the brain, almost like he is drooling onto the brain
@@rabadoo yeah! It's as if it's showcasing that he's hungry for the brain. The black goop may also represent the large amounts of blood that came from Evan's head.
These Nightmare designs are like what the OG animatronics would look like if a very small child tried to recreate them from memory, which is honestly perfect.
@@angelo_studios5477Yeah, but i think it depends on your interpretation of fnaf 4. The metallic nightmares are better for michael as the main character, these are better for CC as the mc.
One thing I noticed is how much jaws and mouths are emphasized. Like how multiple times characters have their jaw lower to an impossible reach. Or how much mouths are put on display. Its that extra attention to detail that makes this so much more creative.❤️
Also love the extra set of teeth on some characters to semi explain the endo mouths (Bonnie and foxy) don’t really know how a bunny and fox mouths look but I know they don’t look like that
@@themoocow7718it really is the should make something like this for an event we’re the get the people from the movie who made the animatronics for that to do it and use like Funtime Freddy toy Freddy or something like that
These design choices are... Really interesting... They actually seem to have gone in the other direction to the actual nightmare animatronics, which are very clearly mechanical and despite being horrifying, are very clearly not organic. The original nightmares feel like something dreamed up with the understanding that animatronics are robots, while a child wouldn't understand that as much, instead seeing it as a organic creature. I really like these designs.
I think the most disturbing part about The Hidden Nightmares is that unlike FNaF 4 where the animatronics are still robotic, here they are a lot more... natural. Still extremely unnatural, yes, but they've got the feeling of actual monsters a little kid would imagine. I think at the age the Crying Child was at, it'd be difficult to imagine the animatronics as robots. And also taking into account that a child's mind exaggerates scary things to make them seem scarier, this makes more sense than having 9-foot-tall robots waiting for you to open the door. It's absolutely fucking terrifying.
I agree, this is more in line with what I'd really imagine a kid sees in their nightmares too. The official designs of the Nightmare animatronics are cool and all, but this is what real nightmares are made of; flesh and bone. Utterly disturbing and I love it.
It is possible that the reason he was so scared of them to begin with is because, given that his father was behind engineering them, he saw them under construction or behind the scenes at certain points and thus wasn’t able to imagine them as real talking animals the way most kids would at that age.
Their flesh fused with the suit Their flesh fused with the suit Their flesh fused with the suit Their flesh fused with the suit Their flesh fused with the suit Their flesh fused with the suit Their flesh fused with the suit Their flesh fused with the suit Their flesh fused with the suit Their flesh fused with the suit Their flesh fused with the suit Their flesh fused with the suit
One thing I especially love about this is how actually friendly and sweet Nightmare looks before he turns into... that. Like, that's what the animatronics were supposed to be, before everything went haywire. It adds onto the tragedy even more in my opinion.
1:48 Nightmare doesn't fit in the closet, and he still gets bigger, part of the scary is that we can't dismiss it as "good animation", it's wrong and your brain can't stop thinking about it
0:57 The way Bonnie's eyes dilate and his gums unhinge a bit right before it cuts away is such an underrated detail. Just adds so much to portray how these creatures are just mindless animalistic predators. It's even more disturbing and unnatural cuz it's a RABBIT behaving like a wolf or cat. Absolutely love this animation!
I like the designs compared to the originals for that reason. To a child, these animatronics are viewed as actual animals, hence why they design them more to look like fun, cuddly animals and make them more realistic. So the kid that got his head bitten wouldn’t view in his dream monsters made out of gears and withering, he would view them as organic, living monster animals out to eat him.
And it makes it even more interesting when you consider that since bunnies and rabbits are widely deemed "prey" food and their eyes are normally placed on the side of their heads which is a characteristic for a lot of prey animals, Bonnie's eyes are placed in the front and center, something more commonly seen and associated with predators.
I love how real Fredbear's design strikes a perfect balance between being legitimately cute and presentable to kids AND having one of its most distinct features be his teeth. It adds even more context to the crying child's fear of mouths. The organic nightmares are also a great way to show how -- from the eyes of a child -- the animatronics can be seen as real creatures and not robots. (On top of the designs being 10x scarier)
The way nightmare Chica rapidly deforms into a huge swallowing mouth as the space becomes darker and more contrasted to focus on her before cutting a way genuinely looks like how a nightmare actually goes sometimes. They just don't make sense as your mind loses control and twists consistent, recognisable forms into something all too different.
I confirm, there's a little house in the backyard of my house, like a room, that zone is a place of nightmares for me,i don't know why,but in my dreams i have to avoid that place at all cost, one day,in a dream,i was walking in the house,it was night, probably drinking water or exiting the bathroom, look at the backyard and i noticed someone let the door open,my vision focus on some dark creature running at me,can't remember what happen after that, but there's always something over there in my dreams.. (Sorry if something is writed wrong,i don't speak English)
One of the many things I love about this is that every time the player is about to die, it cuts away, just like dreams. There's a certain fear to seeing what is undoubtedly going to be the death of the player, but having it cut away to a new threat before you can even process what you just saw.
Definitely one of the more unique takes I've seen of the nightmare animatronics, it reminds me of little nightmares and how everyone looked liked things wearing oversized masks. Chica was definitely hands down the creepiest one, the empty void inside her was so horrifying. You did an amazing job capturing these
It’s definitely Bonnie and chica that hit me. Bonnie’s frame approaching then suddenly apear ring in front of the screen. Chica sensing and finnally finding us, only to let out a curdling scream. These designs are actually horrid.
It's crazy to think "organic" looking designs have only ever seemingly been done with the twisted ones. Applying that logic and messing around with it on the nightmares works wonders. fantastic job!
I love the bit after the "theres no waking up". The walls and general surroundings warping really gives the vibe of both a bad dream and possibly the feeling of going unconscious (though i wouldnt know for sure). Really cool stuff throughout.
they're not as robotic or artificial as the actual Nightmares. they have genuine teeth, and flesh. their mouths lack tongues yet have inner cheeks, it's exactly how a child would see them, big, colorful, eyeless monsters that tower over them, teeth sharp and bared, and most frighteningly of all, even in the actual games. they're Breathing can bea heard, right outside your door....
@@Fizzie_Fiendidk man kids are afraid of monsters with sharp teeth, and if the kiddo found them scary due to their mechanical nature then it’s missing the robotic part, though I agree these designs are more unsettling and something that you and I would probably see in nightmare
@@Fizzie_Fiend And all of that puts on that they don't have a throat... They are living and breathing monsters, with sharp teeths, a tongue, but no throat, which really makes them have a more Nightmare-ish look, since kids in nightmares, doesn't think about how anatomy works, but rather how much they fear the things that appear in the nightmare, and how their mind makes them really fear from them...
Nightmares are not always like they are in the video, it will depend a lot on the age or how the characters are portrayed, nightmares can have everything
This is such a cool way to interpret FNAF 4's story. The animatronics being these fleshy masses of animalistic horror, and the entire vibe perfectly captures the surreal aura around dreams and nightmares. I also notice that this video sorta follows the FNAF 4 is Michael's dream instead of Evan since we see him at the end waking up. His brother's death was so traumatic to him that even as an undead corpse, he's still haunted by his guilt.
@@jorgemoreno2097 actually no,because in the encyclopedia book it says that CC was the protagonist of fnaf 4, even though i believe that michael has had these nightmares too.
The whole sequence with Nightmare at 1:34 has to be the best part. The way he twitches and moves so violently and silently is uncanny to a whole other level, and the way his jaw seems to unhinge itself when in the closet is probably one of the best ways you could exemplify Nightmare's unreal abilities. Truly a demon of the mind, bravo
It feels like it is what Evan would have seen with a missing frontal lobe, and it's terrifying. Like his brain is rotting, and THAT'S the only thing that's left...
@@nicolasburgosarrojo6699 Hearing his brother's voice, so calm, so reassuring, as if he isn't the one who bedrid CC in the first place, it must've awakened a fire within the child, which you're able to see in FNaF 1 as Golden Freddy torments his brother for killing him all those years ago.
This is probably one of the most unnerving, fever dream like, nightmarish animations that i have set eyes upon. Its also absoloutly amazing! the designs are awesome, and creepy, like i would imagine the nightmare animatronics to look. Keep up the good work!
1:40 The most disturbing detail is that in the dark Nightmare sees himself eating a brain, posing the serious bite he gave to Evan with a brain and you can still see blood coming out of his mouth.
This has got to be one of my favorite takes on the FNAF animatronics. The uncanny organic look is absolutely genius and ignites a different kind of fear I can't quite describe. I hope you'll continue to explore this concept, I'd love to see more
Personally, it's on the verge of being perfect. I think a blend of the nightmare's clusterfuck-yness combined with an organic look could look really cool, but these just look kind of empty to me?
Somehow, this animation managed to not only be genuinely unsettling, but also somehow actually captured the feeling of having a real nightmare. It’s terrifying yet beautiful, immaculate work bro.
Those nightmare models are genuinely creepy, they give creepy vibes that no other FNaF model has ever given me. Edit: Viewers, don’t reply if you don’t respect my opinions or think I haven’t seen almost anything the VHS community has to offer.
This is what should have been the actual Nightmare animatronics. As kids, we believed that mascots were actually alive and not just a costume. So taking that to the extreme, they should have organs and flesh. A kid seeing a mascots head is like seeing a decapitated man. This is perfect!
I don't think our little crying fella thought they were alive, he was son of William Afton after all, Its possible his dad took him to backstage few times before going insane
The original horror of the animatronics was based off how uncanny Scott's 3D models were. But for me, those animatronic designs have been around so often that they became oddly normal again. Re-establishing the uncanny valley with an organic influence on the robot designs was a genius next step!
I've watched countless hours of fnaf playthroughs, and countless more of horror video games. This is the only video that can actually invoke a genuine sense of fear in me, no matter how many times i rewatch it! Incredible job, grotesque models. I love it
i think one of the biggest details that make these models so awful (in a good way) is the fact that the pupils dilate. Nightmare’s shrink down at the very start when he opens his eyes, Bonnie’s constrict when he sees the player; one could argue that Chica’s dilate when they notice you. it’s such a minute detail that helps so so much
I am genuinely stunned by this. I can’t get over how genuinely awful the models are, I mean that in the most flattering way possible. They are just way too organic and make me incredibly uncomfortable. There was excellent lighting and overall nightmarish visuals that really brought everything together. I loved the melting room effects with nightmare, very very cool stuff. This is the type of stuff I wanna see in a Fnaf four remake, if you ever can team up with people who know game development or if you know game development yourself, you could cook up something truly remarkable. The kind of new and refreshing thing the fan game community needs. Overall though, fantastic work you are very talented.
@@CrisNich-hj3gd in case it isnt obvious, I mean that in the most flattering way possible. I do not hate the models in a negative way. They just make me super uncomfortable.
@@insmashbaby4347 i said "but yeah," and "ive never seen awful *used this way.* " im literally agreeing with you. i feel like it should be more obvious that i understand what you mean
I really appreciate how you didn't over-design the animatronics like a lot of scary fan models do. You strike that same corde that Scott does; cute under certain lighting and circumstances, scary under others, while still giving them a little bit of pizazz. Lovely work.
What is this song video so scary can you tell me why name what’s your name anyways? Because I can tell this is a masterpiece you can’t tell him I don’t hurry.
I'm so obsessed with this Animation. I've been watching it almost repeatedly since it came across my feed. I love every little detail, the organic nightmares, the song choice, the visuals and metaphors. I'm OBSESSED
Genuine contender for best media to come out of fnaf. The fleshy realistic take on the nightmares being the fear of actual large animals is amazing, including removing the eyebrows, and little details like Bonnie flashing his teeth like a chimp would or Chica having large pupils is just on par with what I would assume your vision was, also the animation is brilliant, just all in all really well done.
Chica is definitely the most disturbing. Unlike the lighter almost cutesy design we see in a lot of fnaf games, Chica almost looks like a brute, she looks like she could easily overpower you. And the smooth skin-like texture of her body adds so much to that aesthetic.
Most of the animatronics look quite organic, with all of them even seeming to have muscles, and well built ones too. Guess the crew's been hitting the gym.
I think this would have been a legitimately more interesting way to portray the Nightmare animatronics than the robots we see in game. The idea that Evan sees the robots as real living monsters and thus sees them as such in his dreams is genius!
The eyes stare like, the lights aren’t on, and yet they still See. Whatever twisted form of life that allows them to continue to blink died a long time ago and lost any semblance of humanity.
The most insane thing to me is how this is built like an actual nightmare, and not like a cartoonish kind of nightmare but a legitimate nightmare where so much happens at once and it's all confusing but dreadful, nothing bad directly happens to you from your POV but you're still in great danger and can feel it. And not a lot of media can replicate that feeling at all without exaggerating or being over the top! So this is really impressive.
One thing i love about nightmare here is that he just seems..wrong. The fact he seems to just zip between positions, undergo positions that would literally be impossible for something of his size and gain or lose random pieces of anatomy at will just screams "abomination", even when compared to the other nightmares. And the complete lack of focus on his stomach mouth makes it oddly more horrific, since you're baducally forced to question it once youve aftually noticed it's there.
Jesus Christ, IM ABSOLUTELY STUNNED. This is without a doubt the most unnerving fnaf animation I’ve ever seen. The models are absolutely SUPERB, especially Chica, she is god damn TERRIFYING. You’ve absolutely out done yourself with this one Smamuel, incredible work!! ⭐️
And the way chica momentarily paused before doing that horrid distortion of her face is nightmare inducing, this and Fnaf jr are probably the best looking modern interpretation of the game
Dude, I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is the most crepped out I've ever been by anything FNaF related. Making the nightmares fleshy and more life-like makes that so much more unsettling than the razor-sharp, bloody versions we know.
The point of the nightmare animatronics were to make mike stay away from the animatronic thus the heavy animatronic inclusion if it were organic mike would be scared of real bears than the animattonics
Local child: the second i saw bonnie, i had the strongest involuntary reaction I've ever had, i think that was the point to scare and you succeded of my god
I love the designs of these guys. They are absolutely horrific but in a natural way, akin to a nightmare or a prey vs predator situation, I also love how it starts out and you think Evan/CC is the one suffering from the nightmare but it is actually CC haunting Michael and cursing him with nightmares.
This is probably the best video to represent what a nightmare feels like. Moments and events just bleed into one another with one unifying theme, "reality" feeling very wrong/abstract and it has a distinct feeling that you cant stop looking at whats in front of you no matter how hard you try, SPECIALLY everything after 1:35. The animation, composition and direction made it feel legitimately like one terrible dream Amazing concept realised with incredible talent. Great job
The worst part is that if it's not a lucid nightmare, you don't even think that this doesn't make sense, you just think you're in the actual reality, but, to be honest, a lucid nightmare is worse...
These make a lot more sense in a child's point of view when it comes to nightmares. A child wouldn't see an animatronic as an animatronic, especially when they're surrounded by employees and posters telling them that the said animatronics are alive and real. In fact, the realness they're convinced is there can end up being the root cause of the fear the child has in the first place.
The pure fear that is and was Nightmare, is reflected so well in this. Not many people that I know of feared or favored Nightmare a whole lot, and this just shows how terrifying, even a reskin of a already terrifying creature now more can be, due to the added sound effect like the jumpscare, how fast he is compared to the rest, and even the bone chilling voice delivered in ultimate custom night. Nightmare is truly underrated.
Good lord, these designs are genius. They're just organic versions of the nightmares, yet they are just as, if not, even more terrifying. I would love a fangame with these guys in it.
I think how foxy's top lip curls up as if growling is a great detail to him because it makes and even greater connection to the fact that they act and look more like an organic animal, everything else is 10/10 excellent job
For those wondering what the gibberish at around 2:50 was, it’s from the song “Hidden In The Sand”, it’s a reversed message saying “Wouldn’t the world be better off if we took nonsense more seriously?” Which fits well with this, since it’s about nightmares which seem nonsensical, but as a child can have a very real impact.
also fits with the point that the crying child died because of a prank, if micheal was more serious and didnt do the prank, crying child would've never died
I just watched the video and I have to say, it's definitely not for the faint of heart! The video is short but very horrific, but that is also very well-made and really delivers on the scares. The production quality is impressive and the special effects are top-notch, making the horror elements come to life on screen. The tension builds throughout the video and the music adds to the overall sense of dread. The video is well-crafted and the pacing is just right, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the very end. If you're a fan of horror films and looking for a good scare, then this video is definitely worth watching. However, if you're easily frightened, then you may want to skip this one!
The horror in this animation isn’t a one and done jumpscare, it sticks with you. Being trapped, your prison decaying around you, the creatures closing in on you. You deserve much more attention.
the rest of the video is pretty spooky but sweet lord 1:35 this entire sequence is legitimately terrifying, I haven’t been scared of fnaf tapes since they first became a thing but the way Nightmare moves and glitches out is beyond uncanny valley the sounds are even creepier incredible job
I dont get scared by appearanced alone easily, but this one video out of the thousands I watched was enough to keep my attention for a really long time
My fucking left arm is fucking trembling nlg its scary and strange at the same time but its just the mouth graphics that gets my body to tremble like a chihuahua
I think my favorite part of this is how when they open their mouths, it's organic inside. It doesn't look as if they have throats either, which I also think kinda adds to it in a good way. Absolutely fantastic work, man.
I love how the main detail of this isnt just about the beautiful organic animatronic designs, but it does show Micheal Afton getting trauma from the bite of 83 and how he cared for his brother knowing he will never forgive him.
I love the twist of it being Michael's nightmare instead of his brother's, makes me imagine what if FNaF 4 was all from Michael's perspective instead, making it so we never switch characters in the main series until UCN or the custom nights.
@@rowanjones5562I think fort Smith is Michael Afton but Jeremy Fitzgerald is Jeremy which is funny because there's a Jeremy game tester who played the video game so he played as Jeremy and Jeremy faced off Jeremy the missing children's incident
As a huge fan of Horror and FNAF, I can 100% say that this is the most uncanny and terrifying thing I have seen in years and I love everything about it. Absolutely amazing work, good job!
I was never really scared of the FNAF 4 animatronics. These are just different. Not completely horrifying; Just extremely unsettling and uncanny. It starts out so genuine and wholesome too. After about 20 seconds the happy video just cracks and everything gets so much more creepy and corrupt. Extremely well done animation! They should hire you if they ever made a remake of FNAF 4.
OKAY SMAMUEL, YOU MADE IT. This is such a superior version to horrible original Nightmare designs and added visuals ARE JUTS HORRIFYING AND I LOVE IT. So many amazing tricks and visual effects that are just WONDERFUL. I love it, I adore it, I need it to be official
Bro. The part where bonnie starts walking to the door invoked a sense of fear that I have never felt before. Just the absolute size and build of that rabbit slowly marching his way to the door is just super unnerving, and if I was to see something like that in my own house, I would just curl up and start crying. You did an absolutely amazing job at turning the nightmares into something from my nightmares.
for me it was the understanding of its sheer size that really freaked me out, like from the get-go you could tell bonnie was massive, and also the first one revealed so it was the first time seeing how much they looked like organic beings and not cartoonishly torn and sharp animatronics, also for me the eyes when it was back in the hallway just did something to me that made me viscerally uncomfortable
i love that the humming becomes louder and less distorted once the animatronics are shown. it’s like taking you out of a safe space and putting you in the actual setting and danger of it
The animatronic movements at the beginning are incredibly good. You managed to capture the mechanical-feeling shifts in weight, then balance them with the fact that there are humans who programmed/animated the machine. Every motion is a great acting choice, like having him put his hands over his "heart" on "fell in love with it," AND you also capture the way the weight of the limbs requires them to settle a little, almost bouncing back, after the motors are done moving them (very non-human). It was also a great directorial choice, since it starts you out with something safe and familiar, giving a huge contrast to how unreal and horrifying the rest of the video gets. Amazing work
i will forever treasure the godly transition at 0:47, having the audio distort and become unbearably loud as if the animatronic itself is about to grab the borders of the video and force it open so that it can get through is amazing not to mention the godly animation, i love michael being so wracked by guilt and the detail of the foxy creature being interrupted in its attack to show a mangled, decapitated plush hanging in two different pieces together. michael hates himself and what he did with the foxy character to his brother so much that even in his self-loathing induced nightmare, he can't bring himself to attack HIMSELF with it. he hates it as much as he hates himself, which is why it doesn't get to attack him like the others
I honestly love these designs way more than the canon og ones. The og nightmares were a little too over-the-top imo. It felt more like "let's make them as grimy and spiked as possible just for the edge", rather than actually considering what a child could imagine when looking at big scary mascots. These, however...these are just disturbingly uncanny. Unnaturally smooth & organic looking, yet still maintaining the characteristics of their robotic counterparts.
@@Entrenched_Human Same thing as the og nightmare animatronics The sheer amount of sharp teeth just completely removes any serious fear factor for me Again, it comes off as “lets make it as spiky as possible just because spiky = spooky”
@@Nartss Thats why the "novel" versions were always so much better, because you are left to think about everything yourself, and also because of the descriptions of the blank carcasses (without the illusion disks)
Coming from a Twitter thread where people were ripping each other apart over if the models were scarier than the official ones. All I have to say is that this is phenomenal and the quality and production is through the roof. The Nightmares have some of my most favorite designs in the series, but seeing them all fleshy like this really makes my skin crawl and heightened my love for them. Honestly amazing. Keep this up because your talent will only rise and content like this is kind of rare in the fandom!
I love everything about this animation. The Nightmare animatronics designs, the song choice, the story the animation is telling without saying a word. The whole time you are wondering what’s going on then right at the end it’s revealed that they were Micheal’s nightmares the whole time and that he feels extremely guilty and remorseful for the death of his brother even all the way till pizza sim. Truly a masterpiece that I’ve watched more times than I can count
Everything about this video is perfect. From The absolutely HORRIFIC designs of the the nightmares to the way it weaves in aspects of the lore. Michael being tormented by nightmares of his younger brother and the animatronics is so good it makes me wish it was a part of the actual story
It gives the impression his intellect is so advanced compared to you that he can recognize and find you and your light source in a millisecond. It makes him scarier that he's so much smarter than you and knows EXACTLY what makes you tick despite moving and acting so animalistic.
There is something weirdly hypnotic about the first half of the video that just makes me come back and watch. It's the perfect blend of calming, comforting music and horror that blends in a way that makes you feel uneasy
@@TygerHillisit's the music. It has natural harmony that makes it catchy and hard not to sing along to, but with the part you described, I believe it blends that harmony with some minor key dissonance, making it sound good... but in an eerie way
I think this design would've been more than perfect for the actual game itself. The focus on the nightmares was to make them look so scary that it did the opposite instead. I think the gum structure, teeth and eyes along with the clay like shell of the animatronics helped re-create that uncanny valley at a perfect degree that was even better than the original games. It created something that was almost human but something wasn't right, something was off and that's what the first game did with it slowly straying away as time went on. I think it's also a really good animation in general as well too.
1:46 that panning and slow distortion is surreal to me, reminds me of a dream turned nightmare when I was relaxing by a window in a dream, the sky was so bright and sunny, until it slowly became dim and suddenly blood red, once I realized and attempted to step back, it was too late, a young girl/lady slowly walks in front of the window, staring initially before screaming loudly, as I hear the sound I get during sleep paralysis which is static and sometimes a roaring noise, waking up instantly after. This part gives me the most chills
I had a similar one where I woke up from another nightmare but felt a pressure around my knees, looking over in the dark to see my cat...who was dead at the time...And turning on my lamp revealed she was well and healthy. I say her name in question and she suddenly lunged at my face, teeth razor sharp and biting into my hand that I lifted to protect myself. And then I woke up, for real this time.
@@KJTSCarboy what hit me hardest was that it was still recent at the time, so it felt like something that could happen. And the weirdest part was a plushie I had set up on the bottom shelf of my nightstand had fallen to the ground before my cat hopped onto my bed in my dream, but when I woke up, the plushie was still on the ground, the pose and spot the exact same as in my dream. It was creepy, but felt like my cat was trying to let me know that she's always gonna be there for me.
i had a dream where i was as school, it escalated and a student jumped off a building in the distance, since this was a dream i tried to run to see, but i couldn’t move so all i could do was watch, then another jumped, another and another, then i could vividly see the corpses. I woke up in cold sweat when i woke up
The Detail in those models- from the Dilation in Bonnie's eyes, to Chica having more Avian-like Movements, and even Freddy who appeared to be Blind thus unaffected by the Flashlight. Seriously well done!
1:10 I can already feel what a disgusting sound these little Freddies must make when calling out to their big brother. This is exactly the sound that creatures from nightmares make before you wake up from fear.
Holy hell, YES! This was amazing, was not expecting the Nightmares to look like THAT, they look so damn good. That Chica scene was my absolute favorite, the way she looks over to the camera and just stares for a bit was really well done. I love how the models eyes dilate, and show there gums, makes them seem more organic then mechanical. Phenomenal animation, can't wait to see more!
These designs are genuinely amazing and horrifying, maybe it’s how simple the designs are so you notice the parts that stand out more or just how grossly organic they are, either way this video is beautifully animated and I have to say you did an amazing job
This is the first fnaf animation I’ve genuinely felt a sense of fear watching. The way you’ve done the models is absolutely gorgeous in the most grotesque way possible. Hope to see these models used more, if you ever decide to!
I now desperately need this to turn into some kind of fangame or fnaf 4 remake, these designs and animations are far too good to just be a single animation! This is like, phenomenal and probably one of the best fnaf fan animations I’ve seen yet.
i think a lot of what makes these designs so horrifying is the excellent use of uncanny valley. making them organic, putting attributes of human eyes and teeth on something that is NOT human, and stretching jaws far past the limit. it looks human, but everything else tells you it absolutely isn't. kudos!
This just goes to show that you don’t need static over the whole video to make it a “oh so scary” all you need is good sound and good models. And that’s what this video has, keep it up man👍
This is actually phenomenal. I’ve always thought the Nightmare Animatronics were creepy, but not necessarily scary. This elevates the idea of “Nightmare” to a whole new level with these designs
disregarding the creepiness of the nightmares, the nightmare animatronic itself is really good looking, genuinely looks more like something for kids than any of the official animatronics
According to the FNAF 4 lore, the whole point of the nightmare animatronics, as the name implies, is to be scary. William Afton wanted to scare his son of his own animatronics so he would stay away, not being killed.
@@Hickory_Dickory_Cock they are real, it was proven either in SL custom night or the FNAF 6, there was a layout of the house and few locations of other FNAF games with dots in the spots of the animatronics, nightmare ones included
This was the first fnaf video in years that I’ve found genuinely unnerving. Like I gasped the first time I saw that shot of Bonnie in the hallway. The design is incredible on its own, but making them so large really sells it. Also the music choice is spot on.
This is just amazing. The model design is so organic and putrid, and it gives me a different type of scare that all the official games haven’t. I also love how you based the animation scenes on the actual game, and added some fan-game animatronics too! Masterfully designed, well done!

It's a combination of being "softer" (no hard edges) the good lighting, and the realistic body language.
Also foxy is the only one with two mouthes showing that it is in fact a mask
@@loudsilencer8130 bonnie has it too

I like how the foxy mask is depicted as bloody and worn out because it was worn by Michael when crying child got chomped. Maybe it symbolizes crying child’s resentment toward his brother and the mask he wore.
Michael is the one dreaming this
In that case, would it represent the guilt of his actions; the blood on his hands, or rather mask?
I’d say that it’s covered in blood because, in the mind of a child, a plushie having its face torn would be like tearing the flesh off of an actual fox, and it is heavily implied that the mask used by Mike is the missing head of foxy
@@pinkzep8500I don’t think a person would be able to fit the decapitated head of a plush of that size on their head.
@@Hamburger8079 if you spread out the sowing pattern of the head into a flat face, it’d be a good mask.
Good detective work
Small correction: this is not from CC's perspective as many in the comments keep saying, it's *Micheals*. He's having the nightmare, we see him wake up at the end. The second row of teeth and sunken in eyes are because he knows who's behind the mask, he knows there's a human in there. It's him. He's that monster that killed his brother.

I love the subtle differences between Nightmare and his Real Animatronic counterpart. It makes the child’s nightmares seem more realistic, instead of being complete different but horrifying versions of the actual animatronics, they are just slightly different yet still terrifying which makes it all the more perfect

Hum, I actually really dig that insite. Nice catch
Really makes you feel like the child. Man I love psychology and how terrifying it is.
I agree, this is more in line with what I'd really imagine a kid sees in their nightmares too.
The official designs of the Nightmare animatronics are cool and all, but this is what real nightmares are made of; flesh and bone.
Utterly disturbing and I love it.
I’d love to see the animatronics act like real animals and hunt like them
And also that children probably see the animatronics as less robotic as adults tend to
It is possible that the reason he was so scared of them to begin with is because, given that his father was behind engineering them, he saw them under construction or behind the scenes at certain points and thus wasn’t able to imagine them as real talking animals the way most kids would at that age.
Making the animatronics look organic is a genius idea. It makes them appear extremely uncanny and unsettling! Great work

I love the eye change on Bonnie 😅😰
That was the scariest part for me
Michael was scarier than anything in this video
I love how real Fredbear's design strikes a perfect balance between being legitimately cute and presentable to kids AND having one of its most distinct features be his teeth. It adds even more context to the crying child's fear of mouths.
The organic nightmares are also a great way to show how -- from the eyes of a child -- the animatronics can be seen as real creatures and not robots. (On top of the designs being 10x scarier)

The animation, composition and direction made it feel legitimately like one terrible dream
Amazing concept realised with incredible talent. Great job
The worst part is that if it's not a lucid nightmare, you don't even think that this doesn't make sense, you just think you're in the actual reality, but, to be honest, a lucid nightmare is worse...
This was the scariest part 1:41

@@Reu-Bollyeah but 1:36 was so scary
I love the organic look the nightmares have. Really pushes the narrative that they're not actually real and are instead just projections
yeah if someone told me that they would be organic i wouldnt have thought it would be scary but after seeing this im having nightmares lol
Is so SO unnerving how strangely organic they look and "feel" if you get what I'm saying
It Will depends of what the kid see, sometimes is a real monster, other times is a robot monster
The kids father made the robots, so he'd probably know that's what they are. Might even explain why he's scared of them.
Good point!
Honestly, just reskin FNAF 4 to have these guys instead, instantly make the scariest FNAF game there is
I think how foxy's top lip curls up as if growling is a great detail to him because it makes and even greater connection to the fact that they act and look more like an organic animal, everything else is 10/10 excellent job
ok bro
Its so peak
For those wondering what the gibberish at around 2:50 was, it’s from the song “Hidden In The Sand”, it’s a reversed message saying “Wouldn’t the world be better off if we took nonsense more seriously?” Which fits well with this, since it’s about nightmares which seem nonsensical, but as a child can have a very real impact.
Yeah.
i mean granted the entire song is hidden in the sand
(its from tally hall)
also fits with the point that the crying child died because of a prank, if micheal was more serious and didnt do the prank, crying child would've never died

I love the twist of it being Michael's nightmare instead of his brother's, makes me imagine what if FNaF 4 was all from Michael's perspective instead, making it so we never switch characters in the main series until UCN or the custom nights.
that would explain the foxy max at the part with all the plushies

I was never really scared of the FNAF 4 animatronics. These are just different. Not completely horrifying; Just extremely unsettling and uncanny. It starts out so genuine and wholesome too. After about 20 seconds the happy video just cracks and everything gets so much more creepy and corrupt. Extremely well done animation! They should hire you if they ever made a remake of FNAF 4.
F***ing goosebumps, I've never seen anything so scary like this. This is what fever nightmares look like

What don’t you like about the nightmares?
Bro same Bonnie's walk damn terrified me in this
for me it was the understanding of its sheer size that really freaked me out, like from the get-go you could tell bonnie was massive, and also the first one revealed so it was the first time seeing how much they looked like organic beings and not cartoonishly torn and sharp animatronics, also for me the eyes when it was back in the hallway just did something to me that made me viscerally uncomfortable
@@sleepyrosebud9504 i agree. it's eyes were super unnerving, but i don't know why.
@@ThatWeirdGuy1001probably because it looks less robotic and more organic
@@AnthonyFritz-lw9bssame lol💀
i love that the humming becomes louder and less distorted once the animatronics are shown. it’s like taking you out of a safe space and putting you in the actual setting and danger of it
The animatronic movements at the beginning are incredibly good. Amazing work
It’s a subtle detail, but I like that he tries to maintain eye contact. Something about it doesn’t feel right in a 4th wall sense, y’know?
i will forever treasure the godly transition at 0:47, having the audio distort and become unbearably loud as if the animatronic itself is about to grab the borders of the video and force it open so that it can get through is amazing
not to mention the godly animation, i love michael being so wracked by guilt and the detail of the foxy creature being interrupted in its attack to show a mangled, decapitated plush hanging in two different pieces together. michael hates himself and what he did with the foxy character to his brother so much that even in his self-loathing induced nightmare, he can't bring himself to attack HIMSELF with it. he hates it as much as he hates himself, which is why it doesn't get to attack him like the others
It didn’t get louder it just got really distorted. I understand how you feel that way tho
I thought that was a foxy costume for a baby dang
@@SimplyTooCoolSame lol-
It was a pretty cool scene, to be honest. 😮
What do you think about the Twisted Ones?
@@Entrenched_Human Same thing as the og nightmare animatronics
The sheer amount of sharp teeth just completely removes any serious fear factor for me
Again, it comes off as “lets make it as spiky as possible just because spiky = spooky”
@@Nartss Thats why the "novel" versions were always so much better, because you are left to think about everything yourself, and also because of the descriptions of the blank carcasses (without the illusion disks)
Yeah. Scott recieved feedback that fnaf3 wasnt scary so he made extra spooky fnaf4
Of course it's "OvEr ThE tOp" it is in the mind of a child
Coming from a Twitter thread where people were ripping each other apart over if the models were scarier than the official ones.
All I have to say is that this is phenomenal and the quality and production is through the roof. The Nightmares have some of my most favorite designs in the series, but seeing them all fleshy like this really makes my skin crawl and heightened my love for them. Honestly amazing. Keep this up because your talent will only rise and content like this is kind of rare in the fandom!
These Nightmare Animatronics kinda reminds me of the Monster Animatronics from FNAC 3
1:34 the way the flashlight is turned on and immediately you see nightmare's head turn to youre direction is just freaky beyond words

EEEUUGGH I JUST SEEN THAT I HATE IT😰
It gives the impression his intellect is so advanced compared to you that he can recognize and find you and your light source in a millisecond.
I love how it distorts when he says “YOOOOOOOOUUUUU”
There's something so ominous about Bonnie walking with the vocals in the background
@@TygerHillisit's the music. It has natural harmony that makes it catchy and hard not to sing along to, but with the part you described, I believe it blends that harmony with some minor key dissonance, making it sound good... but in an eerie way
Honestly, this is something that I would actually see in my deepest, darkest nightmares. Fnaf doesn't usually scare me, but this video is a nightmare.
