Sorta blows away the SHF IW Thor IMO with 2 alternate heads, a wired cape, effects for Stormbreaker & the body & an alternate upper body & arms....all for a price LESS than the SHF Exclusive that only has 1 head, Stormbreaker accessory & pretty much nothing else. Mafex appears actually slightly shorter than the SHF IW Thor which is pretty surprising for a Mafex issue. Gotta give it up for Mafex with this excellent issue & looking forward now for the Mafex IW Cap. & Endgame issues. High quality & detail review as always so thank you.
agreed so much. mafex kinda kick shf ass reeaaallll bad this round. but the height does make me feel dull and deal breaker😩

This figure turned out FANTASTIC! It's so much better than the SHF version. The head sculpts on this actually look better than the promo photos.

Great review ! Cant wait to get my thor 😅 I was worried that Mafex figures wouldnt scale well with Figuarts ( like Mezco ) but it seems they fit perfectly together.
I hope Mafex will reveal some pictures of their Iron man mark 85 soon !

Mafex has come a long way stepping up their game with these figures. I've come to find myself investing more into mafex models than I am with SHF. They just need to up their game with iron man armors.

I got mine today; a day early! I like the 2 separate torsos, but wish I could just change the arms. Also, I think your friend's wire broke! It seems like it's in the shoulders at least on mine...

Still a bit small when standing side by side with ML (same height as Stan Lee 15:10)... but I guess in action poses he'll still look ok in size

Ive seen pictures that the manipple head fits on this figure too, Im wondering how it fits, if you have to change the neck with the one from manipple too or just the manniple head fits the mafex neck, also in your review it seems like it is pretty much the same height as the SHF one is that true or is it slightly different height.
PS which one do you recomend more the SHF (with the manipple head) or this one?

At long last a review. The wait is finally over. ❤(at least for you. XD) I'm completely sold, I'm keeping the pre-order and absolutely can't wait for it. Glad I went with this one over the SH Figurearts one. Seriously though, the height doesn't look bad at all. Looks perfectly fine to me.

Exactly. I just need him to be a slight bit taller or around Cap and Tony SH Figurearts and that's a win for me. He doesn't have to have a couple more centimeters. As long as he doesn't look shorter than them! 😂

Iforgot to say that does the mafex storbreaker and arm lightning efex work with the sh figuarts thor
Didn’t try that but I doubt so since the SHF stormbreaker is slightly smaller than Mafex

looks like it came out really good. Weird that they decided to give the 2 seperate torsos instead of just interchangable arms since i'd like to see how the sleeveless with cape look would look. Great review and thanks for sharing.
The extra torso is for Thor without the cape which is why they have to give another torso for it.
If you want to see the sleeveless arms with cape, I think you can exchange the arms but try at your own risk.. lols..

I would say it is worth the wait. I didn’t really expect him to be that tall cuz I always felt Hasbro makes their Thor figures too tall to be a Chris Hemsworth but at least I think this Mafex Thor is actually a good height for a Chris Hemsworth. As long as he at least stands close to the same height as Captain America, my worthy Captain America, I’m good with it

I saw some coments about the joint issues on mafex figures... i don't have one and this one could be my first one, but what about that?
Yes, some Mafex do have joints issue but this seems okay for now
With this and the IW Cap, I hope Mafex makes an Iron Man Mk.50. I know there's 3 Figuarts of it but I'm sure there's people that want a Mk. 50 will film accurate nano weapons without having to turn to third parties. Plus wouldn't make since for Mafex to do the MCU Trinity without Iron Man (IW version)

Mafex IW Thor just a better option than SHF. SHF IW Thor was exclusive store as well so you need spend extra money for no reason at all.

Some pictures show that he's a little shorter than shf, but others don't. Also, some say shf storm breaker is bigger. He still looks like Channing Tatum, lol. I will say the lighting eyes head sculpt is better. Also, do those buttons pop out that easily? Kinda worried I'll lose one

Yes the buttons on the belt pop off easily.
I'm fine with the fact that he's smaller. He now looks better alongside SHF Thanos, who is also kinda small.

man this is so great and I can't wait for the MAFEX endgame fat thor. although I love my SH Figuarts fat thor.

The eyes are accurate because remember Rocket gave him bionic eye.
But the bionic eye that rocket gave is brown the one that is seen on the figure is more green than brown.

They didnt have to give us another torso, the only thing they had to do is what they did with batman, give us an extra chest part with no cape and extra arms
