Connecting with a Huge Beaver Though the Ice, Winter Beaver Trapping In New Hampshire

- Unfortunately the microphones/phones don't always work in freezing temps!
The beginning of this video is cut off, but today Jake, Riley and Joey are trapping a hut that directly abuts hundreds of acres of farmland. They work with the local farmer to try and control the beaver and raccoon populations to avoid conflict as the year goes on, and avoid crop loss for the farmer.
The hut is clearly active as the top has melted ice (and Joey says so). While setting traps, they punched a few holes in different areas and targeted spots with adequate depth of water. Yesterday they set up four traps, three with Aspen (a type of tree and one of beaver's favorite treats) and one with a potato.
The temps are cold today but that won't stop them from checking traps! Join us as we check each set, connect with a beaver, then bring it back to the fur shed to weigh it!

That was awesome
I love your videos❤❤❤❤❤
Nice catch! I just got back from my first check through the ice ever and got one on a snare pole. I tried both ways and was not successful with the 330’s, might have to try the potato instead of the aspen stick next time lol. Also notice that there was a lot less chipping to do with the snare pole than the conibear sets.
What boots you rockin?
Is there really enough beavers left to be trapping them?
