I have owned this coil since it came out it has never been removed its deep sensitive and better in heavy iron plus its easy to swing!!!! lighter as well if u like your machine with the stock coil you to will see the difference glad i grabed one
Love my legend i just pulled a very rare Tiffany s jewelry Lid it only says sterling on it so right away I know it was older further more home work said s it was mad between 1890 to 1910 it weigh 18.7 grams and I was looking for deep target s at a recovery speed of 2 it was probably 2 feet down and I got a Indian cent 14 inches also for the money you can’t go wrong
The Lg30 is a beast. it handles many objects at once very well and goes deep....by the way it is not Nokta Makro anymore it is just Nokta Legend... they changed their name recently
Thanks for another great video. As far as the pinpoint area on the LG30 coil, is the "center" of it under the attachment screw or the Nokta label or in between the two? I'm still trying to figure mine out so I can speed up my process some and dig as small a plug as necessary. Thanks in advance for any insight!
I recently got an Etrac but am struggling to form a connection with it. Thinking selling it and getting an nox 800 or a Legend. I’m not sure if you’ve used the Etrac, but which would you recommend??
Not sure if you consider equinox 700 high end or not I own it and a legend. The legend has way more bells and whistles than it does for sure. I hunt dirt exclusively it's awesome in the dirt just as good as my equinox. Love the bottle cap reject and the iron filter adjustable 0 to 9. 4 tone iron adjustment in all tone breaks live that feature.
I just installed the update. I'm going to California next week, but the rain has been relentless on the west coast. Hopefully, I'll get a day or two without rain.
I've noticed that while you can match some of the settings from mode to mode, it doesn't always guarantee the same results. Each mode is still using it's own unique programming and I believe beach wet is also using it's own combination of multiple frequencies. Field mode sometimes sounds less responsive because the audio gain is not normalized for all targets.......meaning deeper or smaller targets are quieter so you know they're deeper or smaller. I try to run through every stock mode on a few targets at every site just to see which works better in those conditions. Sometimes I used modes that I shouldn't be using........like beach wet on land or field mode in the water lol. It's weird.
Thanks and yes it will vary from program to program and your ground conditions for sure. Making sure you noise cancel and ground will ensure you get the optimal performance out of your machine.
I think that after using the Legend for over a year, that its perhaps the best performer after the upgrade to the LG30 and LG24 coils. (I always use beach wet program on inland and beach hunts) I think the Legend is more stable in the wet sand compared to the Minelab Equinox 900, but that mostly because off the Legends advanced iron filter and stability options, but in the salt water the Minelab Equinox 900 in program beach 2 is more stable than the Legends beach Multi Wet. Both the Legend and Nox900 is a bit potent machines and often needs to be calmed down on the sensitivity when searching on the beach. When searching on woodland or plowed fields the Legend with the LG30 coil is far better than the Nox900 with its standard 11" coil, but if Minelab can offer an eliptical coil for the equinox 900 I think that the equinox 900 could do a better job....
My advice, for what it's worth. Leave it as 1.09. Three of my mates went to 1.11 and tried that version for a good few long field hunts (in UK), the three of them have gone back to 1.09. The three of them are old-school seasoned detectorists. The four of us rate 1.09, so we'll leave it there. But each to their own. 1.11 may suit US park and kerb strip hunters. Over here, kerb strip and park hunting is illegal. edit: BTW, we all work the machine in Beach W in stubble with this coil with almost no clipping (falsing). Legend is a bloody good tool, without doubt. At the price, it is the best out there for general disciplines, in my op.
easy detector to use but with old fbs or new multi but think khz is the same like mine lab etrac bit more to set up but not many machines go from 0.5 99 khz bit more heaver then the leagion
Your hat haha I found two mercury dimes and an Indian head penny at the skull Creek boathouse out back where it drops off to the marsh/water edge ! I've got a few secrets about that area give me a shout if you're interested hahh

Great video review. I enjoy your videos.
I just purchased my legend a month ago.
Thank you for all the great info.
Thanks for watching!
Got sick of my 800 and just ordered one, excited to take it for a spin. Thanks!
Hope you enjoy it!
I have the upgrade kit with the LG30 coil and I really like it. I think it is a great addition to the kit.
Totally agree!
Very interesting. Thanks for the video 😊
My pleasure!
Good to know - great video 😀
Glad it was helpful!

Congrats, its a nice machine for money.
this video is Nokta NOMAD approved :) nice video bud
Thanks!

Thanks for name update. Much appreciated
@@MentalMetallg28 or lg30 less noise, stability???
They are both very stable IMO.
You just might run beach all the time...I will check it out 🌊

With most coils I just drag the coil back till the pp hum disappears and that's where the target is.

Both are very good machines but I would go with Legend version 1.11 to avoid some of the water concerns with the 800 or go with the Nox 900 now.

Have you tried it on the beach after installing the 1.3 update?
I have not. I only get to the beach a couple times a year at best.
I just installed the update. I'm going to California next week, but the rain has been relentless on the west coast. Hopefully, I'll get a day or two without rain.
Thanks for vid and information.
No problem!
Good show. Subbed. ATB from Cornish Tim.
Welcome! and thank you!

Great points and good insight. Thank you.
Is it $300 better than the 28 . I seriously doubt it .
What are your tone breaks in 4 tone?
lg28 or lg30 less noise, stability???
30 is pretty quiet.
Mine is a beast...still on 1.09
Some people like 1.09 but I really liked what they did with 1.11
