Hacksaw has become one of the best out there for telling the old stories and insights that we want to hear. I'm sure he's got a million of em from over the years and I can't wait to hear them all.
Evidence suggest IQs were way higher, people were way more intelligent and had deep personalities. Hence people were way more entertaining. Now it's the mobile phone and internet age, people have dumbed down with less interactions with each other.
As a kid i loved the British bulldogs especially davy boy.but as a 46 year old man now ,i realise he was nothing more then a juice head who loved to smoke crack with jim neidhart and play ribs on everyone. His biggest match of his life he showed up hung over from a crack binge and he gassed out 10 mins in and brett had to carry him the whole match.i think jake had every right to say what he said .truth hurts, lies dont
There was an interview Hannibal did with Harry about this incident & he confirmed what happened & also added that he didn't want to cause further harm to Jake because of his "merchandise sales",
Jake did a shoot with Piper where he talked about how he hated Davey and Dynamite. He put something in their dog's food and caused it to crap all over their hotel room. Not a classy move.
Compared to the stuff Davey and Dynamite used to do to other wrestlers AND innocent fans/bystanders, that was child’s play. They used to drop Halcyon in girls’ drinks at the bar, take advantage of them at the hotel, then shave their head and eyebrows and throw them out in the hall naked. They were AWFUL.
@pandavelli8176 They were both complete POS, Dynamite worse than Davey but that doesn't excuse punishing a dog to get to them. Especially as it will be some maid on minimum wage cleaning up the mess.
After Harry threw hot coffee on Jake he didn't stick around, he got out of there cause he was terrified a 65 year old Jake Roberts was going to get his hands on him. Davey was a jerk, Jake's not the only one who talks about it, Harry threw coffee on him cause he was old n can't defend himself like he once could
That sounds about right for Harry. Great wrestler. But yeah he will get pissed over the dumbest stuff. We were all at a Denny's one night we had about 20 of us and this table of girls were checking out Harry. My friend Chad said "Hey are checking out my boy here?" And Harry got pissed and the trainer at the place that had Harry come in had to defuse it and basically me and Chad left to make it smooth out. He was offended by a guy calling out some girls. That showed how insecure he was. This was before his WWE run. Like I said, Great Wrestler. But yeah, i see where Hacksaw is coming from.
Hacksaw is so right. Harry Smith was wrong he could have hurt Jake who was late 60’s. I wonder if Harry would have done that to huku if he said something about his dad I doubt it. Stupid Harry does it in front of fans. Really gives pro wrestlers a good image!
Harry should have handled it a lot better, but Jake should have known that was coming considering. Harry should have addressed it in private, man to man instead of throwing hot coffee in his face. This really hammers down the point of if you don't have something nice to say about someone, don't run your mouht, especially about the dead. You just might piss off the wrong person and end up writing a check you can't cash. Davey might have been a POS that Jake and Hacksaw despise, but that was Harry's dad. In the end, both sides failed.
Maybe his pops wasn't worh a damn, but that was still HIS dad. Jr. took up for his dad and I can't hold it against him all day for that. Regardless of what he was to us that was 'dad' to him. Gotta respect the loyalty.
If you want to confront another man about something he said or did, that's one thing. Just do it like a man. Walking up and throwing hot coffee on an older guy isn't the manly way to do it. It's the cowardly way.
@@reallymakesyouthinkLike I said, that should and could have been handled more directly...man to man. But still in all, that boy stood up for his dad in public. I'm not going to one hundred jump on him or condemn him.
I defend Harry Smith's action. Jake Roberts just can't seem to let go of old wounds and Harry talked about it more in-depth with Hannibal and said he had a long talk with Jake, Rowdy Piper. Harry mentioned about both Rowdy and Jake being high on some sort of drug, Rowdy cried and apologized and wouldn't mention his father again. Same goes with Jake as he told Harry that I apologize for bad mouthing your dad etc., and not mention his name ever again. Harry brought up a good point in the interview saying if you wanted to bad mouth my dad why didn't you say anything when he was alive, why bad mouth him when he has passed on. I also think their is a huge issue during Jake's time in Stampede Wrestling pertaining Stu Hart putting the belt on him or drop the belt to someone else and Jake must have faked an injury and that pissed Bret Hart since Jake lied to him and now Jake is just bad mouthing Bret Hart for no reason. In Cornette's youtube channel Jim Cornette has said that you couldn't trust Jake because he wasn't reliable. He claimed he put a belt on him and it's last that long.
@@jonathandrewstefancin5924 Well if you watch Harry's interview with Hannibal he waited for the police to come but nobody came to question him or arrest him.
