Here's a tip for terraria: Each weapon belongs to a specific class & benefits from accessories & armors of that class The classes are as follows: Melee Ranger Mage Summoner (my favourite!)
The class I usually roll with is a summoner and melee combination... sometimes I have a bunch of summons, a "sentry" summon, and a weak melee weapon, other times I have 2 summons, a "sentry", and a hard hitting melee weapon
Fun Fact: If you equip a full set of armor (Like only cacths armor or only gold armor) you get powerful set bonuses. Weapons also deal specific class damage. Different armors and accessories soecialize in increasing a specific class's damage output. The four classes include: Rnager, Meles, Mage and Summoner. Anything that deals damage will display their class type when you hover over it (Ex: Copper shortsword deals 7 *Melee* damage)
As someone who has played Terraria almost as long as I'ved played Minecraft, be mean to the spoilers, one of the best things about this game over Minecraft is the adventure aspect and difficulty curve, the genuine first time discoveries are exactly what brought me to your videos
That was a really clean fight for your first boss, well done! And yeah, this game has a LOT of Block types... but like minecraft, they each can lend so much personality to different Builds. (One of my personal favorites is making a mud hut underneath a giant custom built Tree to house my Dryad)

There's so many things I can't wait for you to see ❤ Terraria has a very special place in my heart as a comfort game, and it's so cool to see someone go in blind like I did. Non-spoiler tip that's especially handy for large worlds: Some biomes can be recreated by using enough of their specific blocks, provided it doesn't have something like a depth restriction or some special rule (ex. The dungeon, ocean, general cavern layer enemies on surface). This can allow you to create mini biome patches wherever you like, and that area will start spawning that biome's mobs. I personally find fishing relaxing, so in my favorite world, I built little biodome bubbles over my base so that I could do fishing quests from some far-away biomes without spending half my time traveling. If I remember right, a new biome patch starts to be recognized by the game at 50 or so blocks. Keep an eye out for any unusual seeds you find, like the ones the Eye dropped for you
