As an umpire of high school baseball for 30 yrs, one thing fans & players & coaches don't understand is a pitch doesn't have to enter & exit the strike zone a strike, it just has to graze the strike zone at some point in its flight to the catcher....
The ABS system being used in the minor leagues is already making some of the minor league umpires look like amateur hacks. I’ll just bet MLB umpires fear it coming to their league and showing just how bad they are.
Pitcher and catcher need to have a sign, like the middle finger… catcher drops his glove, pitcher rides a 100 mph fastball in the face of the ump… OOPS !
A lot of people understandably at times get upset with the referees in any sport but at the same time people take it too far. Being a referee in any sport is difficult especially at the highest level when the call you make is guaranteed to upset one team and their fans even if the call is 1000% correct.
why isn't MLB putting a stop to all this.....give the plate ump a heads up feed from the CF camera for the love of God. If they can't get the calls right with that technology, then they shouldn't be umpires.
They wouldn’t want to deprive hot heads like you the opportunity to crap on umpires, the game wouldn’t have the same ratings. Most of these calls are right just guys taking there anger out to make you think it’s the ump but your guy just sucked.
Aaron Judge hasn't been ejected since 2016. Just like Derek Jeter when he first join in 1995 I believe. But it irritates me when umpire ejected Aaron Judge
MLB needs to fix many problems. The ghost runner on 2nd during extra innings should never had been a thing. The umpires need disciplined for blatant awful calls, and there superfast ejections. They are going to turn into the NFL and NBA of sports if they keep that crap up. And BTW the NBA and NFL suck.

I agree but at the same time it depends on what’s being said and how long it goes on far. Ejecting someone for saying the call was awful is just wrong and stupid. Ejecting someone for hurling abuse at the umpire over a call is completely understandable in my opinion.
Police needs to escort these luzers off the field, hand cuffs if necessary. Ppl don’t put with this in dark alleys or door steps. That’s why they won’t mic up the foul mouths of players, the felony is called Aggravated nuisance.

Also the umpires should also be eligible for suspension and discipline for awful strike zones and for tossing stars like Harper when he wasn’t even yelling it was a conversation… when will these dummies learn no one is here to watch the ump. They there to watch the stars play ball. Some of the egos on guys like cupla and Diaz and Bucknor are cancer to baseball
