Israeli Patriot Yes, I agree they are a major threat at the moment - especially if they continue to grow. Although, one absolutely cannot ignore possible Russian aggression in the future based on current escalating tensions. I'm a US citizen, but I do believe that a good amount of the foreign policy decisions we've made in Syria, etc. have been horrendous. We do NOT have the upper hand, morally. It's a precarious position.

What kind of question is “how has the national debt affected you?” That’s not how the national debt works. It doesn’t affect anyone directly but if it grows to a unsustainable amount then creditors will stop lending to the US government which would cause an immediate recession and likely very many problems afterwards. That’s why it’s important.

@G Galilei She didn't let him answer. He was starting to explain how it affects everyone broadly and she cut him off like "No I mean you personally!" She insisted on an answer to her question which made no sense and refused to allow him to explain why it didn't make sense.
It's an excellent question, actually. The point being made was that the "ordinary" people (the voters) are affected way more than the rich ones (the candidates).
1980 debate: American humor, polite conversation, facts and logic.
2020 debate: insults against deceased son who’s a vet, rumors about mental health, drug addicts who were unfortunate, and a lack of facts.

Obama´s comeback aged really badly, and it is funny that it is still being included in these videos. It was a funny and witty comeback in 2012 and only for people who had no issue about security or geopolitics.

I didn't particularly care for Romney, but I felt that President Obama's comments were inaccurate and short-sighted. Russia has posed a serious geopolitical threat since the early 2000's, following Putin's rise to and consolidation of power beginning with his leadership in the Federal Security Service (and even before, depending on who you ask). Even with the Soviet Union dead, the Russian Federation served as a political center of gravity in opposition to the European Union and NATO powers. They controlled (and in some respects, still do control) the politics of many neighboring governments. The Russian Federation is the largest country in the world, with a highly educated population, a tremendous bounty of natural resources; and a formidable, well-trained Army, Navy, and Air Force. They also have a substantial nuclear arsenal that is at least a decade more advanced than our own. Their military strength and capabilities are comparable to our own. They are most certainly a threat. Anyone who thinks differently has not been paying attention for the last 25 years.
