- WARNING: There is a very necessary order of operations for disassembling the CRKT Ritual. TAKE OFF THE BLUE PART ON THE SHOW SIDE FIRST WITH THE BLADE OPEN. Watch the video to find out how I found this out. #NotABrilliantMan
I needed a good laugh tonight. Nothing like making fun of other peoples difficulties. Thanks Nick.
If I ever need to take this beast apart (which I doubt), I will be infinitely in your debt for having shown me how not to do it 😊 I love your self deprecating humor, Nick! God what a fantastic community this is turning out to be ❤️
I needed that laugh--thanks, Nick. As someone who is into watches-DO NOT GET INTO WATCHES!-it reminded me of how many freakin' spring bars I've lost when changing straps.
Love your vid brother.a realist.i ordered one and if it needs work, your vid told me what i needed to know.Thx much !
Been there, done that, but so fun to watch someone else suffer the "screw-search syndrome" for a change, Ha Ha! I've learned that some screws can bounce like the old superball we had as kids. If at first you can't find it, it's always good to walk away for a while, or sleep on it if need be, but I always found the little bugger sooner or later! One very helpful thing I'd like to see change about the knife industry is a parts dept for all major manufacturers. A few are very customer service oriented, but others are unavailable to say the least.
Knife yeets it scale halfway across the room
Nick causally: Okay let's do a failure analysis real quick XD
A true professional
Pretty much a classic Nick disassembly vid. everything that happened here has happened to me as well. I feel your pain Nick
Ive got several knives from Columbia River Knife n Tool.
They are excellent knives.
The design from top to bottom of the Ritual is brilliant.
You cant knock a knife quality by reason of your accidents due to your lack of caution when disassembling.
Ive got the Ritual, and was cautious in disassembly and had no trouble with the assist spring, and that was before seeing this video.
Im 70 years old,and have been working with knives since I was 7,and my first knife was the Kamp King boyscout knife.
Hey Nick love the video. Sitting here in the valley of California waiting for my local knife store Kelly's cutlery to open so I can buy a pro tech Malibu. Hope I love it. Have a good day
I learned a few things. Thanks for making the video. 😎🇺🇸
Absolutely brilliant, "disaster" handled with humour and fortitude :) And, brave enough to put it online too, Good Man
I shit my pants laughing at that. The calm and collected laugh shortly afterwards was hilarious.
Nick ends up on his hands and knees under his desk, praying to knife gods to return his missing scale screw. And thus, the reasoning behind the name “Ritual” becomes clear.
I’m here for the disassemblies!
"Ideally I should be able to remove these 4 screws and call it a day."
My immediate thought: "The assist spring's gonna fly across the room, innit?"
And to be fair: Without knowing this detail I probably would've done the exact same thing.
Nick, 6 hours sounds pretty good to me. About 3 months ago I lost a washer for a para 3 and ultimately gave up on finding it. Moved out of that house and actually found it in the process, went to reassemble and realized apparently I am missing a pivot screw as well
Man, I have been there.
This video is a gem
That watch is gorgeous!
Yes!? What model is it?
Serge Watches Model 1
@@NickShabazz seems I prefer it now than when you reviewed it haha!
What a beautiful birthday present
Maybe in the future, Nick should disassemble assisted folders while inside of a mosquito net (the sort that's designed to be hung over camp bunk beds) so he can limit the range he has to search for flying scales & screws. I think that would be analogous to Nick's idea of disassembling an IKBS folder while seated naked at the center of a big satellite dish.
It’s been entertaining! Thanks.
Actually giggled when the scale shot off
Of all the questions that could be asked, I'll just ask 1. Why would an assisted knife that can't be de-assisted have bearings?
Probably "bearings" looks good on the product page.
One can argue it'll make for a faster and 'snappier' action. There's not a whole bunch of harm in it, either way. The assist will overcome slowing of the bearing action, too.
@@NickShabazz Add to it the size of that bearings. That also looks like the minimal size to be able to brag about heaving them.
I would have LOVED to have seen that first step in slow motion!
Very much phallic in shape
I'm literally NEVER unsubscribing.
Thanks , needed the laughter today 👍
Very good to know, thanks for sharing..
Does that count as a ballistic knife?
Love that video! Thanks!
Every step must be meticulously taken in the proper order... almost as if there was some kind of ritual involved.
Given that you wear a Batman mask and the mystery of disassembly, instead of the Ritual, perhaps CRKT should have named it the Riddler.
"Lose an eye to this damn thing" I picked the wrong time to take a swallow of my drink. lol
Nice job... can you do it again ?
Utterly classic! (sorry). Can't wait for the *review.*
I've been waiting for this since I saw it on Instagram 🤣🤣🤣
Why assisted? Ohhh, not enough blade mass, I guess..
This was surprisingly great 😂
Yeet! Say bye bye to that screw. Lol
that was funny af but I feel your pain, Assisted knives are a pain to clean and Maintain.
It looks like a knife from Temple of Doom.
Oh Nick, Nick, Nick. Thank you, I needed that to start my day.
Welcome to my world I fix watches for a living use your imagination
Talk about having one screw loose too many... 😃
Wow 😳
Need. 🥰
You do seem to digress
Same disigner as that auto Buck you once did?🤣
"Now thats a knife ;)"
Nick you should give that back to Jack Sparrow
That’s a pretty terrible design. I don’t want my knifes functionality dependent on a piece of scale. That’s a weird design. Why??
Yeet.
"OK"
it's a real shame this knife is assisted, honestly I don't think assisted knives need to exist any more with how good manufacturing has become all they seem to do is legally restrict where you can sell the product.
All CRKT knives are handmade so they don’t offer any replacement parts whatsoever! Junk!
That's a butt ugly knife. And that's coming from someone who owns a Spyderco Khalsa.
This is such a ugly design.
CRKT has never impressed me. They are too gimmicky, like Cold Steel. I like their “home front” knives, but that’s about it
I'm gonna say Cold Steel isn't gimmicky in design or construction, but rather overbearing and cringe in advertising and media personality. CRKT on the other hand have had great design and terrible execution.
This assembly design however is just terrible, regardless of how you feel about the aesthetics of the knife. It is obviously designed in expectance of pretty much never being disassembled for maintenance.
Looks like something made for an expendables flick
