Cries in Linux tears
Edit: found a Foss alternative, mechvibes
thanks for saving my time.
There is one more alternative app " Neptune "
thanks for showing alternatives!
This video is just a flex to show Cody's typing speed 😂
I literally do everything in my power to silence my keys 😂 This grinds my gears
Linear keyboooooaaarrrddd let’s go
Same. I wonder is there any trend or community to make silent workspace not a loud one
Thanks for the suggestion. Appreciate it.
About using a mechanical keyboard is all about the switch, I use red switch, which is pretty smooth and I don't have to bottom the key to have it pressed. I had to return one keyboard because it was too "soft" for my fingers, so I would end up pressing a key just by resting my finger, so even the same color switches can have difference in pressure needed to press it
Strangely enough I actually like the sound of someone typing on the MacBook keyboard. I would also reduce the sound just a smidge.
lol good job babe!!! Love ya!
Good to see you ma'am .
Hope you are feeling well.
☺
@@jaymondal7775 thank you! Surgery is healing well so far just some pain. :)
sounds fine to me, keeping it low and subtle is nice.
Test it out in a couple of videos, but make sure the volume is not too high
Ilike the sound of it. Better to have the level very low though so it’s not too overwhelming.
Pretty neat. I just think for videos it might be good to lower the sound a bit.
Are you known with Keychron? Am using the K7B1 and its mechanical but light pressured and also flat keys, almost similar to my MBP M2 Max, really love working with it.
Anyways, great vid again, thanks! Have a greaat weekend.
I've never heard of
Definitely, keychron low profile is better than MacBook keyboard in my opinion. Real sound too
@@WebDevCody Keychron gained popularity over the last few years for being decent budget mechanical keyboards. I have the K2 with brown switches. They feel like half the pressure needed to the DasKeyboard Ultimate that I have. The mech keyboard world is all about customization. You can find your perfect preference in sound, pressure, and tactile feel. It's definitely a hobby though and can be very overwhelming to jump into.
Nice, btw what's your keyboard type? are you using the one which came with your macbook ?
Yes the built in one
the best purchase I've made this year
Have you tried linear switches? They don't need much pressure for keystrokes.
I like the cream switch but a little quitter kinda in the background not to hear that close you know, thanks for sharing this I'll try it out also for myself
I like it... it sounds real and lovely while cording
interesting series bring a video showing all the settings of your vscode
I like those sounds it feels like I am doing something serious.
btw do you know how to increase typing speed ?
my wpm sucks.
you have to just practice. if you find yourself looking down at your keys when typing, I would recommend learning touch typing
This is great because some mechanical keyboards lack extra features from the mainstream, so now I can have both kinda.
I like a hefty 5lb copper weighted 65% mechanical keyboard with linear switches and cherry profile PBT key caps. I also prefer a copper plate with a more forgiving gasket system or a mounting system that is softer, basically opposite of a top mount. I’ve been looking at the new SixtyFive mode design keyboard, a ton of options and really like you can get a poly top case and still outfit it with copper and reach 5lbs. It’s expensive but it’s all about the sound and typing experience, much better than your standard MX or gaming mech keyboard.
If you're going to use it in your videos I'd recommend turning it down just a bit but I agree it does add a little something
that’s so satisfying
If you can reduce the sound a bit i think it should be fine
Instantly Purchased!
Watching in a video reminds me of sounds that had in Camtasia
I would go crazy after like 5 minutes
I like the cream one !
might make me fall asleep from the asmr
Green switches are the best!
Can you show your user json settings?
go for it
Lol i like it, keyboard asmr. Just reduce sound a bit so it's in the background
I really enjoyed the cream one. The others not so much.
Look What They Need to Mimic a Fraction of Our Power
Go for it I guess, but keep the volume low, or else it's gonna be annoying I think
“Cant type today” proceeds to type 60 more wpm than me…
sold my mechanical keyboard yesterday just because it hurt my fingers to the point where my finger tip skin would peel off
👀 that's crazy
I gave the dev $4 lol. Good video!!
Mechanical keyboards have lots of different switches, from very soft to very hard.
When it’s too loud, you sound like you’re playing hungry hungry hippos
If you can keep the sound a little bit lower, I think it would provide a lot of value. The monkey type part was too loud for my taste.
thanks for the feedback, I'll keep it lower for sure
I mean, I’m just like you. I love the sound but am too lazy to invest in the product. And with this, I can have both when I want it, and I also like the laptop keys better
Yeah maybe it will help to but still cringe 😂🤣
Can you create a windows like clipboard for Linux.
gnome extensions solves this problem.
what distro you use ?
I’ve just bought it because of this video
I like it, shame it's only for Mac. Never getting one of those
come to the dark side
@@WebDevCody I had to for work (for about 6 months), it's how I know I don't like it. Really want to try zed though
For anyone that codes while wearing airpods or any other bluetooth headphones, beware that it adds just enough latency between clicking a key and hearing the noise to drive you crazy. Unfortunate I just spent $4 on this and hate it lol
There's a new big update around the corner as well
Yep, agree. Mac book's keyboards - best of the best )
Huh, I swear the title was changed and before it said "app store" instead of "macos app" or something like that?
I changed it because it didn’t make sense due to a typo
Stuff like this is perfect to annoy your chat on stream :p.
Pretty cool app but i don't love the delay after pressing the keys. I feels off...
Edit: I had my Airpods in, this explains the delay. Without wireless headphones the sound is without delay!
Interesting, yeah I just use the Mac sound so I didn’t notice a big delay
@@WebDevCody They should implement a feature to set a custom output source..
lol this is so cool
Bro i thought you have mechanical keyboard, you need a mechanical keyboard to enter our galaxy
I was in that galaxy once but came back to earth
What if my laptop keys already make mechanical sound😅
The guy that made this could make a fortune off this, but I bet Apple will just implement this in a future OS upgrade for free.
apple will scoop off the top of all his revenue as well 😭
WOOOOOOW. I actually want it. What a trip
dude wth 125 wpm wtf
No windows?
I found Mechvibes and ClicKey which are both for Windows and work in a similar way
I love your work. Could you please make a video about Next.js 14 authentication with an external Express backend, and using Redux Toolkit for storing authentication states? Additionally, could you cover protected routes with Redux Toolkit, similar to how we do it in React with Vite ✌✌✌
yes tbh just keep it
Good for annoying teammates thanks!
hook up to your 5.1 surround sound system and it's game over
idk did he just flexed his typing speed like wut 152wpm is never average or is it? am i that slow damn it....
This entire video was to flex my wpm 😆
@@WebDevCody seesh what a polite way to obscure it :)
Hihi so tell me you gonna switch to ASMR lol
Yes 🤣
I vote yes [x]
Programmer bliss😂
ASMR
I love it to hear it for my self but not in a Video😅 its so cringe to hear it on your side
Watch me become a trend setter
@@WebDevCody i hope not :-D if anyone will set this as trend my viewing time will be directly destroyed 😀
I use and love mechanical keyboard. But please don't use this sound in tutorial videos. It will be distraction.
No, don't do it 😮😅
This is some next level cope, just buy a mechanical keyboard
He just said why he doesn’t use one anymore
Iuk
I like using my trackpad; a mechanical keyboard would make my flow awful because now I have to move my hand far to get to a trackpad or mouse. 152 wpm - never had that speed on a mechanical keyboard either.
You probably haven't used laptop keyboards. They are so soft and easy to press.
@@sincethatmoment Used a ton, it sucks
bc Mac people can't get a mechanical keyboard 😮
new joke
Its clickity time.
let's go!
Deleted my comment when mentioning open-source free alternative, interesting.
I don’t delete comments. RUclips doesn’t allow links
@@WebDevCody Woops my bad, ty for info on that :)
Edit: Careful with Bluetooth Earphones - too much of a delay.
@@Liam.Stevens what is the open source alternative?
