Heard this song on a Netflix show called Maid. I’m still thinking about the show. It was really good. I’m glad I have soundhound or I would’ve never found the song probably lol.
So...let me start off by saying that when the video first started and I saw the Transgender...my first reaction was to go "ugh" and change it. As someone who considered himself a conservative christian I felt it was my duty to react that way. The song held me there though. Then I started to pay attention to the person in the video. And then I started to realize just how wrong my worldview had become. How negative and narrow-minded. By the time the video ended I was in tears and cheering for the girl. Yes...the girl. I still love God and still believe in Christ as my savior. I am looking now at His words with a different heart though. He told us to love our fellow persons as we ourselves want to be loved. He didn't say as long as they were like us or that they have to fit into a narrow category of isms. EVERYONE. To the girls of Caveboy...thank you for making a song that was catchy enough to hold this cynical old man long enough to have his eyes opened. To the girl in the video...thank you for the raw and real you that you let fly in that video. I can't imagine the hate you must encounter on a daily basis. I hope and pray that someday the true love of God shines in everyones life and lets them see what I saw. You are beautiful. You are strong. Let it fly.

Such a trip to see your"official" video of a song you performed with such searing ferocity and joy this past weekend during Rifflandia. When I walked in you had just started this song, nearing the end of your set, and you had the audience sold! What a sight to see the smiles, the dancing, and the love. Therefore, the vivid memory your performance on Saturday, September 17th, 2016 as I watched from the balcony of the Alix Goolden Hall will be my own "official" music video forever.
