    I just passed my HTL exam yesterday. I have to say, I went in there ultra confident. Especially taking 5 months of studying for the exam. I have memorized over 1000 questions on the BOC HT/HTL book. And also, studied independently from my own notes through school. And lastly, I purchased the ASCP practice exam and took it pretty much every other day, for months & my scores a month before the exam was 90% to 94%.
    So I was sure I was ready to take on this exam. Unfortunately, as I was going through each questions, I was getting deflated after each questions and not knowing the answers. Also, the photos was shown in the exam is not even what’s on the Carson/BOC book. I took every single photo of the special stain in the Carson book and made a quizlet out of it. Every special stain photo in the book I have memorized. And NONE of the photo was use in the exam. I was lost almost 90% of the exam. I was sooo sure I have failed… and then suddenly, it’s says PASS. 🥴 I was so happy. I am waiting on my scored. I’m curious how I did… 🤣 I thought I failed miserably…

    • @theLabgirl
      @theLabgirl  4 года назад +1

      Hey! Nothings off topic ! Glad you asked. Carpel Tunnel (hope I spelled that right 😂) but that can happen with repetitive motion of the wrist . But ergonomics is really important to the lab and we have people who comes in to make sure you’re comfortable and not hurting yourself. So the right posture and chair and foot stools can be provided. The job isn’t physically demanding in my opinion. Hope this helps 💜but yes you’ll use your hands all day.

    • @theLabgirl
