0:39 pretty sure the dual status monitors are for the captain to see damaged devices and be able to easily mark them without having to switch tabs, which is very convenient
The outer shell of the sub being the ballast is a crazy idea holy shit. When enemies break through and it fills with water- the fuckin ballast is MEANT to be full of water… it’s one of those ideas that makes total sense but probably isn’t that great in practice. Honestly, I’d expect it to be a completely lateral improvement; not better or worse, just different, with its own challenges.
that’s how double hull ships are designed. maersk, evergreen. most merchant vessels are designed that way to prevent oil pollution when gorunding or collision

The coils are on the outside but their electricity reaches into most of the swim space as well :)

Been playing this Submarine in my latest run of barotrauma, really like the double layer hull as you can take a punishing but still get away with it

Two sheathing maybe looks good on paper, but in overall its should cause a tons of problems with enemies and with bots especially

If you set up your waypoints properly, it works ok.
