I like the hatchet design, and I suspect it's very high quality being Olight, but I do wonder though about the utility overall. I tend to carry a bolo or a (roughly) 125 year old Japanese carpentry hatchet. Both of them will cut down anything you want very easily, the bolo is really light weight, although the carpentry hatchet has quite a bit of weight to it. Being a carpentry hatchet I can pare wood down to splinters with it, flip it and it has an excellent hammer head. I do like a hatchet that has more weight when you need it, but it is a pain to carry if hiking a long way. Great advice about the cover. I think a lot of times we forget that a properly sharpened axe/hatchet/tomahawk is every bit as sharp as a knife. The X4 looks fantastic though and it is really compact. Keep up the great reviews 👍
