Being a Sri Lankan I am so glad that this elephant was rescued. They are magnificent and deserve to be protected. They have a wisdom and remembrance which is lacking in some present day politicians and far more Compassion. And ofcourse express their gratitude too. We can learn from them how to protect our own species.

With the phrase "the waves crashed against the sand creating a symphony of hope," I thought this would be one story that would end well and not go into "over-kill" mode, but sadly, they didn't know when to stop. Riding on a elephant's back is not acceptable practice any longer. Especially if you trying to reintegrate them back into the bush. Hopefully this elephant will live his best life free with his own kind.💙🐘

Didn't you notice the chain around its ankle. This animal was owned by someone. Now someone else has it.
It looks like the Elephant has been given to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. They are chained in one place without able to move about, also roughly handled. It is a place where tourists visit. They have complained about the way the elephants are treated. Hope and pray this Elephant and the others are treated well in the future. Have visited the orphanage. Yes, they are handled andtreated roughly. Chained, cannot move about. ( At the end of the video the baby elephant in water is a scene from Thailand where baby elephants are to swim inside water ( tank ?) where tourists take selfies).

It showed that it had tusks that were bobbed off on the ends then they showed an elephant on the shore but had no tusks at all? Another made up tall tale!
I noticed that too. Makes me wonder if this was a combined video from an elephant in a pond with an elephant playing by the shore. All set up to make it look like a rescue to get viewers.
Navy vessels shown varied from a large frigate, carrying helicopters, down to a Motor Torpedo Boat.
Plus there were many redundant phrases about the limits of endurance, the human spirit, while the basics were left out. Who, Where, When and Why. Any such report needs to have ship name and type; commanding officer; date & time; and location (Lat & Long, or at least, distance from shore and nearest port. The wretched U.S. media have taught me over and over: Relevant facts missing reveal the areas central to the true meaning of the entire item. They set up the reader to draw false conclusions.

Wonderbot Animals,, The Shri Lanka Navy has no aircraft carriers, no cruisers, 1 destroyer, 2 frigates and a bunch of patrol boats. They are barely a Navy at all.
Maybe they are just really good at hide and seek on the high seas!
You know nothing about the Sri Lankan Navy, it’s true that they don’t have aircraft carriers but they have all the vessels they need to do their job. It’s the most experienced navy I would say in the recent history fighting with suicide boats of Tamil Tigers, no other navy has fought against suicide boats since world war 2. They defeated Tamil Tigers and their suicide boat squadrons bravely. Sri Lanka became the first country in the world to have completely eliminated & defeated the most ruthless terrorists organization LTTE in the world. Please do some research on them as they were assigned to patrol the Red Sea to counter Houthis recently and it’s the most battle hardened Navy in the region.

Poor Elephant I can’t believe it survived being in the ocean for who knows how long, I am so happy the navy found it and was able to rescue it and eventually take it to a rescue center. He/She will have some wonderful memories to go along with those scarey ones. I hope it never wonders off alone again. Thanks to all who were involved in the rescue of this sweet elephant.
