This performance is "all live". Harmonies are live AND the instruments are live. During this tour they were travelling with their live band and sometimes live orchestra for some songs :D
P.S.: the crowd is quieter because this performance was in Japan. Japan has a VERY strict policy regarding these events + Japanese crowd is, in general, very respectful. They would clap for artists, would keep it quiet during the song, would never disturb them. Japanese ARMYs are extra respectful 🥺

They do sound amazing, and this is live in Beijing, July of 2016. So Jungkook was still 18 here (he would turn 19 a couple months later in September), Jimin and Tae were both still 20, and Jin was 23. That’s still really young to be this good, and this confidant in front of such a huge crowd - but this was quite late in the concert, they had been performing for a couple of hours already, and where exhausted - yet they still sing with pain and longing in their voices - you don’t need the lyrics to know this is a sad song with a touch of sensuality/passion to it

This is when I first discovered Jin's amazing voice! I fell in love with his voice. He is my favorite!!! Even though the others's are great.... 'No way. No way" is so heartfelt. I feel his emotion on those few words! And Jin kills the harmonies!

There have been quite a few reactors recently picking up the Weekend vibe. BTS’ music is either ahead of their time, but a lot is giving those 1990-2000 sounds/ vibes. But either way, they always hit the Mark, and can do no wrong.

There is some glitching in your audio @1:50, and @4:32, @5:4? I have been getting this for about 2 weeks now on almost everything, sometimes it is worse. When you were washing dishes it was like a constant pattern of glitch, every 2-3 mins, the whole video- ??? I think I was watching it live then.

It's a techno-folk genre. This song type/tradition is almost a century old, it's a ritualistic song about an ancient pagan forest deity called Shum. The song is meant to call Shum to bring the Sprig faster and say goodbye to Winter.
And the instrument you will hear is not a flute but a traditional Ukrainian (or rather old-Slavic) wind instrument - "sopilka". This is one of the most commonly used instruments in Ukrainian traditional songs. She is also singing in a traditional throat singing style, called "white singing". It's a beautiful combination of Ukrainian traditions and modern sound 😁
P.S.: the meaning of the song is also about season changing. In this context, ending of the pandemic (the Winter) and beginning of new era aka new Spring.
