For whoever needs to hear this - if someone hurts you it's on them to do the work to rebuild trust. If you ask for time and space to think and process and they aren't willing to wait as long as it takes then they were never a friend to begin with. If after taking the time you realise that you don't miss them being around, then it's ok to walk away from that friendship.

I feel like Jordan didn’t want to talk to Trish anymore because of his own family situation. Being 1/4 Punjabi and having an Indian last name, it’s not hard to imagine that Jordan would be really offended by slurs and remarks made about Indian or South Asian people by someone he thought he could trust.
I think he needed time and he maybe realised that it wasn’t worth being friends with Trish anymore. I don’t think he wanted to say that part out. I also think the comments about “me and Trish are working this out privately” were also to do with her wellbeing as well. He didn’t want fans speculating on their friendship status. In between that, Trish did go on a livestream and basically implied that Jordan was crazy to not respond so I don’t think he cares now.

He has the right to do as he pleases but she also has every right to be hurt and to speak on it. Friends don’t treat each other like this. Jordan is flawed like everyone, Trish and her fans can hold her accountable but jenri fans are toxically delusional, full of excuses.

@@dorastouch3766I didn’t say that Trish shouldn’t be able to speak about it. My point is merely explaining why Jordan acted the way he did from my interpretation and what we as the audience know about Jordan through the very exposing Big Brother experiment.
Forgiveness is not automatic after you apologise and Trish cannot force Jordan to be friends with her. Yes, good on her for apologising and acknowledging her mistakes but ultimately forgiveness is about trust and Jordan has lost trust in Trish.

BTW for the purpose of clarity and because if you are going to criticise someone for something they said it's important to be accurate. Jordan NEVER said they were sorting things out or communicating privately his EXACT words were
"And re the stuff between Trish and me: *Trish is a good person*, but it's something we're going to work out in our own time -
    it's a private matter"
and in reply to a fan of hers attacking him for not speaking to her "I'm not, I'm literally
trying to deal with my emotions, alright"
That is verbatim what he said. A few days after this Trish slagged him off on a live and on her instagram essentially ending any chance of them reconciling herself.

  • @gingerek

There are two sides to every story. She made a mistake , which happens to best of us. She apologised, which was the right thing to do but she must understand that it doesnt make the whole thing go away. There will still be people who will not want to associate with her because of the tweets. No point getting angry about it. If Jordan and Henry dont want to risk damaging their public image for someone who theyve known for 5 weeks, they are absolutely entitled to do so. They dont really owe her anything? And getting angry about it 6 months later isnt doing anyone any good x

I get that Trish feels betrayed Jordan hasn’t forgiven her, however it’s starting to feel vindictive on her side as Jordan has been respectful and never bad mouthed her since leaving the show (as far as I’m aware). It may be a bit pathetic to some people that he didn’t forgive her for her tweets but it is definitely not a crime that he needs to be punished for. She’s always banging on about “haters are loud” but isn’t she doing the same? I hope she uses that energy she has to concentrate on her career and looking after her son instead.

Jordan might not care about the tweets, he may just dislike her for personal reasons but is far too polite to be upfront about it. Trish needs to accept that she is not liked enough by Jordan and Henry to be considered a friend and to leave them alone.
Jordan is not emotionally available and its more than likely that he didn't like Trish that much when they were in the house. I've been friends with people like Jordan, they'll be friendly with people because they're terrified to be mean but deep down they can't wait to get away from them and dislike them.

Well done for having a racist on your platform Will. I don’t know why this is so hard to understand, but since Trish's tweets were offensive to Jordan's heritage, he was probably shocked and hurt to find out his friend could have written such awful things. And forgiveness is earnt, not a given. He doesn’t have to forgive Trish at all if he doesn’t want to, and why would he when she continues to badmouth him? Imagine if it was the other way around and Jordan had said horrible things about Congolese people - there is no way Trish would forgive him. Ultimately this friendship is dead in the water (much like Trish's career) and going forward I would love to see Trish being more civil - Jordan has said he holds no ill-will. I'm so pleased to see Trish on this show. I loved her in the house and hoped she would win. It was sad to have her disappear after leaving the house. I was disappointed by her old tweets but I also know that most of us have said stuff that has offended others at one time or another. Big Brother isolating her after she left the house was a bad way of handling things. They should have scheduled a sit down interview with her and got her to explain things. I don't believe Trish is racist but I see that she made comments that were racist. She is clearly a different person to the one that tweeted those comments, as demonstrated by the way she behaved in the house. She is thoughtful, caring and concerned with other peoples welfare. I only wish her the best and hope whatever she chooses to do is a success for her.

    • @imsoboredhahaha
      @imsoboredhahaha 9 месяцев назад +6

If she was concerned by people’s welfare, she’d refuse to bad mouth Jordan for not accepting her quickly redacted apology.
The man is Anglo-Indian and bisexual in a relationship with another man- two characteristics that were under attack by Trish’s tweets. The tweets were incredibly racist:
      1. “Is the (P-slur*) REALLY racist?” (2012)
      2. “I’m surprised the Indian Paralympic team didn’t bring some1 with 8 limbs” (2012)
      3. “@ work, kill me please *Indian accent*” (2012)
      4. “The smell of Pondu cooking is so strong, I hope I don’t leave my house smelling of it like Asian people smell of curry at times.” (2012)
      5. “Asian don’t mind them, it’s the useless ones that complain”. (2019)
(*The actual slur was tweeted out)
Jordan has every right to not want to speak to Trish again. You don’t know what Jordan’s experiences of racism are and you don’t know how hurtful or triggering those tweets were to him. He probably realised that he didn’t want to be friends with someone who used a horrific slur used against his people and lost a lot of trust.
Jordan needed time to process it during a time when he was also dealing with being a new celebrity and dealing with the new stresses of having contracts to sign, an image to maintain, fans to appease and having more media attention on him. He probably couldn’t dedicate the time to think about if he could accept a former friend despite their past racism within Trish’s dumb timeframe before she just said shit about him.
Remember, Jordan never wanted to give Trish hate. He told his fanbase to not give Trish hate, said they’d “work it out in private” and he refused to speak negatively on any of his housemates even when asked for a juicy gossip question in an interview. Trish chose to do the opposite.

On Trish last night in the house she got in Jordans face and threatened him to "not say shit to Chanelle" a friend of his in the house who Trish did not like. I can't speak for Jordan but for me that kind of behaviour would be friendship over. There is no way back with a "friend" who is comfortable speaking to you in that way. Trish left before Jordan could properly resolve that with her, he then leaves the house to find out she had dozens of past tweets being racist toward his South Asian heritage (specifically South Asian men) That is a hell of a double whammy for anyone to deal with in relation to a friend you have only known for a short while on top of dealing with new found fame and your first relationship. He asked for time, Trish made a choice not to give him that time. That is on her.

    • @imsoboredhahaha
      @imsoboredhahaha 9 месяцев назад +15

      1. Everyone has the right to respond differently to the tweets. There were a variety of housemates who would have very personal reasons as to why they were hurt, disappointed, disgusted etc by Trish’s tweets, not all of them have to welcome Trish back into their lives with open arms and say all is forgiven. Just because Hallie wanted to reach out to Trish and support her doesn’t mean that Jordan has to. Just because you apologise for your action does not mean those who you’ve hurt have to forgive you. Nobody is entitled to forgiveness, it’s earned through rebuilt trust.
      2. Jordan is an Anglo-Indian and bisexual man and because of these two characteristics of his identity, he is likely hurt by the tweets both from a racist view and a homophobic view. He also has trust issues with people stemming from past trauma that he mentioned in Big Brother so the tweets likely hurt him and he’s lost a lot of trust with Trish. He wanted more time to deal with it but I think now he’s reevaluated his friendship with Trish and decided without telling Trish that he no longer wants to be friends.
Henry initially seemed to want to mend the friendship he had with Trish but because his boyfriend was not ready to move on, he didn’t want to move forward with the friendship.
I think both Jordan & Henry and Trish need to move on. I don’t think they’ll ever really cross paths again and that’s ok. Trish won’t be at NTAs or the BAFTAs most likely, she’ll be doing her own thing making her podcast and sharing her views with her fanbase.

So so so PROUD of Trish. Love this interview and how I felt different emotions. She has so much range, small minded people can not take it
It’s beginning to be weird how Jenri fans target Trish and Matty with their hatred in different platforms. If Jordan has a problem with associating himself with people with concerning past comments on his Asian heritage then he shouldn’t be dating someone who loves boris Johnson out lpud. Boris has been openly racist to asian people and has advocated for policies that effects people of colour.
If Jordan turned on his friend because of his heritage then what is his doing in his relationship with a Boris lover?!
    Hypocrites all over.

Nobody is hating on Trish and where does Matty come into this? Him, Jordan and Henry on are on good terms babe?
People aren't happy because Trish keeps dragging this on, yes talk about your time in the house it was her experience too but just a few months ago she said she was leaving the drama (that she created) with Jordan in 2023, cut to March 2024 and she still can't get the lad's name out of her mouth. He's never spoke bad about her once, so why does she need to speak on him? If he wants to move on, then respectfully, Trish needs to move on too. And as for the blatant racism on his heritage, that's up to Jordan to decide whether he's been offended by it, not you.
And I'm sick of saying this but the general hate for Henry over his former political views is always very boring. He's admitted numerous times that he's reformed, but again, nobody wants to listen because then there'll be nothing to dislike him over!
