How I Usually Make Pom Pom For Hat

- Yarn pom pom making at home without a pom pom maker. This is I usually make my pom pom for crocheted hat. I'm using folded paper. Take two strands of yarn & wrap the folded paper 70 to 80 times. I did this method to avoid pompom from falling apart easy.
If the video is too slow: click the video settings or the 3 dots(if you're using phone. It's in the right corner of the video) & set to your desired playback speed.
My crochet videos have written instructions only, no voice. You can write the whole instructions from my videos for personal use only.

You get a lot of string wrap it then you not it in the middle then cut the outside and there you go a Pom Pom!

i will usually watch video after video until i decide ill attempt it and honestly i was a little hesitant with the start of mine following your tutorial as ive needed to replace the pom pom on my new hat that ive had for a year now lol. Finally my 2nd attempt at a pom pom and the end result after trimming for what felt like forever , It came out perfect so thank you for this heaven sent tutorial

All pompoms are pretty much made the same way, but several things that set this tutorial apart: it’s tied three separate times, instead of one. Surgeon’s knot instead of simple square knot. Glue for extra security. Plus a nice tip/ slight tweak on the usual “doughnut” or “sandwich” trimming.
I found the pacing slow, b/c once I get a concept I want to move on. But for others, showing everything step be step is huge. Well done!!
@L F: you can always increase the speed of the video once you know what you were looking for, but still watch til the end. Videos like this one are wonderful, everything is clear without words

Hello there, Thank you so much. This is what I do if I need pompom. So far, so good. No falling apart.. I think the advantage of having pom pom maker, it has less trimmed. Just make sure tie it really tight. You are so welcome.
