Even Nididhyasana with text support like asangah .. or chiddanandarupa shivoham shivoham at the end of the day is a mantra like Om Nama Shivaya, it is a thought. Samadhi is the silence after the mantra called nirvikalpa when the text support is dropped. The only subtle, but important difference I see is that in other mantras there is no identification with god , Shiva or consciousness, while in nididhasana with text support there is no god outside of you, just self-luminous consciousness, I am Shiva, IS that CORRECT ?

by shivoham you don't refer to shiva with his physical perform. It is the all pervading Shiva appearing as paramabrahman that you should be referring to. If you identify yourself with the Atman/Brahman only then can you say I am the deity Shiva yet I am not. It is not about asserting that this body or jivatman is the deity we know as Shiva. I understood this as a result of contemplation on swami vivekananda's lectures.

@@Pqihtyieojn12 Correct, it is exactly what I said. I understood it in meditation.
