Another knowledge gem! Thanks, Rick! I love the way you break concepts/approaches into simplistic steps. Starting with a structure is brilliant! Definitely going to try to incorporate that moving forward. The distressing trick too - so cool! The amount I've learned from you and from Nick is invaluable. Thank you, thank you!
Thanks! Its kind of tricky with IP and copyright rules so I'm always careful with this stuff. Here's a safe way to try it. Go to Google Fonts and pick one of their open source fonts you'd like to download. The steps may change and I will be setting this conversation up for confusion but basically you: 1. Open the dowoaded zip file. 2. Extract all. 3. Choose the font style you want from the extracted list. 4. Click Install and its hard to explain in a YT comment but the new file should be installed to the folder containing your other font files. 5. Restart computer. 6. Inkscape will see it and show it when you choose from the font drop down. 7. However there are many junk font sites, experimental fonts and stuff that isn't fully complete that jams up Inkscape or won't behave right. Its a great question but may need some one on one.
Does this work with pngs? I'm trying to distress a png with your Pexels image, but when I click Set Inverse Mask, the png and path texture (the pexels image) both disappear.
can you do a full Print ready tutorial video, by using Leonardo AI to make t-shirt graphics and then creating a t-shirt mockup, and also tell how to create a print ready design using an image.
For me, inkscape 1.3 does not convert the text object to a path. Should I use an older version or is it possible with this version? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Good question. Can you try making the path texture a vector with Trace Bitmap first? I'll try to make a quick video on it tonight.
@@IronEchoDesign a video would be great!
@@lindsaymcfarland2810 any update?
I'm experiencing the very same issue, is there a solution? thanks
I’ll try to upload a solution. Comment again if I don’t get to it. It’s a very useful question. Thanks

Good ideas. Here are two tutorials I made that may help. ruclips.net/video/LYL1C7arEAk/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/6xzUdOYyk3w/видео.html.

It sounds still be possible. Were there any path effects on the text? Sometimes they "stick" and it blocks the Object to Path function.
@@IronEchoDesign I have checked everything.I tried the same way you did, I tried several times but unfortunately it doesn't work.
@@IronEchoDesign Path ---> Split Path 😌 in 1.3 version
