I sort my closet out when it needs a good clean/organization and try to do it in winter and spring but I usually only end up tackling it once a year. It’s just so time consuming. I usually toss/donate whatever I haven’t used in 3 months with exceptions made for weather, family heirlooms, and special occasions clothes. Usually I don’t wear them because of fit, damage, or change in style so this method seems to work for me.
I think that sounds like a good technique! This is only my second time doing a "take everything out of your wardrobe"-clearout - and as you said it does take alot of time 😅 Before that I also only got rid of things that were broken or that didn´t fit 😃
@@JustLikeSara I was seriously the same. I just cleaned out my closet at the end of Jan and it only took me about an hour. I had cleaned out my closet twice in 2021 (a first!) so it made this clean out quick and easy. I really haven’t accumulated any new clothes since my last clean out so there weren’t any storage issues and ended up spending most of that time refolding everything so it looked nicer but still found things to get rid of. I donated everything to thread up so they can recycle what’s not useable and sell what is. After you’ve done such an awesome job working on your closet I’m sure the next time will be a breeze!
