Just bought a new echo wacker last night and the trigger is hard too pull too. But I lubed up the pivot point near the motor and used my clutch greaser for my dirtbike on the cable and it’s light as a feather now!

Also for anyone interested in the echo. You HAVE to mix it 50-1. It will last forever, and for convenience and to be safe you can always get the pre mix that’s ready to go. They run (32)% in it but not sure bout the oil. But I’ll tell you one thing. It almost looks like straight gas it’s pure asf and no ethanol. And literally 0 smoke 💨. Like a 4 stroke weed wacker.

But i have used stihl for years but certainly my carb fuel line busted and when i took it off the plastic fuel valve that connects to the fuel line snapped off. Well sadly my stihl dealer here no longer a dealer and i have to drive an hour out to get replacement parts. But i am hoping this echo works great because i need a back up in case my stihl fails again.

I have run all of these. The 525LST out performs all of them. It is the torque design they have which is unparalleled. They are not only stronger pound for pound, but they are lighter and they start up right away. They are very balanced as well. The echo is very he’s y and not as strong. Still good bit bit as good. The is nice but temperamental. Treat yourself to a 525LST. Finally it’s a true two cycle.

I like my John Deere XT 120, just as good as a Stihl or Echo, if not better. The only problem is the parts can cost more than they should, plus the trigger is a bad design and the spark plug and engine cover are not properly insulated, it can burn and shock you.

My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ruclips.net/user/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

I'm buying a trimmer this weekend.. and I just don't know where to go. I stopped using one and used an old pushmower everywhere I would trim because my trimmer was a Craftsman 4-stroke (separate oil and gas) from years and years ago. Back when I first heard of them coming out. I wanna say it is like a 42cc or something.. Maybe not. I need to look, but I'm pretty sure it was nearly twice the cc as the usual 2 strokes. Of course, that's just about what it takes to make a 4 stroke match a 2 stroke... twice the cc. It's just been that long since I have used it because I hate it and it's trash. It's weak. It's got that good idea (to me) of a 4 string trimmer head but not nearly enough power to spin it fast enough or to hold speed when cutting anything besides grass that's already mowed lol.
I think I'm gonna go with the 525LST then? Already have a Husqvarna zero-turn that's all fine and dandy. Nothing special, 54" deck, 24 horsepower Kawasaki engine. But, anyways, so far, so good.
I just want a trimmer that knocks whatever weeds down I'm swinging it through. I hold the trigger, it revs and holds it and I just watch the weeds fall... 3 feet tall or not. Is the 525LST powerful enough to not let me down? I'm seeing it is 1.34 horsepower. The entry level models in 2-stroke are 1 horsepower.
I wish I could remember what I had to use in jail. It was a Stihl but I have no idea on the model of it. It was the best thing I've ever used... not that I've used anything over the cheapest, base model trimmers before that. I'm looking for something like that (not that I have any details)... something that cuts ANYTHING grass.

Echo and Shindaiwa has been the most reliable for me. I've had more bad experiences with Stihl and Husqvarna. But also more options for Echo/Shindaiwa carbs vs some Stihl carbs. Such as the Stihl FS94. I have a reliable Stihl hedge trimmer with a widely available carb and other replacement parts. Best is what's been working for the individual. Whatever gets the job done with little headache, hickups and support wins for the one using the tool.

Never tried Husqvarna Steel just seemed designed better than the echo I didn't like how they designed the fuel tank had a lot of trouble edging with it. I got the steel new had it for years still works great. I got the echo off the trash cuz they said it wouldn't start it didn't take more than five minutes to get it to start but the gas was bad. Change that the echo works fine unfortunately gas leaks out of the muffler a little bit that's because the previous owner threw it across their backyard. But the Echoes also one of those you can turn into an edger so I think I'm going to get the piece for that. They both overall work really well it's just that when you Edge with the echo you can't do it when you have a quarter of the tank of gas.
Also the newer steals have no cruise control thing on them

When it’s hot out it seems to get even more flimsy and when you’re working the throttle trimming around stuff, the engine isn’t responding to your inputs. The throttle can move 1/2”-3/4” without any change in engine speed and that’s not acceptable. If it wasn’t for that, the 525 family of trimmers would be nearly perfect! (I-M-O)

Keep a 94r and buy the hedger head or get a stihl power head or is the 525 lst that much more different than the 94r or 2620T? I do commercial lawn care. The brands you see on trucks are heavily dependent on availability. Each area of the country has only so many dealers. Here in my city redmax and husky makes up an overwhelming majority. Because redmax is at the scag dealer and husky at the husky dealer. We have echo dealer and they sell kubota hustler. Echo just isn't used here. Stihl either. Stihl dominates small towns that only have stihl available to them.or rural king , northern tool and ace hardwares have stihl as well
