Amazing! This is currently my inspiration to help with making creative candles! Thank you!
This is just what I was looking for. Thank you!!!
You're so welcome!
I love it!
What time/temperature would you suggest for a wine bottle?
Hi thanks for the video looks awesome. Question will the paint come out if u put water after you have bake it.
Beautiful
Beautiful! What Temperature level did you use for your oven in baking your jars thank you so much
Beautiful!
PRETTY!!! 😍😍😍
it turned out wonderful, though it is part 2 not 1,😁.... I will wait for the other part which you explain how to mix the paint....
+maho steinberg oikawa Sorry for the title confusion! I have fixed this and am uploading Part One right now! Thanks!
Hooked for Life with Mary Beth Temple no need to be sorry it great anyway 😄
Looking to do this with an alcohol bottle, how well does the oven waterproof it? The bottle will regularly have water sitting in it, do you think thats gonna be problematic?
I have been fine with water in it - like for cut flowers. Haven’t tried anything else.
Wow these came out stunning!!!
Can you please recommend a good sealer? I want to do this to the outside of a tumbler and seal it. All food grad.
So with it being cooked into jar, you can actually put in a candle and it won't mess with it? Also, I have backed a few jars with mod, and didn't like how they turned out, so when I let them soak in soapy water, after a few days, I could peel off the paint. And then scrub the remaining off the jar. To my understanding, you can not have water in the jars, nor candles that you light.
It is probably not an official opinion but I have burned votives in these for a few hours at a pop with no problem. I am not swearing that is safe though, just that I have tried it and it was fine.
Interesting craft video. Do I have to use the oven or can air dry?
Love them! Im hoping to find some short, chunky jars to make candle holders. If we have a craft fail, do you sell these on a website anywhere? 😃
I don’t - and I would be careful and test on other types of jars. I am wondering if the Mason jars handle heat better than other types of jars might do.
My jars have formed bubbles while baking. Why is it so?
Me too! Please help!
Can you use powder food colouring ?
What did preheat too ?
HI, what oven temperature are you using for the jars?
340 Fahrenheit I believe.
What do you put the oven at? I’m worried about it shattering and damaging my oven. Also, if I don’t bake it will it turn out any different?
I have not done it without baking - I expect it wouldn’t be as crystal clear without the heat. I have the oven set to 340 Fahrenheit
Do I have to use mason jars?
Probably not? But I would be concerned about the glass cracking if I wasn't sure the make of the glass. Mason jars are meant to withstand heat so I didn't feel concerned putting them in the oven.
What temperature was your oven?
What oven temp and for how long???
When i take mine out and let cool off they seem to always have pop bubbles look. How can I fix it?
I think you need more of the goop to drip out before baking.
hey mary!!
will the color wear off over time?
It hasn’t happened yet to me! I don’t put water in mine though, I use them with dried flowers or with LED candles in them.
What temperature? Why wouldn't she say that?
Temperature info is in the Part 1 video - this is Part 2. 340 degrees Fahrenheit.
Do you preheat the oven and don’t you turn them around ?
@@zaramahir1439 she did preheat, i dont think she turned the jars at all in the oven. Pt 1 is also on her channel
@@hookedforlifewithMBTwow, looks amazing.. Surely going to try this soon
can you store spices in these jars after there finished?, or is it not safe to store food spice goods in them ?
I personally would not store food in them - I don’t know 100% one way or the other, but I wouldn’t!
@@hookedforlifewithMBT. Ok thanks for the info
Can you place hot wax or water in these after ?
I have done water with no problems, haven’t tried wax.
Once baked can you wash these?
I did and had no problems.
Hi! Came across your video and I want to do something similar to the glass jars I may order for my skincare business. Is there any possibility of the dye getting into my creams, etc?
I simply do not have the answer to that - I am sorry. I would definitely say the glitter would get in the lotion but I am not sure of the dye. I would also think you’d have to be very careful of that so you didn’t ruin your product so my immediate instinct would be it’s not a good idea. The food coloring is obviously food grade but I am not sure about color transfer.
@@hookedforlifewithMBT ok thank you so much!
@@hookedforlifewithMBT beautiful job... what temperature level did you use?
I tried it but I could peel it off. Maybe I did something wrong
There is nothing to peel off so I am not sure what you mean?
Hooked for Life with Mary Beth Temple I peeled off modge podge
The Mod Podge doesn’t get peeled off. The whole point of baking it is so it dried clear and can stay in there!
Watching this is 2022, nowadays you can use Elmer's clear glue, it works just like mod podge and does better when adding color because it's clear - does not make the colors lighter.
But can you bake Elmer’s glue? Genuine question not snark :-)
@@hookedforlifewithMBT It's not really baking, it's just allowing it to dry quicker in the low heat - otherwise for mod podge or elmer's glue you just need to let it sit 24 hours or until dry - oven heating is the speedy way
