I got stuck on the gondola there, because of the severe winds that day, we were left dangling smack in the middle of the canyon and they had to reel us back in, I was about to have a hard attack 😂
We drove from Houston to Telluride last year, it was one of the best trips of my life. I've been looking at Colorado Springs for my next trip, will definitely have to do the train ride and this zipline!!!
May I use this footage in an informative video I'm making on the scariest fear-of-heights rides in the world? I will give you full credit for the footage in a visible caption in the video.
Thanks so much for watching, I'm glad you're enjoying my video. Please reach out to management to purchase license rights for usage. Jules@TravelingJules.com. THANK YOU!
Sure, he can stay at the gondola station which is where you will cross the gorge and zipline back. He can also ride the gondola across with you and ride back.
Beautiful Views! I'm looking at visiting next weekend, question... is the zip line rides unlimited for the ticket price or just for one ride across? $48 for a 1.5 minute ride not including $25.00 just to enter, seems steep.....If I wasn't paying more for everything, gas and hotel rooms, ect. And the food there from what I've researched is pricy too. Colorado is so expensive, how do regular families have fun or survive there?
I was just there today and it’s just for one ride. I didn’t get to do it though because of the high winds. I easily spent $200 today from the gorge and also the train ride plus food and now Im in financial ruin 🤣
@@AVHtribute I probably should have added more detail. I was told by a staff member that if you want to ride the zip line or gondola you should get there as soon as they open because the wind picks up around noon this time of year and then they shut it down but depending on weather they may reopen it. I rode the sky coaster because that’s all that was open & that cost $35 & if you want a video & pictures of yourself on the ride is $30 for a USB drive. The Royal Gorge train is 20 mins away and if you decide to go just get the basic coach ticket that’s $83 after tax. Everyone ends up in the same place anyway which is on the open cart to see the views. Food is not included and I think the cheapest entree item I saw was a turkey sandwich with chips that was $16 & drinks were $6 and up. I think the cheapest activity in Colorado is to go hiking, haha.
@@nellyj1547 Wow!!! Good advice. Yeah I have to calculate this by X2 and as a retired enlisted Marine, I've really got to be wise with the $$'s so you understand my dilemma. 😥 thank you again!
@@travelingjules I did something similar to this but it was something you would have to grab onto. It was ghetto because it was in Costa Rica. Search up Zipline near jurrasic park shoot.
I'm using a GoPro on a selfie stick but I had special permission to film this video, I'm not sure if they let people film on this ride, please check before you go!

Oh no! Yeah, gondolas often have to shut down due to high wind, so glad you got back to ground safely.
