omg yay finally a plant youtuber from sf!! so many of the ppl i’ve been watching are from the east coast so i’m glad to find someone from the same area as me!
That is a purple heart! 😍😍 I had mine outside and it it was a beautiful dark purple color. Brought it indoors for the summer(summer's in AZ are scorching hot) and it reverted to green! I was surprised to see it green.
Monstera adasonii grows the fastest out of all the plants I have, it literally puts at least 10" of new growth per vine every year. Once yours matures you'll have more than enough foliage and plenty to share ♡♡ love how you've decorated your home
I’m in love with the aesthetic of your apartment. I’m in the process of redoing my bedroom and it’s similar! I’m also obsessed with plants. I loved this video and I’m subbing!💗💗💗
I started a coleus from seed and just decided to bring it inside as a houseplant. I haven't seen anyone do this so I'm excited that you have them growing as trees!! So unique. My dieffenbachia (dumb cane) acted up on me this year but is now thriving and she's my absolute favorite!! Love your setup.
OMG BRIELLE!! Love this video and your energy - your home is beautiful. I've just this second posted my plant tour and I feel like taking it down after seeing yours! YOUR PLANTS ARE AMAZING!! x
Fun video! My first of yours. One of the tips I got for my String of Hearts was to make sure that the top is getting sun. A lot of us hang them high in a window, but sometimes they hang too high and the top is shaded by the top of the window or the wall/window treatment. That tip has been working well for me as I try to fill mine out, so I thought I would pass it on. :)
I'd wait longer before repotting the snake plant. It has lots of room and it likes to be a little root bound. I repotted one and it lost about half of it's leaves. Btw I love this!! I also live in sf and recognize the pots and plants from the nurseries I go to! Love your collection.
Yes, you are correct about the Snake Plant being a root bound plant. Mine is already super root bound at the bottom so I may go up just a little in size. Aww I'm sad to hear that you lost some leaves, plants are so picky sometimes and require a lot of trial and error but that's also part of the fun and learning experience! Thank you for watching, I always love to hear from fellow San Franciscans.
Your Pilea baby tears are beautiful! Great tour! Gorgeous plants! I, too, shared a houseplant tour recently. We have a lot of the same plants. I really like the way you styled your houseplants. 🌱👏🏽😊
First I have to say your home and plants are so cute. And you are absolutely adorable 💖 really hope you keep making videos! I ordered a cebu online too, half of it had rotted roots when I got it but I kept it in water and trimmed off the rotten roots and low and behold 6 months later its doing so well and starting to get bushy and trail. Dont lose hope! 💕
You have done a wonderful job your baby’s look well cared for and loved...great. Collection.your lighting seems to be great as well....great placement as well. Job well done...big smile to you...ladybug
I love this! I love seeing the plants up close and your home is beautiful! I can’t wait to see more and learn from you. I wanted to see everything well, so I waited all day until I could watch on the big screen tv instead of my phone. 😀
If you haven’t already propped your SOH you can also twist one of the vines around in the pot and pin near the leaves - it should grow roots and sprout a new growth point around that area!
Thank you! I had purchased the Dali clock for my husband at Urban Outfitters a few years back. I'm sure you could still find them on Amazon if not Urban Outfitters website. Thank you again for watching!
I'm in awe with how beautiful your plants are! What a wonderful collection..I am a plant mom too and I'm glad I found you! Your pilea is gorgeous! You deserve more subscribers...And I'm sure your channel will grow exponential in the coming weeks :) Keep planting!
What a lovely plant collection. Will you do a video on your care of your diffenbachia plants, and lipstick plant. Thoroughly enjoyed your video . Please increase video. It seems low. Thanks for sharing.
I have had the Pothos for a little of a year, but it already had a good amount of growth when I got it. If I had to guess it's maybe about 2 - 2.5 years old. My other plants range greatly from about 5 years to just a few weeks lol.
Lovee your living room set up! How much weight do you think those command strips could hold? I was considering using those for my hanging plants but wasn't sure if they would be too heavy
The command strip packaging will say how much weight it can hold but I always try to use the strongest ones. Once the plants get bigger I will screw a hook into the ceiling just to be safe.
Love love your boho vibe....so me too! Very nice collection. I just purchased a hoya retusa it's my 1st hoya the leaves are turning yellow...any tips on soil and placement? It's in ceramic in a brightly lit room with an east facing window.
Hmmm, I would try putting it in a place where it gets even more light. Mine is in a west facing window so it gets a lot of light from about 1pm to sunset. I just use regular potting soil for mine. It could just be the amount of light its getting.
@@briellemariesandra Ty. Most of the yellowing stems weren't rooted. Saved what I could, but they are still dying I actually contacted the seller and they replaced it for me. Hoping for a better outcome. Such a cute plant💚🌱
@@briellemariesandra The replacement retusa looks so much better, it's only been a week hoping for a better outcome this time🤞. Would love to see you do a video on DIY pots. I love terracotta, just wish they'd make different shapes available inexpensively at big box stores....lol. I get pots/cache pots mainly from thrift shops. Do you make your macrame hangers, they all look cohesive? I started making my own, but it is somewhat time consuming. For height I use candle holders as plant stands😉. Thanks for the response and lovely content.💚🌱
So glad I found your channel!! Where do you shop?? I especially love all the hanging pots and baskets you're using. I've been buying plants from The Mellow in the Mission!
I am all over with my pot shopping! lol. For pots I do thrift a lot of them, I also get a lot of them at The Home Depot. A good amount of my pots are just things from around my house that I turned into a pot. Other stores I like to go to for pots is Flower Craft near Bernal, The Berkeley Horticultural Nursery out in Berkeley. OOOO I just heard about The Mellow and that is on my list for my next trip.
Yes it is a purple heart the more bright sunlight you give it the more purple it gets. Actually if you put it in direct sunlight in the summer it turns purple . The sun will not hurt it. Oh and I love your plant collection btw. Beautiful you take good care of then
@@briellemariesandra you're so welcome you have bout as many plants as I have. I love how you have them Placed in your home where it doesn't look overwhelming and cluttered 👍 good job ☺
I have a couple questions 😊 I noticed you had a couple plants near your electric fireplace.. are they ok when you have it on? Or do you move them., second I love the plant behind you in your bedroom in last couple mins of your video! Can you tell me what it is 😊 Love your videos, very calming and you have lovely plants ❤️😊
They are low enough to where the heat from the fireplace doesn't really hit them or harm them. If I happen to have a taller plant next to it then yes I will move it before I turn it on. & the plant that your talking about is my Bamboo plant which im posting a Care video about tomorrow! Stay tuned!
This video is fantastic, and so are your plants! I just wanted to mention, the audio is quite quiet, i had to turn my volume almost all the way up. Just something to keep in mind. Good luck growing!
Great question! No, not usually. I will thoroughly inspect them to ensure that there are no pests. If it does have pests I will treat it and quarantine it until I see improvement.
