Full Title: Natural Selection in the Human Genome
May 4, 2023 - Rasmus Nielsen, Ph.D., studies statistical and population genetic analyses of genomic data, association mapping and methods for detecting natural selection, describing population genetic variation and inferring demography. In this presentation, he talks about his current research concerns about the statistical analysis of next-generation sequencing data in medical and population genetics. He is particularly interested in the molecular basis of evolutionary adaptation.
