Do you mean you play it slower? I think there is a tendency for quite 'sweet' sounding tunes to get slowed down when they work well fast and sound sweet that way anyway. This is one of them for sure. I think it sounds good either way btw though some tunes I think really suffer from the slowing down. Red Prairie Dawn is the best example I can think of.
The higher up the monkey climbs The higher up the monkey climbs The higher up the monkey climbs The more he shows his big behind The higher up the mountainside The greener grows the grass The higher up the monkey climbs The more he shows his arse The higher up the mountainside The cleaner is the air The higher up the monkey climbs The more he shows his derriere The higher up the mountainside The more the town looks tiny The higher up the monkey climbs The more he shows his heinie The higher up the mountainside You see more natural beauty And if the monkey climbs ahead You’ll see his big patootie And if the monkey lags behind Give him a nice big push And when the monkey’s up ahead You’ll see his great big tush Climbing up the mountainside with monkey as the leader He climbs up high and shows his arse Ta-da-da-daddadadadeeda
Great playing
Thanks, always liked this one!
Nice . . . different tempo than I play it, never heard the lyric before. Cheers.

Could you print the lyrics . . . thats cool 😎
The higher up the monkey climbs
The higher up the monkey climbs
The higher up the monkey climbs
The more he shows his big behind
The higher up the mountainside
The greener grows the grass
The higher up the monkey climbs
The more he shows his arse
The higher up the mountainside
The cleaner is the air
The higher up the monkey climbs
The more he shows his derriere
The higher up the mountainside
The more the town looks tiny
The higher up the monkey climbs
The more he shows his heinie
The higher up the mountainside
You see more natural beauty
And if the monkey climbs ahead
You’ll see his big patootie
And if the monkey lags behind
Give him a nice big push
And when the monkey’s up ahead
You’ll see his great big tush
Climbing up the mountainside
with monkey as the leader
He climbs up high and shows his arse
Ta-da-da-daddadadadeeda
