Great list! 1st time chiming in for me since subscribing after a recommendation from Robert Fithen YT Ch. Have to comment on my favorite from 1998 which is Nuetral Milk Hotel's "In the Areoplane over the Sea", such a tremendous record, give it a listen when you have 40 minutes to spare! . 👍😜👍
@@carlomarinello7048 I have heard about that album for years and have yet to listen to it. I will have to put that on my list. Thank you for your comments and for subscribing!!
@@shortfuseartstudio he’s so great. I want to see the movie but I don’t think I’ll be able to. I have a very big fear of all things monkey/gorilla related. I couldn’t even get through the trailer!
I think you might enjoy 'Got no shadow' (1998) by Mary Lou Lord. Especially since you like Juliana Hatfield. It was Mary Lou's debut on a major label. She was friends with Kurt Cobain and many Riot Grrrl bands and artists like Lois Maffeo. She doesn't sound punk of grunge at all, though. She's a busker, but changed things up for 'Got no shadow'. Maybe you know her already, but if not, check out 'Got no shadow'. And her early single 'His indie world', it's catchy.
Nice one Craig. I felt sure you would include Belle and Sebastian's 'The Boy With the Arab Strap'. I love that record. A couple of other albums that stood out for me in 98 were... Boards of Canada's 'Music Has the Right to Children' and maybe 'Moon Safari' by Air. Oh and Mark Hollis' solo album. Cheers - D
@@David-Ellis I have none of those! Sadly I only have a couple Belle & Sebastian and that is not one of them. Once again something I need to remedy. Thank you as always for watching!
i like morcheeba and have a bunch of their records but i neglect them - a few others for me to investigate - beautiful south bought debut and never got anymore 0 ray of light 0 yes had that - huge amount of cheap cassettes here in thailand and i bought a few hundred in 98 for peanuts ray of light is ok

Robbie Williams is one of my favorite singers. I can't wait for his movie to come out next month!

@CraigsVinylPlethora So if you cover the 2000's I assume we won't see Gorillaz. 😆

Nice to see The Cardigans pop up. It would be hard for me to chose my favorite album by them: 'Gran Turismo' or 'Long gone before daylight'.
@@Wout.vlmnck those are my two favorite albums!

Everyone needs some Morchebba in their lives. I so forgot how we came across them.
