Probaby stating the obvious here, but your CCC videos are far superior to any I've seen on RUclips. Love how in-depth you go into the process of everything you make. Another tremendous video, sir....don't ever stop!
He should make a cook book.
What? videos over 30 minutes are not the "norm" Heck, I will watch unlimited hours of video from KW Waterman!! #Respect
So true 😂
Had a great time diving with you!
love your channel
Great Trip Man! Pleasure Having You Out Looking Forward To Some Diving In The Near Future!
what type of boat was that?
@@pacificcoastangler1256 Island Hopper
You sold me on La Jolla Resort when you described it as "old Florida." I have been on a mission to find the few remaining old Florida spots. Just booked my stay!
Our son lives in Florida and I think this would be a lovely getaway for him and his wife. Going on 13 years for them! You'll get the fish next time Aaron! Have a wonderful week you two!
Takes a humble human to admit ur off, much respect! Exactly why I watch you as well as my love for the keys! Never spear fished in my life, so impressed watching you dive at depth and then shoot a moving fish point blank. Id say being on vaca probably had something to do with the inaccuracy. Wishing you and your wife much success. 🤘
MAYBE DIDN'T TAKE PRACTICE SHOTS LIKE A BOW HUNTER DO!!!!!!
REMEMBER TRANSPORTATION OF EQUIPMENT MEANS START ALL OVER AND PRACTICE SHOTS!!!!👌😎😎😎
Shoutout Taku! Outdoor chef life /Keywest waterman collab needs to happen! 🤘
Wonderful!
With all this talk about archer and arrow I thought you were gonna go back with no fish… yet you bring back a boatload of snappers!!😂 don’t beat yourself too hard man! And good job on the sushi and taking care of your missus… impressed!
These spearfishing videos are my favorite! Keep them coming and thanks for sharing with us!
Looks like an awesome vacation. Well deserved. Keep up the great work guys!!!!
Great video, again! I look forward to your weekly installments. Always something to see.
Holy shizzer!!!! That's one loaded spot!!
Your video comes at the perfect time. Had a day on the water yesterday, and missed two, what felt like point blank shots. Some days you're on it, and some days you're not. Feels good to remember that we're all capable of mistakes. Thanks!!
❤no thank you❤‼️ Best video in a long time, and The cooking and eating was the best part!🐟🐠
Great spots and spearfishing. Love the Keys.
That place is on my bucket list now. Thanks for sharing!
As always thank you for takin us along mate! So many stinking groupers..holy crap! Don't get down on the missplaced shots(I've seen your shooting ..your're dang good) fish in the boat is food in the belly I says Yarrrrr❤
Beautiful beautiful place!!
Taku would be proud, amazing spread 🔥
It's great to be back❤
That is some fine looking eats! Very healthy too. And the best part is you know where it came from and how the fish was handled. Cheers!
Great video! I need to see a video on that boat... Sounds and looks awesome!
YES outdoor chef lives sushi rice recipe is so good
That was awesome. That Sushi looks amazing!
I’ve seen CJ before somewhere. Reminds me of what a small world it is in the spear fishing family ♥️ Great video Dibbs
Might of been a longer video but absolutely loved it! Do what you do I will watch them all!
Hey Uncle Aaron great video!! Really nice new truck! Really big step up from the old grey one. So happy for you both
40:19 Exactly. Let them cook longer. They’ll tell you when it’s time to flip. What an epic day diving ! Everyone has an off day; next time! Have a Blessed Night 😊
My Grandparents took take me to the key"s back in the 80's and 90's and it was AWESOME! Will have to check out that resort. Thanks!
I feel your frustration. As a hunter, there are always a couple of days each year where I just can’t get the muscles to work right & have a lousy day. On those days I just tell myself I would rather have a bad day in the field than a good day in the office. Those days just make me appreciate the outdoors, the beauty of nature, & the good days that much more. Awesome footage and video!!
Aaron looks like an Island Hopper your on. Almost bought one years back. Keep up great content.
Hey Aaron and Madeleine!
Another incredible video! Thank you👍
Try not to beat yourself up too much,Aaron…….everyone has an off day. La Jolla looks amazing and so does your sushi!! 🍣
Love that you two get most of your protein yourselves……very cool 😎
Thanks for the video
Fun video! Food looks amazing!❤
Enjoyable as always ✊🏽💯
I haven't had a chance to watch this yet, but will. Just wanted to say quickly the title is pure life.
You two are awsome, love all your videos.
Great videos. Long time fan. With cooking the rice in the skillet. You just have to cook it longer. Once it’s ready the rice will release from the pan. If it sticks it’s not ready it’s just as simple as that. Looks good
Love the @OutdoorChefLife shoutout. Would be an epic collab one day...just sayin' 😁
Love the comment on … beside the boat, fuel, trip cost, it’s cheaper to make sushi at home🤣🤣🤣 another brilliant vid, best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧 🙏🏻
It happens bro as you rightly said, it's a mental game. Some days are just better than the other
You got them penned up, or something had me dying. Lol😂
Most Excellent episode
Another Great Video! (I have found that if I spray skillets and utensils with Pam before adding oil or butter less chance of sticking.) You have become quite the chef dude.
🤗👍really wonderful and relaxing viewing!
We have stayed at bob mitchell village next door for decades. Got my first bonefish last year - love the show. Always look forward to Mondays
LMFAO DECAD FOR BONE FISH 🐠???WTF DUDE IS THAT ON YOUR OWN OR GUIDES TRIPS????😂😂😂
@@BIGMACK-sf6up never target bone. Always targeted tarpon and lobster. My own boat, no guide. You’re a weird dude that assumes way too much
Man im pretty sure i stayed there as a kid in like 2005 with my family on a vacation. Thought that jetty/dock looked mighty familiar, particularly the pillar.
Wow. Beautiful
Great video. Thanks
La Jolla means the jewel in Spanish, so the place is named right. It looks awesome.
As far as the snook fishin' goes, they're finicky strange fish. If they're not hungry they're very hard to catch. Don't feel bad. I always did best with live bait, tiny weights and hooks, and an outgoing tide.
The reef footage was awesome, it really is beautiful down there. Hope I can get back sometime. Thanks for sharing the adventure.
Yall are soooooo cute !!!!! Madeline NEEDS to talk MORE !!!!!
I think spearfishing is like many sports, some days you play great, get in a zone and can't miss. Other days you feel great but you play average. You surely are very good at what you do, great video.
Love your videos and love archer or the arrow I’m not sure how many times I’ve said that to myself
Hunting or fishing it’s one of the best metaphors for stuff like that I’ve ever heard…although it usually is the archer sadly 😂
Very cool video, never seen that many big grouper in one spot
Used to go there as a kid. It’s changed a bunch over the years. Hope to make it down there again soon.
Aaron, take your gheenoe up to flamingo and you will catch your snook. Use artificial shrimp and skip them up under the mangroves on a falling tide.
LOVED LOVED LOVED seeing Tipsy!!! The vid was great too…lol.
Very good looking sushi presentation. You are correct in that the rice is key in sushi. My Japanese mom always uses a sushi rice vinegar in powder form. Lots of different manufacturers make a Sushinoko product. In my biased opinion my mom's sushi rice is the best. Thanks for the video.
try scooting the rice pucks gently when you place them in the pan, just for a couple seconds. this will heat the rice up enough to get them to start steaming in the oil. steam keeps them from sticking. or make sure your cast iron pan is super slick. easier to scoot IMO.
Your sushi skills getting better Aaron! I'm glad to see you aren't smooshing the rice on the nori. Looking delicious.
You are the only person i would ever consider going spear fishing with having never done it and slightly afraid of diving. I used to not have any fear of being in the ocean but San Diego waters have little to no visibility
Metal fish spatula for the crust on the fried rice! You have to scrape up the crust!! And leave them there to fry they will lift when there ready😁😊😊😊😊
Very familiar with the area wasn’t aware of the resort. A must do. Thx.
The sushi looked so good 🤤
great time,cool
Aaron…..great video as usual! Hey, what line set up would you recommend for the saragosa 8000 for reef fishing? As always, thx!
That old Keys feeling is something I miss. I spent a lot of time at Bud & Marys working on the charter boats there and exploring the area around Alligator Reef Light. RIP Capt Allan Starr, ran a Ricky Scarborough 'SightSea'r' out of there.
Don't feel bad about the snook. They're wily critters.
It's called Kentucky windage brother... Thank you for posting.
Oh man, I gotta try “the crunchies” that looks good! Solid sushi spread, that’s pro level!
I just want to hand you two a napkin. LOL Great video
Great catch
Looks like a nice new 🛻.
Perhaps a spatula instead of those tongs for the crunchy rice cakes. Nice video and recipes. Thanks!
That is an ok Yellow Tail.... we got some Logs for Yellow tails in the Southern Caribbean.
Generally shallow fried foods stick to the pan for two reasons.. You were right about the first, you probably flipped to early. But more importantly you want that oil and pan real hot when you add. Try heating your oil close to smoke point before you add the fish. You can turn it down after to avoid burning but don't drop it too low or they will stuck when you flip.
Woohoo🎉
I love how you called it snorkel captions 😂
My freind is a great sushi maker! Makes me proud to be his freind! He makes sushi basically everyday. ❤😂
Awesome time! Let’s do it again soon 🎉
Aaron, the amount of sharks you see diving is incredible. I've seen your video "Never dive alone" which was pretty scary.
Any other close calls with those toothy monsters?
Great video
Yo Erin - i will definitely come to see you if/when i can get to Florida.
Aaron*
You should try kimchi base along with sriracha sauce along with Japanese mayo and sesame oil for your spicy roll. It makes it more flavorful and tastes better than most sushi restaurants.
17:41, they were chillin and hangin out because.....they know. They just do.
I'm jealous, still have a bout a month before jumping into the green, cold water up here in New England. Love the food follow ups, we also spearfish for what we like to eat not bragging rights. You guys and Will are giving me some great inspiration to try new things and experiment. Thanks!!!
One question: what is the sauce you guys put on the Wahoo on Jake's boat?
Grouper Season tomorrow! Just like Christmas morning....lol
Sooo good! I remember I was gonna head out for tuna one day and sharpened my spear the night before, ended up hitting the reef instead and just shooting high cause I sharpened one facet (tri tip) slightly longer then the others 🤦🏽♂️ shot a fish that was rare to the area really high which tore off in 2 seconds. (Fish would be fine since it was so super high the shot thankfully, will just look like a bottle opener at the top) Since then I never trust my sharpening skills 😂
That was an insane amount of Grouper.
Awesome 😊
Hey hun, when the pisscakes do you think you’ll make that fish identification video? Thanks man, great vids!
You forgot your lucky socks, or something in your normal was different and your reaction time was just a little slow. When I am shooting really well I am doing everything exactly the same. Starting with breakfast ending with pulling the trigger. If I change something or have a bad night, I can not get in the zone. Great video, and I like the longer format even if not everyone has time for it.
My uncle got a wreck map for his house in cudjo key. Its amazing how many there are. It makes me wonder how many were scuttled and how many went down with sailors aboard..
That shark would've scares the shit outta me..great vid brother
Aaron, try using a greased spatula when turning your fried rice patties. Super video. Take care bro.
Man a bad day for me is whiff everything. I hope I can get to where a bad day is catching fish
I'm always impressed with your free diving abilities Aaron. How deep can you drop and how long can you hold your breath? I can make it to the bottom of my pool for like 20 seconds, lol.
KWW Mesh Flex Fit
WANTED!!! ❤ been sold out. B DAY COMING SOON asked wife , for kww hat for b day. 😊
Man there were a lot of groupers in there...Question: What thickness wetsuit do you recommend for all year round in the keys, 3 mm or 5 mm? Thank you.
Aaron, my tuba professor in college gave me the Inner Game of Tennis to read by Tim Gallwey. Kind of a metaphorical look into not psyching yourself out over mistakes using tennis as the storyline. It helped. Check it out. It's a nice quick read, perfect for your deck during sunset. And besides...you aint got nothin to worry about cuz. Your game is strong.
