    Takes a humble human to admit ur off, much respect! Exactly why I watch you as well as my love for the keys! Never spear fished in my life, so impressed watching you dive at depth and then shoot a moving fish point blank. Id say being on vaca probably had something to do with the inaccuracy. Wishing you and your wife much success. 🤘

    I feel your frustration. As a hunter, there are always a couple of days each year where I just can’t get the muscles to work right & have a lousy day. On those days I just tell myself I would rather have a bad day in the field than a good day in the office. Those days just make me appreciate the outdoors, the beauty of nature, & the good days that much more. Awesome footage and video!!

    La Jolla means the jewel in Spanish, so the place is named right. It looks awesome.
    As far as the snook fishin' goes, they're finicky strange fish. If they're not hungry they're very hard to catch. Don't feel bad. I always did best with live bait, tiny weights and hooks, and an outgoing tide.
    The reef footage was awesome, it really is beautiful down there. Hope I can get back sometime. Thanks for sharing the adventure.

    Very good looking sushi presentation. You are correct in that the rice is key in sushi. My Japanese mom always uses a sushi rice vinegar in powder form. Lots of different manufacturers make a Sushinoko product. In my biased opinion my mom's sushi rice is the best. Thanks for the video.

  • @BlayneCoffey
    @BlayneCoffey 17 дней назад

    try scooting the rice pucks gently when you place them in the pan, just for a couple seconds. this will heat the rice up enough to get them to start steaming in the oil. steam keeps them from sticking. or make sure your cast iron pan is super slick. easier to scoot IMO.

    Generally shallow fried foods stick to the pan for two reasons.. You were right about the first, you probably flipped to early. But more importantly you want that oil and pan real hot when you add. Try heating your oil close to smoke point before you add the fish. You can turn it down after to avoid burning but don't drop it too low or they will stuck when you flip.

    Sooo good! I remember I was gonna head out for tuna one day and sharpened my spear the night before, ended up hitting the reef instead and just shooting high cause I sharpened one facet (tri tip) slightly longer then the others 🤦🏽‍♂️ shot a fish that was rare to the area really high which tore off in 2 seconds. (Fish would be fine since it was so super high the shot thankfully, will just look like a bottle opener at the top) Since then I never trust my sharpening skills 😂

    Aaron, my tuba professor in college gave me the Inner Game of Tennis to read by Tim Gallwey. Kind of a metaphorical look into not psyching yourself out over mistakes using tennis as the storyline. It helped. Check it out. It's a nice quick read, perfect for your deck during sunset. And besides...you aint got nothin to worry about cuz. Your game is strong.
