Here’s what happened when I sent out a VIDEO CARD mail campaign 🎥

  • Earlier this year, I decided to send out a small batch of video cards to the neighbors around my property.
I was trying to change the zoning of this property from residential to commercial, and I knew that one of the biggest "wild cards" that can impact the success of a zoning change is the neighbors (if a neighbor isn't happy about the idea, they can easily create some big problems in the rezoning process).
One way to circumvent this is to contact the neighbors ahead of time (before requesting the zoning change) to tell them what you're hoping to do, why you're trying to do this, and how it will have a positive impact on them and their property. The idea is - if they have any issues with the zoning change, you want them to complain directly to YOU, so YOU can deal with the issues rather than having the problems arise at the public hearing to change the zoning.
As I thought more and more about how to approach my neighbors, I remembered a website called Cards In Motion. It's a Canadian-based company that sells video cards. When the recipient opens their card, they'll see a small device that automatically starts playing a video.
I thought video cards would be a GREAT way for me to say exactly what I wanted to say, exactly how I wanted to say it, in a friendly, pre-made message that delivered good information and requested feedback.
I ordered 10 cards from the company (normally they require a minimum order of 50, but they made an exception for me because I had promoted the company in the past) which cost me $825.21. I got a 7-inch LCD screen on a white card, so I could insert a short written message along with the video. I also wrote "HELLO NEIGHBOR!" on the cover of each card.
In this video, I'll show you what it was like to work with these cards, what the results were, and I'll even show you the actual video message I sent out to each recipient.

Just thought I would share this with you. Found what seems to be the same style card you paid about $80 each for 1/10th the price. If you do more, maybe you can save on larger order. All the best with the self storage facility. I am new to Pennsylvania from California working as a truck driver but been following you for a while. I hope to start doing some land deals soon in this market that is much more affordable. God bless.

Great to know, Mingo! Thanks for following along! Where are you finding these cheaper video cards? I wonder what makes them so much less expensive?

@@Retipster hey Seth, nice to hear from you. It's on Alibaba. I have purchased from them several times and never had an issue. However, you need to account for lead time as it comes from China and deal with a Verified Supplier also I would only communicate through the message center and pay with trade assurance. If I can be of any assistance to you, feel free to contact any time.

Those campaigns really work well although you need someone experienced to manage them and make it profitable.
