How was he a 'simp' when it was Lily who had first been chasing after him and he was letting her go after him? Also, I don't know what you are considering cheating to be since there isn't any clear indications that she was cheating over the 5yrs as the only time we get any mention of another guy potentially in the middle of their relationship is a gaming buddy that she consoled briefly, however even that wasn't at all any clear certainty that she had been showing interest in other guys. So, really there isn't any clear indications that she had been cheating at all though it is possible that she was. Also, even if she was cheating that doesn't mean that he was trying to chase after her affection because he didn't exactly need it. Chasing after someone's feelings and trying to process and resolve issues are two different things because one involves trying to keep what you have because you believe you don't have any other options whereas the other involves getting away from what is perceptively a bad and toxic situation. @@Rawhi.7 You can make baseless claims all you want, but in the end you have no proof that the MC was a simp/dormat. After all, problems can arise spontaneously just like cheating. I am not denying that she could have been cheating. I am simply stating that there is no clear evidence that she was cheating nor was there any clear evidence that the MC put up with nonsense for 5 years. All we know was that there was 1 year where the woman was chasing after the MC's heart, and we know nothing about what happened with the woman in the following years leading up to the day before the wedding. We don't know if she started any bullshit randomly to sh*t test the MC, nor do we know if she actually cheated. All we know is that her best friend convinced her to distance her heart and mind from the MC at some point, probably sometime in the final year leading up to the wedding day and she took that advice. We also know that instead of trying to gently console the MC, she only consoled her gaming buddy which happened to be a dude. There is no evidence to support that she met up with that dude in person while she and the MC were dating.
