This was a video on testing the fuel pump… not a video on how a multimeter works. Continuity is a resistance value and your meter would be set to Ohms or resistance mode. The beep indicates I have the continuity beep alert turned on. There are plenty of videos on RUclips showing how to use a multimeter. Maybe you should start there.
So, for those of us yryingbbto diagnose a different fuel pump, what are the pinouts you are testing. I have two fuel pumps on my bench. They have a single positive and single negative terminal. One has continuity between them, the other does not. I would have thought continuity would mean a short in the pump (bad) .
You would need to look up the specs for your vehicle’s fuel pump. This should be obvious if you get a new fuel pump or look at your own and the connector is different than what I have.
Best multimeter video on youtube!
Glad you think so!
Thanks for showing what settings to turn to test wires.

What about with 2 probs?
I’m not sure what you are asking.

You would have to look at the schematic for your specific pump. It’s been too long ago to remember and I don’t have the truck anymore lol.

I tried that but it doesn't work
What doesn’t work?
you say that ''How to Test The Fuel Pump on Any Car or Truck''. do all fuel pumps have 4 wires and the same positions [2 bottoms, 2 tops]???
