I keep seeing Julius Belmont doing that epic and badass "Grand Cross" Item Crash attack. Despite Soma claiming Julius (55) was "holding back", he destroyed part of the damn castle itself just performing the move. How damn powerful was a younger Julius when he fought and defeated Dracula in 1999?!
Picture this: Julius can TAS his way through Akatsuki no Minuet in under 5 minutes. 7:32, if you’re terrible like me, but that’s still pretty impressive.
We should remember also that Julius wasn't even targeting the castle when he did it, and had it focused entirely on Soma and despite being a mile away about he did it by accident. And we should also acknowledge that Dracula's Castle is made from his own infinite dimension of Chaos and is an intrusion of that dimension into the real world, so Julius ACCIDENTALLY crumbling it like that from a mile away with a Grand Cross attack focused entirely on Soma while HOLDING BACK is a shit ton more impressive than most people even realize.
As much as this game made me want to tear my whole head off from how STUPIDLY difficult it was (the continue limit didn't help matters), I can't deny it had an awesome soundtrack
KyuuStarr Personally hoping it’s the version with Heart of Fire mixed in that made he cut, but if not I’m fine with this. Judging from the order in which it appeared in the list I’m guessing it’s not, but hey, if they were able to use the Harmony of Dissonance version of Nothing to Lose...
*+Rexaura888* Would have been called "Heart of Fire" if it was, as that is what that version is titled. It's quite possible they could add "Heart of Fire" but it's safe to assume it will be the NES original. *+KyuuStarr* And don't forget "Can't" Wait Until Night made it into Ultimate, not "Don't" Wait Until Night. It could be the version from Aria of Sorrow, but I'd like to assume they're just titling it that due to the fact its name changed in that game. Title changes occur a lot in the Castlevania series, such as the Crissagrim being changed to Valmanway. It would be a real shame if "Heart of Fire" from Harmony of Despair is absent, given it's the second most popular song in the game.
Haunted Castle is being re-released for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox one and PS4 in a collection of classic Konami Arcade games also there is a Contra Classic Collection and a Castlevania anniversary collection.

Oh of course Heart Of Fire in Harmony Of Despair is the perfect one. The first time I saw there was a Heart Of Fire theme in HoD I was like "NO WAY IS THAT THIS HEART OF FIRE ?!" and yes it was
Cross your fingers that "Can't Wait Until Night" is this version of the song and not the one from Aria of Sorrow for Ultimate. Or better yet, the remix from Harmony of Despair, as it has way more of Don't Wait Until Dawn in it than it does Heart of Fire and sounds incredible.
Considering most of the Castlevania tracklist has a remix in Harmony, it's likely that's the version they're going with, likely for the clean remix audio goodness.
Huh...the song intro sounds a lot like the beginning of a Contra 3 level. I wonder if the same music composer did both this arcade game and the soundtrack for Contra 3.
its actually my fav castlevania game. i haven't played much of dawn of sorrow, due to my computer being SUPER shitty and nintendo ds emulators lagging like hell on it, even on the lowest settings
I know about that but Heart of Fire is still the title to the song in Aria of Sorrow. I guess they chose to stick with Heart of Fire because the name seems to fit with Aria of Sorrow more than Don't Wait Until Night.

I get this mental image of a preparation montage with Belmont tying his headband, coiling his whip and sharpening his sword on a grindstone.
Yellowblanka And the rest of it is just Belmont kicking monster ass as he makes his way to Dracula’s castle
It would seem an individual had thoughts similar to mine in the past. Surprising.
Sword Goes To Show You That Haunted Castle was wierd
Basically the rondo intro. No cutscene ever got my hype and testosterone pumping more.
Yeah, it’s called the intro for Operation Wolf.

Was this some kind of a prophet comment or what?
I dig how triumphant this theme sounds. I love the later versions where it merges into Heart Of Fire, but it loses a bit of the air this one has.
This version says "keep pushing onwards". The Heart of Fire version(s) say "GET THAT MOTHERFUCKER".
I agree wholeheartedly.
I love this sound chip. It's rich, bassy and drenched in beautiful reverb
