There's quite a lot of videos on this J2 juicer, but I find it disturbing to see many people in comment sections reporting faulty parts and claiming warranty replacements, given this is so new. I wonder if it is just user error or weak points in the juicer?
I bought my VSJ 6 years ago. (nama hasn’t even been around that long) The on/off switch part broke a few weeks back. Omega sent me a Brand New VSJ within a week and they took care of shipping the old one and the new one. nama’s parts warranty is only 2 years and I’ve read you are responsible for shipping after the first year. Read the fine print people! OMEGA FOR THE WIN!
I agree. Mine had the same problem, the on/off switch was broken. They replaced the whole machine of course mainly because of COVID. But regardless, they honored their warranty and fixed the issue.
You’re 100% right! I didn’t take this into consideration with my first post here. The Nama has some good points but the 2 year warranty for such an expensive item is really a deal breaker.
It may be my VSJ bias but based on the points most important to me (warranty, ease of use, yield, flavor) the VSJ wins in 3 of the 4 categories. I’m also a leafy green juicer. I tend to do spinach and/or kale with pineapple and green apples. Hearing that the VSJ does better with leafy greens is another notch in the win column. I do love the idea of a decreased prep time. It taking a bit longer to clean isn’t a bad trade off at all if it means not having to cut fruit and veggies into tiny pieces. That said, if cutting fruit/veggies into tiny pieces means higher yield and a more robust flavor then I’m willing to make that sacrifice. And finally there’s the warranty. I haven’t had to use mine yet but the rubber flap on my VSJ is beginning to tear, so, I may be having to use it soon. After having my juicer for 3 years it’s good to know I’ve got another 12 before being out of luck. The Nama J2 seems like a fine juicer, especially being so similar to the VSJ in so many ways. I’m sure it will serve plenty people very well. But for me, having less prep time and being able to dump massive amounts of produce in at one time (as wonderful as that sounds) doesn’t justify giving up on a 15 yr warranty, a higher juice yield and a more robust flavor (and I need my leafy greens). VSJ843 gets the dub, IMO.
Great commentary, you could be an excellent RUclips reviewer! . IMHO, John really should give at least an acknowledgement to your lengthy and insightful commentary, even though his perspective may be slightly different.
Been using the J2 for a month straight, I make about 64oz juice a day (2 quart containers). I juice leafy greens, citrus fruits, lots of celery, root vegetables, and watermelon with the green rind. So far so good. I mainly chose the J2 is because it cuts down on prep time. Most of the vegetables I juice will only require 1 cut at most (if the product is too long). As many say, the best juicer is the one you use. And for my lazy self, the J2 works for me. Only downside about the J2 is that they charge a ton for international shipping.
I have the omega u convinced me few years back - I don’t mind the chopping/ feeding I like to have the better quality juice and the sleeker design, quality over speed for me.. We were in contact with Nick (mostly) then when nothing happened there came a Julia, next, then someone I forgot the name as it was just once and last it was Erin. Poor Omega.. my good ole previously top juicer (Omega 3) is no longer recommended... sad... oh well... 15 years later it is still going strong and I dont' mind chopping some veggies up to dump in... takes whole carrots easily, same for celery... quarter apples... it is still great!!
My mama juices juicy fruit better than any juicer and I have been juicing with various juicers for over 45 years. But the nama parts have continued to break and it’s not PBA approved. My Nama juicer is so broken up I need to throw it away. Because I loved it I recommend it and clients who juice a lot have been having the same issues. The angel is way way way better but doesn’t juice watermelon well
Good movie, but I see that you are talking about fruit sugar as harmful, nothing could be more wrong, it is a completely different substance than table sugar or artificial fructose syrups etc.
Please watch my video why fruit juice is not as bad as you think.. that being said, i believe vegetable juicers are superior. ruclips.net/video/Z-roisAZ9yE/видео.html
@@discountjuicers No problem, I am familiar with the subject, and in this video you say directly that fruit sugar is harmful. In my opinion, fruit, fresh fruit juices and whether natural honey are natural and the best food for humans and they do not harm us at all. Vegetables are also great - in the form of juice they are very nutritious food and if eaten whole they are indigestible, we will only absorb as much as we squeeze in our mouth, and the rest will pass through the digestive system undigested, cleansing it, therefore vegetables are called "intestine brush".
we can never get good things in Australia!! I tried to look this up.. $215USD SHIPPING which is $310 for me on top of $714AUD... doubles the price from $500 to a $1k juicer. I'm so sad!! You sold me on it

My nama J2 keeps on getting jammed with pineapple pulp and it is very annoying. Any suggestions to fix this problem? Thank you
Yes. Tips: 1. select the most hard and firm pineapple to juice. Soft ones can jam worse.
2. Cut up pineapple properly. cut out the core (center of pineapple) and cut the outside flesh (non-core pieces) into chunks. then slice up core into 1/4" slices as the core can help prevent and cause clogging so it should be mixxed when loading the hopper with the non-core pieces.

Ripest, sweetest, best tasting pineapple is inherently softer.
Peel the soft ripe pineapple.
Stand it upright on cutting board.
Wear clean rubber or vinyl gloves.
Cut THIN vertical slices off the perimeter.
This cuts through the pineapple fibers,
Keep turning the pineapple as you remove thin slices.
Juice the thin slices.

After a video of yours about the Nama JuicerJ2, almost 2 months we are trying to purchase a NamaJ2.
Once paid we were directed to Nama again and there we got the message something went wrong at their side, over and over again.
For two months the mails went back and forth and it seemed something was wrong with the website of Nama as it didn't allow the shipping to Curaçao.
We were in contact with Nick (mostly) then when nothing happened there came a Julia, next, then someone I forgot the name as it was just once and last it was Erin.
After a very long wait Erin wrote us today she put the problem in the hands of someone higher in the company. I do hope this problem will be solved SOON now.
Maybe you can talk to the person you know there?
Why’d you even compete instead of starting at the same time. 🤦🏿♂️ it was gonna be perfect. Thanks for the in depth breakdown nonetheless
SO FUN GREAT JOB
What is a good juicer for pomegranate, beats
?????
The old Acme Juicerator 6001.
But make small amounts and drink right away.
Poor Omega.. my good ole previously top juicer (Omega 3) is no longer recommended... sad... oh well... 15 years later it is still going strong and I dont' mind chopping some veggies up to dump in... takes whole carrots easily, same for celery... quarter apples... it is still great!!
Do you mean the tried and true Omega 8003?
@@heliocentric9971 no, I have the Omega VRT ... solid piece of equipment.
The angel is way way way better but doesn’t juice watermelon well
Can I buy a nama j2 in canada?
OH NO JOHN! THEY'VE GOTTEN TO YOU TOO?!
Wow, a sub pop fan. He must listen to cool music.
What is a good juicer for beats and pomegranate thank you
I juiced both beets and pomegranate in the Nama J2 this week. It worked well.
we can never get good things in Australia!! I tried to look this up.. $215USD SHIPPING which is $310 for me on top of $714AUD... doubles the price from $500 to a $1k juicer. I'm so sad!! You sold me on it
introduce dude!
niko finish first 😂
The boy made this video tolerable
✨✨✨✨✨
it would be better if you tested leafy veggies than watery fruits. Videos could be better with less waist time. Asking your kid for opinion is a waste of time...
What the heck is “Hickman?”
It's called Jicama.
