@@CarnageRemixes Corey hasn't been a drug guy in years. He said in an interview several years ago that the only drugs he had done since 1989 was weed and mushrooms, and that was just a couple times. Drink was Corey's demon.
Thank you Corey this song takes me back to my early teens first hearing stone sour for the first time, but this time its sounds matured like a fine wine, like you good sir. Thank you for your music over the past 25 years your lyrics have guided me through a lot of shit throughout. Bless Ye
The instrumental arrangement for this enchanting. Such a beautiful musical partnership to a classic melancholy song and one of the world's greatest vocal icons.
This version really hammers home how much life changes but feelings and experiences can still stay the same. A tired pain, one you've learned to carry. The aftermath of many miles, years, and devestation. Its downright glorious. Coreys still my hero lol
The OG song was taken off algorithm i believe but 😢😮 Glad it's here I'm fighting demons still and I'm slowly getting closer to the window brother much love ❤
this is like a late in life reminiscence trip, i prefer this version to the original, but those vocals are still amazing because he had so much emotion in them.
I cant even with this dude....Really? If you aren't the best at everything you do, there isn't anyone who can. I wish you nothing but love and safe travels because you're a damn god.
I am the one who bothered me to leave.the departure is always expected to be far more sweet and ever revealing than be silenced and cowering down with the torturous rules of letting go.what will I do when no one is left except me.will I further.i will hold the jewels.and someone else will eat me raw.
This song is one of Corey's best ballads after Gently and Vermilion. Do not like songs like Snuff, felt like after Vol. 3 he went ott and a little more emo than grungey, but this here is an example of the good and is my kind of emotion. And this rendition is pretty interesting!
I can't believe this: This is not as good as the original song. The vocals sound disconnected from the message, and the musical accompaniment is too... pop rock circa 1995. It's like the same person sang this song, but is doing a poor cover of it. Like you weren't interested in singing it. It's not as gritty, and sounds significantly less emotional. Wow. I'm sorry Corey. This is a disappointing version of this song. You should re-listen to your original release to see what I mean. This one doesn't hit it. It's like you're a different person singing a song that's personal to someone else, and you didn't get what the song was about or care to connect with it. Which is not something I've ever heard from a song you've put out before. I'll stick with the original version. Sorry. Not trying to be mean. You're a legend in my lifetime. No one's perfect.
Great song for blasting down the highway in the middle of a cool night with the windows rolled down and a thunderstorm in the distance.
hell yeah
Agreed 🤘
I’m more used to the original though. Corey does sound better in this version.
The fact his voice sounds this clean after so many years of brutal screams is truly amazing 👏 🏆
he's completely off drugs now and he hasn't stopped singing since he started so he keeps getting better

@@ojmcclanahan689 i count drinking as drugs. he stopped smoking cigs in 2018 tho
@@CarnageRemixes You count smoking as a drug and not drinking?
@@ojmcclanahan689 i think you got that a bit mixed up there. but i count both smoking and drinking as drugs, i should've elaborated that previously.
Never, ever gets old.
Still a banger, just as much as it was all those years ago.

Band:You can't cover your own song Corey
Corey: Hold my mic.
technically, it's a stonesour song
@meherenow793 technically it's a Corey Taylor song they put on a Stonesour album, check the writing credits😉
You made me laugh while vaping, it's a damn win. 🥸
@@dbzmaggotgematria is he covering the corey taylor version here or the stonesour version? 🤔
Ace does that too
Corey's voice is like a fine wine gets better with age 🍷🐐
I prefer the original version but it's good to have this one as well I guess.
I actually prefer his vocal performance in this over the original. You got me though a lot of dark times Corey, thank you.
Let’s do this again \m/
can't believe this song is 22 years old already, cool version tho, both thumbs up!
Time flies. Shocking 😯
Improved on an already great song.
This song had been beside me at the roughest of time. Thank you corey.
i didn't know i needed this until this very moment..
Cory has that voice that can sing anything in any genre. Would love to have him sing some of my original lyrics
Can't wait to hear him signing regae 😉😁
@@thebendu33lol 🤣 he wouldn't be good however hearing him sing The Good Lord by The Abyssinians or Natural Mystic by Bob Marley would be fun.

Keep your head up! It will be worth it.
When I heard this rendition last September, I was hoping this got remade and now...HELL YEAH!
One of the songs that show Taylor is also really good at low energy, softer songs as well as straight metal.
Still holds up!
Oh damn yes! That same feeling of chill throughout the body and pleasant feelings from memories.
This brings back so many memories of being at school, when this song first came out when I was 13 years old. I wish I could go back to those days
Such a hauntingly beautiful song.
thnx didnt no there was a new one still had the old one in the playlist since i believe 2002/2003 and still gives me goose bumbs every time i hear it.
I had chills from beginning to end, fucking love this. I needed it today.

The remake I never knew I needed
Really the great song
I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure this is the first time someone covered their own song 😂😂 but I love it 🤘
Oh, Corey... You magnificent beast! Thank you for this. Love Bother '02, love this one more.
I have never been this early on any video, bangin song.
Lenda!
Kind of needed something today and this works out well!
SLIPPIN!

Not as much emotion in this vocal delivery.

You seem to be pretty upset that a dude who wrote a song years ago decided to do a new version of his own song. It's going to be okay.
