These cacti are not like the cacti I’m used to sprouting. Keep them forever moist when they are babies until they are an inch to two inches. Then cut back.. I never really knew they needed so much water until I tried growing these beautiful guys. I lost all 10 of my sprouts because I treated them like a prickly pear sprout. You only need to water them a little and not moisten them since it can cause root rot easily for those cacti. And I found out I had an adult dragon fruit growing in one of my pots and it gave me a delicious surprise. Best tasting dragon fruit I ever had. I do believe it’s different from the store variety I tried growing. The inside was half white and half hot pink. I’m a proud dragon fruit owner and I didn’t even know it! :)
@@eddiemart4 keep the soil they are in relatively moist. So misting some water on it almost every day if you live in a very dry area with low humidity. If it’s more humid and you have more moss and ferns that grow in your area; mist with water every two to three days. Keep doing that until they get to an inch of length after sprouting. Then cut back on watering a bit. :) hope this helps. They look awesome when they are babies!
We probably didn't. I was there to help and we boiled them, peeled off the skin, chopped them, and jarred them. So I don't think so. Does pressure cooking sterilize the seeds?
@@2coolforyou197 i grew it since 2018 or 2019? till 2022 and it grew abt 4ft just never ever bloomed or fruited! i ended up giving her to some lady on facebook cuz i was moving tho so who knows if it's even alive still :/
This video is really awesome! And I still can't believe that I see these beautiful cacties growing next to my window every day))) Baby dragons have been growing for a month already)))))
I did the same, I also grew them from seeds and they have been growing in a pot for more than 40 days but their growth stopped; They sprouted but have not developed thorns. I think my mistake was leaving them in direct sun for 3 days, but hydrating them only with water in a pot with substrate, not so drained. Any recommendation? Did you take yours out into the sun? 😢😢😢
Ok my dragon fruit from seeds I got out of a fruit are in dirt now about 2-3 months and are the same size as yours after you planted them from the water! I had to use glasses and tweezers to be able to plant them after I saw they had sprouted a root. They are tiny. I have a grow light I use. I don’t know what to do with them. They are still so tiny I’m scared to transplant them. Ugh
What I don't understand is how the seed knows the difference between the wet flesh of the fruit and the wet puddle of water. Most seeds actually exist in a dry cavity. Crack open an apple, the seeds are in a small dry cavity inside the fruit. These ones appeared to be right in the flesh.
Dihydrogen monoxide has two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom in a polar covalent type of bond. The oxygen atom is more electronegative, so the two hydrogen atoms are covalently bonded to oxygen. Oxygen has 6 valence electrons, while hydrogen has 1.
It worked for me🎉❤ but my saplings just don't have a girth in their size .now it has been about u 5 inches but still it's in a size of a pencil.why is it so? Can you tell the tips to get a better good plant 😊 Also im your new subscriber ❤
From seed to first harvest is usually a minimum of 4 years. So....just be aware of that if you're thinking of growing one
That’s really not a long time compared to most fruits
That isn't a long time... and they feuit for 30 years...
:(
Really? 😭😭😭 i have one seeds
Start today lest you regret not having any plant in 4 years.
I wanna see a full 4 year time lapse until the tree fruits. 😂

i grew one from one of the dragon fruit chunks in my starbucks drink lol
lmao how tall is it
One of my parents jarred some tomatoes to preserve then for later consumption and the seed started sprouting lol

Thumbs up if you didn’t know dragon fruit grew on cacti before these time lapsed videos
Nop
So thumbs down if I did?
Lol, i found out when my sprouts started growing cactus buds instead of a second set of leaves. That was certainly a surprise!
I know you do time-lapse videos, but do you do updated videos on the plants that you already grow? I love all your videos I just was curious.
Yes, we're planning doing it in the future. An update can be a new video or a post in our community page.
@@eLapseTimecan you tell me the best soil mix for growing these?
I was so sad the seed I was watching at the beginning didn't sprout at all😭 But still cool to see things grow!
Cool short! I loved watching it! One question was that water you put the seeds in?
Also I’m a new subscriber!
Yes, it's water

Not really. They're supposed to grow straight. All mine do.

This takes a lot of patience.. BIG RESPECT! ✊ 😍
Боже, я хочу прорастить себе такую штуку. Только найти бы - где купить драгонфрут этот в нашем захолустье!
You can also take a polithin and put the seed in it and make many holes to polithin and then take a glass and stick polithin with it by rubber
really great to see dragon fruit here, We have red dragon fruit plantation,
bro why is the light source at an angle, little guy is gonna topple over trying to reach it
My baby ones are now under 1cm…just 4yrs to go for the fruit, if they survive 😅

Dragon fruit is look like a cactus 😊❤ a seed 🌵
Anyone thought we'd get another dragon fruit at the end?
Me
today i learned that a dragonfruit seed can grow into a cactus.
That poor first seed didn't germinate. 😢
Are they dancing ?!,
This is so "AMAZING" ! 💯💫🔥❗️

It went strait towards the light source.
It looks like it's stretching it's hand out. How aesthetic😮
This made me smile 😌 thank you
👍 An excellent intiative you have taken
I find this sorta cute in a way
We have a dragon fruit tree. It takes minimum 5-7 years for give a single fruit. And this fruit takes 30-40 days minimum to grow properly.
Im sorry is that water you are using to help them sprout?
Yes, it's water

If growing indoors, you can start anytime.
What is the name of the liquid that you kept inside
