Been waiting for this! I value your reviews with the best of them! I think Kawasaki did a great job and these machines are even nicer in person! Keep up the good work man!
Watching these things walk past you in Moab while you're in a mostly stock SUV is humbling. They fly through obstacles almost the same pace as dirt-bikes do. I used to not understand why they were so expensive until I watched them scramble up stuff in Moab that jeeps on 35's and up tire sizes were having trouble with.
Shoot I have yet to find a guy on a dirtbike that can keep up with me through the whoops in my rzr xp turbo. I was blown away by the suspension when I bought it and I used to race full factory tuned bikes. A performance sxs stock is one of the baddest machines out there.
No doubt that Moab is the 8th wonder of the world, been their many many times. My 2019 YXZ SS SE just eats up these tough trails, and loves the whoops and desert trails as well. I used to own a Teryx T4, it did well in Moab over the rocks so this new KRX will be a step above for sure. Polaris is the one to worry the most -- Kawasaki, Honda, and Yamaha are clearly in the game now and Polaris will continue to lose market share. They have lost 20 points over the last three years or so.
The teryx kinda seems like a last but not least deal, they took feedback from sxs users from other competitive manufacturers to make a well round machine
The Talon looks like somebody kicked it in the a$$, after piecing the bodywork together.. Honda completely dropped the ball on the look of the Talon.. everything else is pretty much spot on.. looks are an opinion though
I went to the local dealer to have a look at it with my three little grand kids and to get free pizza they always have there on Saturdays. It is a very nice machine, was bigger than it looks on RUclips videos. I liked it better than the Honda Talon, I ended up getting a RZR 170. Darn grand kids would not get out of it, I think it was there plan all along.
just got my Kaw 1000. haven't had it out yet looking forward to it. thanks for you video it make me happy to see it do so well. will let you know how I do later
i smirked when i first saw the specs on it. but seeing one in action i was kinda impressed with it. the suspension and drivetrain are beefy. you can see where the extra weight comes from. its not gonna win any drag races but thats not what its all about either. msrp at$24,xxx is whats going to kill sales on it. imo its going to have to be down in the $16-$17k price range to compete with regular xps and base model x3s for it to ever get took off.
Looks like a great machine, love the review. But nobody seems to address the problem of strapping them down to a trailer. why can't they seem to weld in hooks or something to tie to. I have owned several different machines and have always struggled to find places to put a strap.
Im really curious about how the engine braking works? Say your in 4-L going down a steep loose surface, does it only engage the rear tires like a Polaris or does it actually engage all 4 tires?
I could live without the "sunroof" panel. I'd actually prefer the cheaper, all black roof... but it says, "coming soon" so no telling how long til it's out.
Definitely like the roof especially if you’re out riding and you suddenly get an unexpected rain ☔️ 🌧 that’s gonna help keep you from getting completely soaked and ruin your ride for the day
Well I like my krx it's alright I'm handicapped and it's hard to get in but easy to get out and it rides much better and it is really smooth on the takeoff so everything in the commercial above it's true and I can't wait to put more miles on
The race is on now I'm just waiting on the first Japanese company to give me a high performance 4x4 four wheeler non by side. Kawasaki Yamaha or Honda who will get there first
Saw one at a dealer a few weeks ago. IMO the nicest looking (exterior) SXS on the market now, and the suspension and steering components are very beefy compared to most others. Unfortunately the seats are very hard and uncomfortable and the interior design and fit and finish is at the lower end (ie Polaris, Odes, Massimo, etc). The machine is heavy, which means well built, but that does have an impact on acceleration. Thanks for the honest review as always. I'm a Kawasaki fan and I hope this new machine is successful for them and they continue to refine the design and offer related models in the future.
I was dead set on a the krx trail version tell I seen the interior. Pretty hurt about it. But what finished it off was they don’t even have a 12v charger? Like come on everything has a charger, even some four wheelers..
Compare this to a wildcat xx very similar less hp more travel very plain inside but also very pricey The reason every one else is building there machines heaver is to keep up with cat who did it first. Roll cage not race ready Is there enough charging to keep up with all of the accessories
It's heavy and I wouldn't personally buy one but it's no doubt in a different league than a wildcat. Wildcats are decent for the very short time they actually run.
I’ve got a can am maverick X.3. It’s older than that one and has more interior comforts? Pretty sure if I buy another one it will have to have everything the Polaris has including a radio so going to be hard to sell that one that you’re showing me
You noted Tackling "Wipe Out Hill". Well before SxS's, this was a hill that most ATV riders watched only the highly experienced ATV rock crawlers tackle. So upon listening to your review noting the KRX's suspension and fully understanding a longer wheel base makes all the difference for Conquering Moab and not just watching someone else conquer. Take into account adding more weight for accessories I would NOT buy the KRX until a turbo is a factory option. A turbo with that new centrifugal clutch and a 6 month warranty?? Well for $20K I'll be a spectator a bit longer to see how well this plays out. Please try getting one for a long term review.
Talon does 64mph in LOW RANGE with 31 inch tires. Kawi barely does 30mph?? A belt (rubber band) versus a real geared (6-speed) transmission? 2,000 lbs versus 1500 lbs. Certainly does not seem like a killer to me.
Ramon Almodovar you are right in the hook's cause iam part of a off road club ATVs and side by sides and when the Polaris rzrs get stuck we have now where to tie them up to up front. I have a Yamaha Kodiak and don't have that problem when the mine
I checked one out just yesterday, awesome looking machine, best looking IMO. Very beefy, seems very well built. But to wide, won't fit in my newly purchased $40000 toy hauler. And only 112 hp!? Won't be enough with it weighing as much as it does. Was excited for kawasaki and was ready to trade in the Polaris, not a chance now. To bad, great looking machine.
Wow Honda and Kawasaki really came up with fresh new looks ;) I realize there are only so many ways to build a UTV but damn. Way to build a slightly updated 6 year old xp1000
Out of all the side by side you have reviewed this is the best looking and from your review you seemed pretty impressed yourself. Thanks for sharing.
As a Kawasaki boy, this thing got me Peter reving!
Dick Van Dyke oh my god dude.
Been waiting for this! I value your reviews with the best of them! I think Kawasaki did a great job and these machines are even nicer in person! Keep up the good work man!
Best looking UTV on the market in my opinoin
I have a 23 and it has done everything I have put in front of it, great machine

@@jbird1173 A dirtbike rider that's any good will walk away from a rzr turbo in the whoops. I know, I own both.
@@dunerinaz absolutely i own both as well ill take my TX300 anytime against the side by side in the whoops

Great job! I am a fan of the roof! Loved the sunroof option.
Having seen it in person this past weekend, I like it. Good looking nicely built machine. Great review!
Great review man! I love how much enthusiasm you have doing these reviews. You can tell you love doing this job. How can you not?
I love this thing! We need a low 60" model!
I'd like it more if it were 60 inches, or even 64.
Kawasaki should do a TRX Ninja version with a supercharger like the Ninja H2 bike!
Or do a 999cc brute force
They have came a long way since the Honda Oddessey.
The teryx kinda seems like a last but not least deal, they took feedback from sxs users from other competitive manufacturers to make a well round machine
TFLoffroad just put Dirt Tracks TV on the trailer. Keep up the amazing work fellas, Cheers!🍻
no annoying bobble heads either
My only complaint about the talon is it didn't come with bigger tires.
The Talon looks like somebody kicked it in the a$$, after piecing the bodywork together.. Honda completely dropped the ball on the look of the Talon.. everything else is pretty much spot on.. looks are an opinion though
I like the tinted panel roof!!!

Well done Pat, Surely a memory they will never forget!👍👍😊
Pat Polaris? gonna have alot problems with it watch
TFL. The constant camera angle of watching the driver gets VERY old
Awesome video Stephen...love watching these machines..Thanks Stephen..🏁🏁🏁 TFL is Awesome.
That thing with a turbo would sell like crazy in the southeast. Great review
Best review I have seen yet way to go
Thank you for posting the torque numbers. No one has yet and i think in these heavy sxs the torque number is very important factor everyone skips over
Randal Sweeting nope because its at maximum tourqe withnthe cvt. Something around 60 ft lbs at the wheels
just got my Kaw 1000. haven't had it out yet looking forward to it. thanks for you video it make me happy to see it do so well. will let you know how I do later

Again you did a Great Review, i would prefer no window in the roof.
Nice kawi, I’ll still take the Talon
If Kawasaki really wanted to make "splash", then maybe start with the starting price. Something like $14,999 or $15,999 for the base model TRX.
Jeremy Rhodes krx u idiot
Can't see this coming out at 16,000 to make a splash, then in two years go to 20+. Imagine that tidal wave!
Looks like a great machine, love the review. But nobody seems to address the problem of strapping them down to a trailer. why can't they seem to weld in hooks or something to tie to. I have owned several different machines and have always struggled to find places to put a strap.

Thanks for an excellent and unique review!!
Great ride beautiful place
This is the only dirt racer that fits tall guys.
It’s almost 2024. When is the turbo kit coming?
good machine for Kawi, real world price around 18K would help sell it
Some dealers have them $14899
If I'm buying an NA machine, this is the one I'm buying.
Man I love my KRX
I could live without the "sunroof" panel. I'd actually prefer the cheaper, all black roof... but it says, "coming soon" so no telling how long til it's out.
Maybe when the 2021s come out you could do a demo ride that's what I'm waiting on the 21s good job
Got me tempted to trade in the yxz
Nick Wright 852 You can’t beat the sound of an engine shifting through gears though.
@@spreaddeezhazelnutz7511 yeah I know I lovey yxz but I'm a kawi guy at heart lol
This thing couldn't touch the yamaha
It's great climb mode and woops is better than talon but drag talon takes it cvt slower on take off
Definitely like the roof especially if you’re out riding and you suddenly get an unexpected rain ☔️ 🌧 that’s gonna help keep you from getting completely soaked and ruin your ride for the day
The turbo is dead. No info a year later?

Good video guys
Very good review.
Thanks for the great video. Does Moab have a trail guide so you know where to go?
Thanks for video
Can’t beat Japanese brands
Good looking machine.

You can buy the KRX at different places for 16,200.00.
Weird price differences from the States and Canada. Yxz is the most expensive in Canada, but second cheapest in the States. ??
What trail is this? Renting this on Sunday
Bout time!.. but $$$$. Thanks for the video!
Nice kawi, looks like they used the lights from the textron havoc
I was dead set on a the krx trail version tell I seen the interior. Pretty hurt about it. But what finished it off was they don’t even have a 12v charger? Like come on everything has a charger, even some four wheelers..
My 23 has 2
check your rear axels we had ours for 3 days and the back axels popped out
Called up the dealer in New Zealand to ask if they were getting any in. Yup but the price tag is an eye watering $42k NZD
I just bought a 2023 KRX and I love it but it is under-powered. Its too heavy for that engine. Also you are right about the noise.
This or Talon R? 🤔
Love this thing but what's with all the emphasis on the centrifugal clutch? Yamaha and Suzuki has been doing this for years.
So for this there is no shifters like its basically automatic?
Doesn't it look like an off brand razor in the front though? It's all I can see
so.....witch is today the best atmospherig carburatet mashine ? i want to buy one next month……..
What part fell off on the trail at 4:42?? It is Kawasaki green to.
It is a rock painted green. Kawasaki painted it and told people to avoid it. Go around it.
He drove directly over it.
@@sb4360 Yep!
They should make one with a turbo
Pretty impressed. But with an ad on for a turbo your looking at like $32,000 (assuming turbo will be around $4000)! Really high.
Thanks for helping me decide KRX it is !!!👍👍💯
Where is the rad located?
Dude it sounds great. A lot better than Cam Am’s 3 cylinder. This one sounds a lot like a xp rzr
Both CanAm and Yamaha triples sound way better than the pos Briggs & Stratton lawn mower sounding Popo.
Prorider tastes differ
@@prorider6997 LOL
Watch out, Skynet is following you (2:54). lol
Yxz seems to be the best value
i like this machine
Does the krx have 4x4 shuft on the fly or do you have to stop
From high to low you have to slow to a crawl for it to engage
Only 112 HP?
An exhaust should fix the poor sound.
Compare this to a wildcat xx very similar less hp more travel very plain inside but also very pricey The reason every one else is building there machines heaver is to keep up with cat who did it first. Roll cage not race ready Is there enough charging to keep up with all of the accessories

Dunerinaz are you referring to the original wildcat or the XX with the Yamaha engine?
Always a fan of your reviews, but come on man that grab handle is not, nor anywhere near "pretty tight"
I want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How is that cvt over the 6spd talon?
Pech Michael & Christina its way smoother. The talon is very jerky on slow terrain. In the open its smooth but stop and go 5mph its very jerky.
I’ve got a can am maverick X.3. It’s older than that one and has more interior comforts?
Pretty sure if I buy another one it will have to have everything the Polaris has including a radio so going to be hard to sell that one that you’re showing me
So it's a green RZR VERY INOVATIVE !!!!!!!!!!
Compare the the Kawasaki to the Polaris please.

Hate sunroofs on anything
You had nothing on how much room you had
Tires are way out past cab, your going to get a lot of mud inside when muddling
Talon does 64mph in LOW RANGE with 31 inch tires. Kawi barely does 30mph?? A belt (rubber band) versus a real geared (6-speed) transmission? 2,000 lbs versus 1500 lbs. Certainly does not seem like a killer to me.
I call it slimer
so much thoughts in 5 years .. forgets the most basic for offroading .. HOOKS and a freaking tires that actually can be bought everywhere .. not 31
Ramon Almodovar you are right in the hook's cause iam part of a off road club ATVs and side by sides and when the Polaris rzrs get stuck we have now where to tie them up to up front. I have a Yamaha Kodiak and don't have that problem when the mine

Problem is it with a turbo kit it’s too close to a turbo rr X3 in price. This thing at 22k with the turbo kit would be awesome.
A shame they wont make a 6 speed manual, with a clutch.
Wow Honda and Kawasaki really came up with fresh new looks ;)
I realize there are only so many ways to build a UTV but damn. Way to build a slightly updated 6 year old xp1000
Sorry but looks like a RZR!
Kawasaki should do a narrower version
To big can't be used on the east coast trails, 65 inch wide trail systems here, to long also, they dropped the ball as always great foe the desert
Negative homey, it’s still a Belt drive. BORING
